So, if you are a diehard Tamil movie buff and an Aishwarya Rai fan, then here is a list of some of her movies which you definitely can’t miss.

Iruvar

Iruvar

Directed by Mani Ratnam and boasting of an ensemble cast, this movie marked Aishwarya Rai’s debut into the world of cinema. Believed to be inspired from the lives of yesteryear actors and political honchos, Karunanidhi and MGR, this film saw her rubbing shoulders with stalwarts like Mohanlal, Prakash Raj, Gouthami etc. She mesmerized everyone with her beauty and her electrifying performance in a double role.

Kandukondain Kandukondain

This highly acclaimed movie with a multi-star cast and amazing music was directed by renowned film maker, Gautham Menon. In spite of stars like Ajith, Tabu, Mammootty, Abbas in the movie, Aishwarya Rai held her forte and played her role of a woman in love with a much older man, to the tee.

Jeans

Handiwork of ace director Shankar, this movie truly panned in on the beauty of Aishwarya Rai, leaving the audience mesmerized and awestruck. In spite of Prasanth playing a double role in and other established actors like Nasser, Lakshmi and Radhika being a part of the movie, it was Miss World with whom the audience fell in love. With foot tapping music by A.R. Rahman and interesting story line, this film went on to be a block buster.

Raavanan

Another master piece by Mani Ratnam, this film portrayed Aishwarya Rai as the wife of a cop who is kidnapped by a Naxalite and falls in love with her. With Chiyaan Vikram and Prithviraj as the male leads, Aishwarya played the character of the victim with complete conviction and wowed the critics and her fans alike.

Enthiran

In this sci-fi movie which was directed by Shankar, Aishwarya was paired opposite Superstar Rajnikant who played a double role in the film. She played the love interest of a scientist who creates a Robot which apparently falls in love with her. The audience especially applauded the scenes where she was seen with Chitti, the robot. Of course, her enticing good looks too worked wonders for the movie.

Guru

Directed by Mani Ratnam, this was a Hindi movie which was later dubbed into Tamil. Playing the role of wife of an overambitious man, her chemistry with her co-star Abhishek Bachchan set the screen ablaze. Her performance as the balanced wife did not go unnoticed.

Aishwarya married her Guru co-star Abhishek Bachchan and went on a hiatus, when she gave birth to her daughter Aaradhya. She has resumed acting in Hindi films. Here’s hoping that she soon makes her foray into Kollywood too for the sake of her fans.
