It’s raining visual wonders and period dramas. After the success of Bahubali, film makers are keen on making some historical and period visual extravaganzas. Also after seeing the market, they are not shying from investing heavy budgets as they are sure of getting the returns if they can pull off a decent movie. Recently it was announced that ‘The Mahabharatha’ is being made with a whopping 1000 crore budget with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal as lead. So in the league, there is one more huge film coming up from an interesting collaboration.

Famous Tollywood producer Allu Aravind is producing one of the best epic dramas in Indian history ‘The Ramayana’. This movie is being produced on a mammoth budget of Rs.500 Crore in three languages, Telugu, Hindi and Tamil. Speaking at the launch of the film, Allu Aravind said, “Making the Ramayana is not an easy task. We must produce it with a responsibility to maintain the sanctity of such wonderful and aesthetic epic drama. We would like to celebrate its grandeur and make a memorable film.”

Interestingly the movie would be made in 3-Dimensional format and would be divided into three parts, considering the length of the story and narration. Allu Aravind is teaming up with Madhu Mantena of Phantom Films and Namit Malhotra of Prime Focus to make this wonder work. Aravind and MadhuMantena have previously teamed up for Aamir Khan Starrer ‘Ghajini’, which was India’s first film to collect a 100 crore rupees. The film’s shoot is tentatively starting in October or November and the cast and crew details were not revealed yet.
