Enjoy Sitting At Home During The Weekend? Here Are A Few Easy Recipes To Spice Up Your Weekend

If sitting at home, cooking for yourself and your family a scrumptious meal to take the weekend at your pace. Here are a few recipes that you can try depending on the protein of your choice.

The recipes are:

1.Chicken Kurma:

Ingredient list:

  • Washed and cleaned chicken
  • Oil
  • Dry Masala (Cloves, Elaichi, Cinnamon)
  • Curry Leaves
  • Coriander Leaves
  • Two onions – chopped
  • A paste of Poppy Seeds and Kaju in equal proportion
  • Ginger Garlic Paste
  • Red Chilli Powder
  • Corriander Powder
  • Cumin Powder

Procedure:

On medium flame, place a pressure cooker on the stove and add 3 tsp of oil and dry masala (Cloves, Elaichi, Cinnamon). After the oil heats up, add 2 chopped onions, salt as per taste, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp ginger Garlic Paste, 1 tsp Corriander powder, 1 tsp Cumin Powder, and wait for the onions to turn golden brown.

Now, add chicken, chopped tomatoes, two and a half tsp red chili powder,3 tsp of the poppy seeds and Kaju paste, 1 cup of curd, a glass of water, and let it cook for 2 whistles.

Finally, transfer it all to a pan on medium flame and add freshly chopped coriander leaves and let it cook till the desired consistency is achieved.
Very delicious Chicken Kurma is ready for you to eat with Rice, Paratha or even Dosa!

2.Masala Egg Curry:

Ingredient List:

  • Boiled Eggs (4-5)
  • Tomato Paste
  • Onion Paste
  • Ginger Garlic Paste
  • Dry Masala (Cardamom, Cloves, Black Pepper, Cinnamon)
  • Green Chillies (chopped)
  • Red Chilli Powder
  • Corriander Powder
  • Cumin Powder
  • Curry Leaves
  • Coriander Leaves

Procedure:

Let us start by roasting the eggs. Take a pan on medium flame and add oil,1tsp red chilli powder, 1tsp turmeric powder, salt as per taste and boiled eggs and mix well such that all the eggs are coated with the masala.

Next, take a pan and with medium flame, add 2 tsp oil, dry masalas(Cardamom, Cloves, Black Pepper, Cinnamon), chopped green chillies, one cup of onion paste, 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste, 1 cup tomato paste and cook it for 10 minutes.

Finally, add freshly chopped curry leaves & curry leaves, 2 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp cumin powder and roasted eggs. Add water and let it boil to the desired consistency.

A perfect egg curry to accompany with your roti, rice or appam.

3.Handi Paneer:

Ingredient List:

  • Paneer (chopped to cubes)
  • Green Chillies (chopped)
  • Onions (chopped)
  • Ginger Garlic Paste
  • Turmeric Powder
  • Coriander Powder
  • Garam Masala
  • Red Chilli Powder
  • Turmeric Powder
  • Curd (1 cup)
  • Tomato puree (1 cup)

Procedure:

Let us begin by frying our paneer cubes on a pan with oil. After which let us move on to making the gravy. Take a pan on medium flame, add 2 tsp oil, 1 bay leaf, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, chopped green chillies, salt as per taste, chopped onions, tomato puree, curd, quarter tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp red chilli powder by this time all the ingredients must have formed a dense paste to which add water depending on your requirement let it boil.

Finally, while the water boils add in half a tablespoon of coriander powder, 1 tsp garam masala, fried paneer and let it cook for 5 minutes or consistency of your choice.

Very delicious vegetarian protein, paneer curry is ready for you to dig in and enjoy the weekend and time pass by.
