Snacking and binge-eating are often regarded as wrong and truly they are unhealthy. Not just that, they also make your body lazy and ruin your sleep cycle. While there are several studies that show how unhealthy midnight snacking can be, it is sometimes okay to have a cheat day, right? Also, mid-night munchies do not always have to be unhealthy.
So, here are 7 snacking ideas for all those who love staying up late in the night.

1.Bread Omelette

1 Midnight SnacksBread Omelette is one of the easiest snacking ideas. All you need are bread, eggs and some spices. Toss the bread on a pan with some butter and fry them. Then dip it in an egg batter made with eggs, salt, red chilly powder and a dash of pepper. And, if you wish to play around with your food, add onions, tomatoes, green chilles and bell peppers to your egg batter.

2.Bhel Puri

Bhel Puri is a famous Indian street food. A savoury food that falls under the chaat category, Bhel Puri is super famous for its tangy and spicy flavours. If you are having those serious chaat cravings, this is the best option. Take puffed rice, onions, tomatoes, onions, green chillies and add a dash of salt, red chilly powder and lemon juice to it. Mix it well and your Bhel is ready. You can also add sev or tamarind juice, provided you have it.

3.Biscuit Cake

Cake might seem like a task, from ingredients to oven, who can go through it in the night, right? But have you ever tried a biscuit cake? This cake can be made with minimal ingredients and you do not need an oven or a pressure cooker for it. All you need are some biscuits, cocoa powder, butter and sugar. Take your favourite biscuits, crumble them, and add a mixture of butter, cocoa powder and sugar. You can melt chocolate and use if you do not have cocoa powder. Spread the mixture evenly on the biscuit crumble and leave it in the freezer for an hour or so. Your Biscuit cake is now ready.

4.Onion Pakoda

Pakodas are welcome during any part of the day, right? They are our favourite tea-time snacks and we can never get enough of them. And, Onion Pakodas are the simplest form of Pakodas. Slice onions and mix them well in a flour batter with spices and fry them till they turn golden brown. See, that simple!

5.Popcorn

If we are asked to name our favourite movie snack, we would name Popcorn in a split second. Popcorn can be made in just a few minutes. Just pop some corn kernels in a pressure cooker, and add your favourite flavouring ingredient or spice and cook it covered until you hear a pop sound.

6.Chocolate Smoothie

Smoothies are filling and healthy. They are nutritious and taste like a dream. The best part about smoothies is that you can play around with the ingredients. To make a chocolate smoothie, you need almond or soy milk (you can use regular milk too), cocoa powder, and bananas. Grind the ingredients together. You can add Peanut Butter too for this recipe.

7.Maggie

Maggie has to be our favourite mid-night munching. It is simple to make, and also super versatile. Be it Cheese Maggie or Fried Egg Maggie, our craving and love for it is true.
