Ever since PV Sindhu made herself into the finals of the Rio Olympics in the women’s badminton, she has become not just a sensation but an icon of inspiration in pursuing one’s dreams.
At the age of 21, PV Sindhu made it to her first Olympics at Rio and marched straight into the finals showcasing great skill and confidence in her play. With the former world champion and now a coach Gopichand, PV Sindhu made the cricket watching country turn their heads towards badminton which otherwise is not given much attention.
Today morning, Sindhu arrived at the Rajiv Gandhi International airport and ever since she landed in India, the state has been awaiting to start celebrations. They were boarded on a special open double-decker bus commissioned by the Telangana government which was brought all the way from Mumbai which will lead to the Gachibowli Stadium. The ever smiling Sindhu was seen in great joy waving to the crowd and acknowledging all the cheers all along her way. Accompanying PV Sindhu and Gopi, even Srikanth Kadambi, who was also trained by Gopichand and reached the men’s badminton quarter finals was accompanied
The Rio medalist will be facilitated along with coach Gopichand amidst the gathering after taking a victory lap inside the stadium.
