An ordinary man from Burri Palem village entered into movies on his own. He believed in himself and made everyone believe in him as an actor. Started his career with minor roles in Kula Gothralu in 1961, Padandi Mundhuku in 1962, and Paruvu Prathishta in 1963. Thene Manasulu has changed everything for Krishna as he roped in as one of the leads in the movie. He went on to make movies after Thene Manuslu and Kanne Manusulu but the Gudachari 116 movie in 1966 gave him a breakthrough. Movies like Mosgallaku Mosagadu, Alluri Sitaramaraju, Simhasanam, Agent Gopi, Kurukshteram made him a superstar of Telugu Cinema.
Krishna rose to stardom on par with Sr NTR and ANR in late 70’s and 80’s. He introduced many technical strengths to Telugu Cinema. He broke many stereotypes from selecting scripts to budget restrictions making movies, adding technical brilliance to movies. Superstar Krishna the name which doesn’t need any introduction but deserves a standing ovation for his contribution towards Telugu Cinema.
