These 10 Ignorant Comments Made By So Called Politicians About Rape Will Make You Feel Disgusted

0

This happened in 1992. The rapists were Gujjars, the affluent and dominant caste group in their village in Rajasthan. The survivors, Bhanwari Devi and her husband, were from the low-caste potter community, Kumhar.

The five rapists took turns to rape her, in presence of her husband: all this because she had tried to prevent the wedding of a nine months old girl child, a few days ago. Does this sound like a gangrape which took place because of the supply-demand problem of sex? Does this sound like a crime driven by “sexual desire”? It was clearly vengeance, anger, frustration and an attempt of intimidation. When she went public with her complaint, she was accused of lying. Her attackers denied rape and said there had only been a quarrel. The couple were ostracised by the villagers who refused to sell them milk or buy their clay pots. Even their families boycotted them. Though she managed to get to the court, things started going downhill over the course of the trial, judges were inexplicably changed five times and eventually the accused were acquitted of rape – instead, they were found guilty of lesser offences like assault and conspiracy and were all given just nine months in jail. Some of the “bizarre reasons” the judge gave while clearing the accused of rape:

1. The village head cannot rape
2. Men of different castes cannot participate in gang rape
3. Elder men of 60-70 years cannot rape
4. A man cannot rape in front of a relative – this was with reference to two of the men, an uncle and nephew
5. A member of the higher caste cannot rape a lower caste women because of reasons of purity
6. Bhanwari Devi’s husband couldn’t have quietly watched his wife being gang-raped

They still continue to live in the same village as their rapists. When asked if they feel afraid because of this, they answer “What is there to fear? They can kill us only once.”

The above 6-points verdict is passed by a judge. Just read it again it fills your stomach with disgust, if this is not enough i am listing all the ignorant comments made by some ignorant fools who we call politicians about Rape…

Read this disgusting statements below:

1)Ranjeet Bahadur Srivastava – BJP leader, Barabanki

1The victim must have called the boy to the field because they were having an affair. This news is already out on social media and news channels. She must have got caught after that… Such girls are found dead in only some places. They will be found dead in sugarcane, corn and millet fields or in bushes, gutters or forests. Why are they never found dead in paddy or wheat fields?

2)Surendra Singh – UP BJP MLA

Rape cases can be stopped only with sanskar, not governance. While government is committed to protect, the family should be committed too to imbibe good values in their children. Sanskar and sarkaar can make India beautiful, there is no other alternative.

3)Mamata Banerjee – Chief Minister, West Bengal

Rapes happen because men and women interact freely.

4)Babulal Gaur – Madhya Pradesh, Home Minister

Rape is a social crime which depends on men and women. Sometimes it’s right, sometimes it’s wrong.

5)Mohan Bhagwat – RSS Chief

You go to villages and forests of the country and there wil be no such incidents of gang-rape or sex crimes. They are prevalent in some urban belts. The Indian ethos and attitude towards women should be revisited in the context of ancient Indian values.

6)Markandey Katju – Ex-Supreme Court Judge

When there is massive and rising unemployment, a large number of young men remian deprived of sex, even though they have reached an age when it is a normal requirement… I once again make it clear that I am not justifying rapes, rather I condemn it. But considering the situation prevailing in the country, they are bound to increase. So if we really want to end or reduce rapes we have to create a social and system in India in which there is no or little unemployment.

7)Sube Singh Samain – Spokesman, Sarva Khap Jat Panchayat

I believe this is happening because our youth is being wrongly influenced by cinema and TV. I think that girls should be married at the age of 16, so that they have their husbands for their sexula needs, and don’t need to go elsewhere. This way, rapes will not occur

8)Dharamvir – Congress Leader

I don’t feel any hesitation in saying that 90% of girls want to have sex intentionally, but they don’t know that they’ll be gangraped further, as they find some lusty and perverted people in the way. The girl has an affair with the boy, and she goes with him without knowing that he is of a criminal mindset… It’s not the state government which is responsible for rapes.

9)Asha Mirje – Maharashtra State Women’s Commission member

Did Nirbhaya really have go to watch a movie at 11 in the night with her friend? Take the Shakti Mills gang rape case. Why did the victim go to such an isolated spot at 6 PM?

10)Manohar Lal Khattar – Chief Minister of Haryana

If a girl is dressed decently, a boy will not look at ther in the wrong way. If you want freedom, why don’t they just roam around naked? Freedom has to be limited. These short clothes are western influences. Our country’s tradition asks girls to dress recently
