When Reel Life Heroes Turned Real Life Heroes Of Adversity..!!

India is known for giving all its actors a demigod stature. The idol worship here has seen it all from temples being erected for actor/actress to anoint milk on their hoardings for the movie releases. But, are they really worth it all? No, no, this is not a mud slinging article or one where we question your devotion to your favorite actor. This is about how much of a nice person or a role model he/she is.

Here are a few actors that have given their fans a proud moment by giving back to the society that gave them all.

Rajanikanth adopted a father:

BuddhistYes, that’s right. Thalaivar adopted a man called Kalyanasundaram as his father, a librarian. Kalyanasundaram is a social worker from Tamil Nadu who has spent all his life serving orphans and donating his salary (when in service) and his pension now for the cause.

He also donated the 30 crores that was given to him as part of the ‘Man of the Millennium’ award bestowed upon him by an American organization. Rajinikanth adopted Mr. Kalyanasundaram as his father over four years ago. Well, that proves that he is indeed the leader or the Thalaivar in the true sense.

Mahesh Babu:

Following the path of his role in the movie Srimanthudu Mahesh Babu adopted a village. Similar to his character in the movie that tries to trace back his ancestral roots and adopts his paternal village, Mahesh Babu has adopted the village called Burripalem, which is his father and superstar Krishna Gatamaneni’s native. That’s what we call getting into the skin of the character.

Nana Patekar:

The antagonist in most movies who is commended for his flawless acting skills is a protagonist in real life. While most celebrities prefer to serve the world in the presence of paparazzi, he is one who likes to keep it down to earth like his acting. Nana Patekar has been donating money to the widows of farmers who committed suicide in Maharashtra. He has done this for around a year now, i.e., since last September and has been helping farmers financially using the NGO that he co-runs as a medium.

Siddharth:

Proving to the world that he can steal hearts, not just with his cute looks, but also with his utmost dedication to save mankind in the time of need, this real-life hero put in all that he had to stake to help people during the Chennai deluge. The Rang-de-basanti star is now indeed a real-life inspiration for many.

Akshay Kumar:

Khiladi Kumar puts his skills to best use by opening up free martial arts classes for women. Indeed the need of the hour, considering the fact that there are so many atrocities against women every day. Well, that’s not all, he is also offering financial assistance to the families of farmers that committed suicide in the recent draught hit parts of Marathwada. That’s indeed some heroism that we all need to be inspired from.

Note: All the stunts of these stars were not performed under media galore, and you can feel free to try

them too. 😉
