Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar is the Indian Olympic contingent’s goodwill ambassador. Sachin Tendulkar seems to be in a swing, as he reached to the Rio Olympics even before the ceremony opened. Nita Ambani who is chosen the member of the International Olympic Committee also was spotted along with Sachin. Sachin was selected as a goodwill ambassador from our country, by Thomas Bach- the president of International Olympic Committee. Sachin took a special interest after accepting the invitation.
Sachin himself wrote a letter to International Olympics Association that he was pleased by their invitation. He also mentioned that he was excited to be at Rio to cheer up on the athletes. Sachin has been quite interested in raising the awareness and he started off with his branding there. This is quite an encouragement for all the athletes, who are going to participate in the Olympics.
Sachin Tendulkar, who is active on his Twitter posted a picture posing near the famous “Christ the redeemer” statue at Rio. This took the fans go crazy over and the tweeps are more than just gleeful. This spirit of Sachin Tendulkar is definitely so inspiring and encouraging.
It is for the first time that India has sent the largest battalion of athletes to an Olympic event. There are 118 athletes and a huge staff to attend them. Sachin Tendulkar’s presence is being considered a very good sign and all are hoping for the best this time. Sachin is the best boost for all the athletes to give them moral and mental support. The Indian mHockey team would face Ireland to mark the Gold conquest today.
