Every generation has their set of directors. From KV Reddy, A Kodandarami Reddy, K Raghavendra Rao to SS Rajamouli, everyone in due course of time have churned out and contributed movies to the industry. A myth doing the rounds is that most director’s best work is usually the first few movies because they are more hungry at the start. Well, maybe our expectations exceeded their imaginations later.

All through their tenure of making movies so far, every director has that one movie which stands as the best of their work. Possibly that one movie has set the bar of expectations for us. While some have been constantly working on making better movies every time, these are the movies of each director that stand best till date.

TRIVIKRAM – ATHADU

1

The first 30 mins is enough to give you the feel of watching something gripping. A master piece from Trivikram. Yes, it has been inspired from Shooter. Fine! But, that’s not just done. Every word uttered has some wit attached to it and very sensibly written.

SUKUMAR – ONE NENOKKADINE

4

By the time people actually started to appreciate the movie, it was already making its exit from the screens and somewhere deep within, the fans should be blamed for not receiving the movie at the start giving a false feedback. However, it is now a cult hit and will continue to be one.

SS RAJAMOULI – EEGA

5

Rajamouli is like the ranker in a class. Everytime he delivers, he does it big and to his maximum capability. We can see his constant hard work and growing as a film maker from Student No.1 to Baahubali. And of all Eega stands truely close to everyone’s heart. It was surprising as well as over whelming to see such a movie from our Telugu Cinema. He has constantly been making us proud.

VV VINAYAK

3

A director known for his commercial elements and style of cinema, Vinayak’s Tagore minus those songs was truly gripping and did leave an impact on us after leaving the hall.

SRINU VAITLA – ANANDAM

2

A soothing love story in the hill station and some great feel with the situations that are created. Great music and lovely humour, everything came in a n awesome packed and made us Anandam.

KARUNAKARAN – THOLIPREMA

8

A classic which will remain in the books of Telugu Cinema Lovers FOREVER. The first new age cinema that started a revolution for college romantic movies in Telugu.

PURI JAGANADH – POKIRI

9

Idiot was the movie Puri established himself as a director, but Pokiri was the movie that set the bar with Mahesh Babu enhancing Puri’s character Pandu.

BOYAPATI SEENU – SIMHA

6

He is the care of address for his style of regional action and emotion. With Simha we got to see an all new Balayya.

SHEKAR KAMMULA – LEADER

7

Dealing with a social issue, Shekar dealt an issue in an utmost subtle way and emotion. His Leader was not loud. He was like a common man speaking out our issues and reacting like us.

GUNASHEKAR – OKKADU

15

After a series of revenge dramas that were being constantly running in the industry then, Gunashekar’s Okkadu dealt with scenarios which left us with ‘awwww’s everytime he came to save the girl.

CHANDRASHEKAR YELETI – ANAGANAGA OKA ROJU

11

After giving us Amrutham on TV and a next-to-door adventure like Aithe, Chandrashekar’s Anaganaga Oka Roju was a movie which kept us curious all through the movie. Light humour and everyday Hyderabadi characters made it even engrossing to us.

BHASKAR – BOMMARILLU

12

The best movie which defines a relationship between a father and son, might have possibly solved many guys issues unknowingly too. A gem of a title, Bommarillu and a gem of a movie.

DEVA KATTA – PRASTHANAM

10

Showing our bitter truths in life that we go to any extent when it comes to satisfying our greed and desires that are buried deep within us, Deva Katta’s Prasthanam was a hard hitting and a gripping tale of a son, step-brother and step-dad.

KRISH – VEDAM

161

Krish doesn’t preach in his movies, he soothingly blends in some human values which we would love to pick. Vedam shows how us that somewhere deep within we all are humans and proving yourself at that point could actually define your existence for a lifetime.
