Vijay Anna,
I celebrate your accomplishments far more than my own, treat your defeats as my own loss. This note is penned from the most honest part of my heart, a fan’s purest emotions in the form of words…
I’m pleased to have known you way before Pelli Choopulu got released. I consider myself to be a rare fan who has known you on a personal level. And whoever has known you on that scale will all comment just one thing. “You are a gem of a person. A person with the heart of gold.”
Social Media may have cursed you by tagging you with that bad boy image, this really hurts me because I know, I truly know you aren’t what social media falsely claims you to be. Nevertheless, you’ve been heaping success no matter the obstacles are and one day that very success will be the evidence that you’re not that bad boy. People will realise that and they will be inspired. Just keep on with the same attitude!
Speaking of your famed career, one need not be a fan to recognise the paradigm shift in the Vijay from Pelli Choopulu, Arjun Reddy, Geetha Govindam to the Vijay of current time. As a fan I really want to know if you’re really impressed by the scripts you come across? Whether you’re making films just for the sake of it? Is someone or something forcing you to take up these projects? Are you not able to comprehend the lifelessness within the stories?
You are definitely giving your 100% to your movies. But no efforts, hardwork, actor is above the content and the content of speaks absolutely nothing. It’s a praise to even consider the content garbage. Let alone your hardwork, these stories doesn’t even deserve your time. It pains me that you’re transforming yourself for such scripts.
At the end of the day, it’s entirely up to you decide what kind of movies you ake, but please pay heed to one small request. Is your goal to reach only a certain section of audience? or will you think of the entire audience and then commit to a film? Just go back to the Pelli Choopulu, Geetha Govindam days which fetched you a wider spectrum of audience. Arjun Reddy which bought you unprecedented number of fans, all this can credited to the units that you worked with. They shared the same vibe as you, same eagerness, same energy to produce a good film, same committment, same vision…all these factors led up to the movies being blockbusters. And now it’s just you and nobody, absoultely nobody sharing your passion for your movies. Please try to work with people who’s got the same enthusiasm as you do. Please, please, please.
I’m not requiring that you only make hits or blockbusters. Failure are, and have to a part of one’s journey and I’m definitely not a fan who remains a fan only if you’re a part of successful films. The results are so not a judging factor for me. I’d still remain your fan even if you’re part of a string of flops, but as a fan even we’d like our hero score a good hit, even we’d want to be proud of hero’s film, even we want to raise our collars, our heads with utmost pride but the content you’ve been choosing recently is far from what we as fans would like, this is the ony reason which made me vent this letter.
Please anna, please do movies which you truly belive and not craps like these. Please bring back the Vijay who shared exceptional stories, please get back THE VIJAY DEVERAKONDA. We’re in severe need of it.
I really don’t know if I have the rights to say all this but a humble request.
Yours,
Mr.ViolentBoy (VB)
