Mallanna Sagar Water Reservoir or Project, is inaugurated by Telangana CM KCR On Feb 23rd. Mallanna Sagar Project is proposed, designed and constructed under Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS). This mammoth and largest water body is constructed to Solve water issues of farmers and other industrial usage and drinking water to Medak and nearby districts.

Telangana State Govt has acquired 17,871 acres of land for the project built near Thoguta in Siddipet district

It is designed to attract tourists with an attractive globe shape of over 600 meters above sea level, with a depth of 557 meters

Mallanna Sagar will provide irrigation to 11.29 lakh acres in Medak, Siddipet & nearby districts. And 30 tmc will be used for drinking water and 16 tmc will be used for industrial work in Hyderabad & Secunderabad
