Hyderbad’s busiest roads are all set to witness a terrific makeover, as the Telangana Chief Minister laid the foundation for multi-level flyovers at three different parts of the city.
Multi-level flyovers are common in Western countries where there is a lot of traffic. Hyderabad, which was recently voted the best Indian city to live in, is all set to add another feather to its bejewelled cap with this step.
Also in the pipeline are skywalks, and signal-less junctions. Multi-level flyovers are a good way to ensure that the heavy traffic in a city are managed in a less chaotic manner. A lot of Indian cities are already facing a lot of traffic congestion problems due to the lack of proper planning.
The foundation stone was laid at KBR Park in Banjara Hills and at Mindspace and Rajiv Park in Hitec City areas in Hyderabad. This will be a welcome relief for commuters in Hyderabad, who have been waiting for the Hyderabad Metro Rail to become functional for a few years now.
