India is famous for its chaat recipes, the word chaat comes from the hindi word ‘chaat’ which means to taste or to lick, the word is appropriate as it describes the taste of these recipes which is sweet and tangy and just delicious to eat. Also, these dishes are quick and easy to make and don’t require too much effort.

Bhel puri

Easy to make Indian Chaats

Bhel puri is a simple recipe which is amazing to eat whenever you want. It can be made in almost no time and is delicious to have. Making it is easy too, in a large bowl, mix the puffed rice, roasted peanuts, boiled potato, finely chopped onion, tomato, fresh coriander, and green chilies together, Add the tamarind chutney or mint-coriander chutney, chatmasala and add spices as per your own taste. Mix well and serve with plenty of sev and papdi.

Sprouts Chaat

There is nothing healthier than a bowl of sprouts salad. Sprout salad is made by mixing boiled kidney beans, sprouted moong dal and black channa along with finely chopped onions, green chillies, tomatoes and lemon juice . Add in your favorite spices and mix them thoroughly. The end result is a bowl of delicious and healthy sprouts chaat.

Papdi chaat

Papdi chaat is a popular street food and it’s a tasty and quick snack to make. Take a bowl and add curd to it. Whisk the curd until its smooth. Now take a plate and arrange the papdis on it. Once the papdis are arranged, break them into small pieces and add them to the bowl. Drizzle the coriander mint chutney. Sprinkle chaat masala powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder and little salt. Pour the curd on top followed by any remaining chutney. Serve with coriander leaves and sev.

Boondi raita

Boondi raita is a delicious dish that can be made quite easily. Take a bowl and whisk the curd till it becomes smooth. Add milk to the bowl and mix well. Then add boondi, green chilli, salt, roasted cumin powder, dry mint powder, fennel powder and red chilli powder and mix well. Transfer the raita into a serving bowl and garnish with fresh coriander. Boondi Raita is best served chilled.

Fruit chaat

A lip-smacking fruit chaat is easy to make and delicious to eat, It is made by tossing together fruits in a bowl and adding chaat masala to them and mixing them well.
