This is clearly an exciting time for Tollywood. Directors and Producers have sprung up on the scene and are experimenting with different genres, the audience is getting more adaptive, and new, talented actors are killing it with their performances. Good things like these first time Tollywood on screen pairings, which we’re going to see this year. They look refreshing for a change, they are all a great bunch of actors, and we’re sure they’ll bring some crackling performances to the table. We have earlier also talked about the amazing movies which will be hitting the screens this year. Fresh pairings in Tollywood is something that the audience looks forward to every year.
When it comes to Tollywood films, it is not always content which wins. The chemistry between the movie’s lead pair is equally important for the movie’s success. From Vijay Deverakonda & Mahesh Babu to Kiara Advani & Rashmika Mandanna, Telugu cinema saw several new pairs.
7 Tollywood Duos that we will see on-screen for the first time, which has got us all excited!
1.Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna
Film: Pushpa
Director: Sukumar
This is one pair look absolutely refreshing together, and the casting director has done a commendable job. Pushpa is being released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. However according to reports it has been said that Allu Arjun is playing the role of a lorry driver and Rashmika is featuring as his wife.
2.Ram Charan and Alia Bhatt
Film: RRR
Director: S. S. Rajamouli
After Ram Charan’s Bollywood debut Zangeer, now in RRR we will see Ram Charan cast opposite Bollywood beauty Alia Bhatt. And looking at their skills and talent, I think they will surely rock the screen. We are excited to see how this new pairing will play out on screens.
3.Prabhas and Pooja Hedge
Film: Radhe Shyam
Director: Radha Krishna Kumar
Heartthrobs Prabhas and Pooja Hedge are soon going to be seen in the multilingual film Radhe Shyam. The title and first look of Prabhas’s 20th film was released on 17th July. Don’t they look absolutely stunning together? Director Radha Krishna Kumar also stated that “#RadheShyam isn’t just a romantic movie, it offers something beyong love”.
4.Prabhas and Deepika Padukone
Film: Untitled
Director: Nag Ashwin
I’m sure this is one pairing the whole Indian film industry had been waiting for. Among the top Bollywood and Tollywood stars these days, we’ve seen them all paired against each other. But these two – Deepika and Prabhas, we are yet to see on screen together in Prabha’s 21st film. The shoot starts from April 2021.
5.Jr. NTR and Olivia Morris
Film: RRR
Director: S. S. Rajamouli
Newcomer Olivia Morris is set to make her Tollywood debut with ‘RRR’ and will be seen opposite Jr. NTR in the upcoming period drama. This film consists of a star cast of Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgan and many more.
6.Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh
Film: Sarkaru Vaari Paata
Director: Parasuram
South Indian Film Industries most talented actors Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh are all set to share the screen for the first time ever in Sarkaru Vaari Paata. As per latest rumors Mahesh Babu is going to play dual role as in twins in this film for the time, and I’m sure all of us are in for an absolute treat.
7.Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Pandey
Film: Fighter
Director: Puri Jagannadh
Few months back Karan Johar had announced that Dharma Productions is all set to launch the South Sensation Vijay Deverakonda in a lead role. It has also been revealed that, Ramya Krishnan, and Ronit Roy will also star in the film. This film is being simultaneously shot in Telugu and Hindi.
