8 Big South Heroes & Their Biggest Flop Movies In 2022
South Indian Movies shined this year with PAN-Indian blockbusters. Movies RRR, KGF 2 set new standards in terms of the content, collections and larger than life stories. On other hand, small budget movies like Sita Ramam, Kantara and Karthikeya also shined at Indian box office with strong content.
Everything is good but few big south heroes failed to score a hit , instead they delivered huge disasters. Yes, big south heroes like Chiranjeevi, Vikram, Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Deverakonda saw huge flops this year.

1. Chiranjeevi – Acharya
Megastar Chiranjeevi joined hands with Koratala Siva, the director who didn’t have a flop in his filmography. But Acharya was the first disaster for him as the director. Chir saw the biggest flop after his comeback and this movie is the first ever combination with his son Ram Charan.
Both mega father and son together witnessed the biggest flop in 2022 with Acharya movies.
2. Vikram – Cobra
Vikram, who is known for versatility and unique scripts, now came up with another unique movie called Cobra. Directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, this movie failed big time at the box office. The complicated plot, lagged screenplay and second half with unnecessary twists and scenes makes this one a big disaster of the year for Vikram.
3. Akkineni Nagarjuna – The Ghost
Nagarjuna’s The Ghost movie directed by Praveen Sattaru resulted as a biggest disaster at the box office. This action saga lacks the emotional connect and failed to impress the audience.
4. Mohanlal – Aarattu & Monster
Mohan Lal who scored a hit with Drishyam 2 in 2021 faced back to back flops in 2022 with Aarattu & Monster. Aarattu is a mass action movie that went wrong and Monster crime thriller failed to engage the audience.
5. Thalapathy Vijay – Beast
Thalapathy Vijay discord a huge flop with Beast movie in 2022. Beast directed by Nelson Dileep who delivered a hit movie like Doctor failed this time. This action drama is flat from start to end and the only good part about this movie is Anirudh’s music and his terrific BGM.
6. Suriya – Etharakkum Thunindhavan
Suriya faced a big flop after his back to back hits like Soorarai Pottru and Jai Bhim in 2021. This mass masala movie failed to impress the fans and family audience.
7. Shivraj Kumar – Bairagee
Kannada star hero Shivraj Kumar had a couple of releases this year. His high voltage action drama Bairagee failed big time at the box office.
8. Vijay Deverakonda – Liger
The young star hero Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger movie released as PAN-India movie resulted as the biggest PAN-Indian disaster at the box office. This sports drama offers nothing but cringe-fest to Rowdy fans and other audiences.
