Dada Saheb Phalke Award to the legend, Kasinathuni Viswanath

Dad Saheb Phalke award is India’s highest cinema related award. It is presented annually at the National Film Awards ceremony by the Directorate of Film Festivals, an organization set up by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The recipient is honored for their “outstanding contribution to the growth and development of Indian cinema”.

The government of India conferred the award recognizing his terrific contribution to the development and growth of Indian cinema. I and B (Information and Broadcasting) Minister M Venkaiah Naidu today approved the recommendation of the Dada saheb Phalke Award committee. He was awarded and felicitated with Swarna Kamal, a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh and a shawl. The award shall be conferred by the President of India at a function on May 3 at Vigyan Bhawan.

K.Vishwanath gaaru is an Indian film, sound designer turned director and actor known for his works in Telugu Cinema, Tamil Cinema and Hindi Cinema. He is the recipient of five National Film Awards, six state Nandi Awards, ten Filmfare Awards, and a Bollywood Filmfare Award. He also received international recognition for his works, and is known for blending parallel cinema with mainstream commercial cinema. From his debut till now, he has presented himself in outstanding roles. And the movies he gave the cinema field are definitely to be watched.
