Ibrahim Khaleel hails from Hyderbad and has moved to USA with his wife who is a doctor and settled there. After moving to America, Ibrahim Khaleel makes sure he doesn’t miss to pursue his career in cricket. In US, cricket is a young sport which is still under upbringing. Hence, the cricketing opportunities are very low and the wicket-keeper batsman found it difficult to make way to the team there.

He used to be up early and play club crickets to keep his game alive.

The hard work though eventually paid off after the ICC Americas who look after the selection of the players and the team announced the 15-member squad for the upcoming tournament Ibrahim was one of them. It took 4 years for him to finally see his dream come true.

For the once who didn’t know, Ibrahim Khaleel had made a good name in the domestic circuit in India as well. He once made a record of most number of dismissals by a wicket-keeper in a first-Class match in a Plate Group B match against Assam in 2011 where he bagged 14 victims. He was also bought up by Mumbai Indians franchise side earlier but never got a chance to play.
After staying away from his wife for a long time, he decided to move to the USA.

He will be playing in the USA squad for the ICC Division Three League tournament, which begins in Uganda next month.

Wish you all the very best , Ibrahim Khaleel!
