Before the saas- bahu drama took on a negative turn and became the only genre on television, there was TuTu Main Main. That was probably the only time we dint wince at the idea of watching saas- bahu drama. The quirky relation between the mother – in- law and daughter- in- law made it one of the most loved comedy serial on tv.
Reema Lagoo as Devaki Verma, the mother- in- law:
She was the chirpy, stubborn mother- in- law with a great sense of humour. After this role she went on to act in many Hindi and Marathi films and also continued with her roles in comic serials. She has won many awards for her roles in various films. Some of her famous roles are in Maine PyaarKiya, KalHoNaaHo, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun and many more.
Supriya Pilgaonkar as RadhaVerma, the daughter- in- law:
She played the right match to her quirky mother- in- law. She is one of the most sought after actress on television. After the show, she acted in many other serials like SasuralGendaPhool, Thakur Girls and also won the Nach Baliye season 1 with her husband. She is currently playing the role of Ishwari Dixit in Kuch Rang PyaarKeAiseBhi on Sony Tv.
Mahesh Thakur as Ravi Verma, Radha’s husband:
He was stuck between the two ladies of the house, unable to take any side. He has acted in a lot of films and Daily soaps. He is best known for his roles in Hum SaathSaath Hai, Satya 2 and many others. In tv, some of his best roles are as Suraj in Shararat, Kamal Kishore in SasuralGendaPhool etc. He currently plays the negative role of Tej Oberoi, a successful businessman in Ishqbaaz on StarPlus.
Sachin Pilgaonkar as Chandan, Ravi’s cousin:
The only person Ravi shared his problems with and received hilarious suggestions in return. A famous personality in his own sense, he was a big name during the serial itself. He has done many Marathi films and continued his stint in television. He along with his wife, Supriya, won the inaugural season of Nach Baliye.
Jayati Bhatia as Kumud, Radha’s friend:
They shared each other’s problems and her visit caused a heart for the saas. She has played many famous roles in JassiJaisi koi Nahi, KahaniGharGhar Ki, KasautiZindagi Ki etc, She was also a part of JhalakDikhlaja season 5 and has also done a lot of plays and theatre work.
