How To Make Green Peas Pulao At Home

Matar Pulao is a simple recipe, which can be made in less than 30 minutes, green peas are only available during winters. Ingredients :

Basmati Rice 1 cup

Green Peas 1 cup

Ghee

Oil

Onions ½ cup

Green Chillies

Ginger Garlic Paste

Water 2 Cups

Spices

Star Anise

Mace

Cinnamon stick

Cloves

Elaichi

Bay Leaf

Mint Leaves

Coriander Leaves

Procedure :

•Wash and soak the basmati rice for 30 minutes, drain the water and keep it aside

•Now add 1 tbsp ghee to the pressure cooker and add 2 to 3 tbsp oil to the cooker.

•Now add Star Anise, Mace, Cinnamon Stick, Cloves, Elaichi and bay leaf and sauté them.

•Now add ½ cup of sliced onions and stir till the onions get golden brown, add green chilies and stir them well.

•Now add 1 cup of green peas and stir them for a minute.

•Add salt per taste, and add 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste and mint leaves to mixture and stir well.

•Now add the drained Basmati rice to the cooker and stir them gently

•You can add coriander leaves as well.

•Now add 2 cups of water to the cooker

•Now Cover the cooker and pressure cook for 2 whistles on a medium to high flame.

•Your delicious Matar Pulao is now ready.
