Watch: How To Make KFC Style Crispy Chicken Burger!

Which day of lockdown is it?
Honestly, we cannot remember either. And, how long has it been since we went out to eat our favourite foods at our favourite fast-food joints? Well, let us not get there as we might just end up crying thinking about it.

While we are under lockdown, (which is ofcourse for greater good) there is no restriction on what to eat at our homes, right? And, while we suggest healthy eating is the key to life and we need to eat foods that will boost our immunity system, there is no wrong in having a cheat-day once a while, right?

So, if you are craving for that KFC style burger, then go ahead and make it one at home. You do not need several ingredients for it. It is simple and fun to make.


For Marination

  • Chicken Breast
  • 1 tbsp Soya sauce
  • 1 tbsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp Red chilly powder
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Water

For Preparation:

  • 1 cup Maida flour
  • 1 cup Corn flour
  • 1 tbsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Red Chilly powder
  • 1 tbsp Pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • ¼ cup Milk

For Filling/sauce:

  • 3 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Red chilly sauce
  • Lettuce
  • Onions


Firstly, take roti stick/wooden belan and smoothen the chicken breast by placing it on top of a blotting paper/transparent sheet. (You can also cut open a plastic cover and use it.)

Now, to prepare the marination mixture, take soya sauce, garlic powder, pepper powder, red chilly powder, salt and water. Give it a nice mix. Marinate the chicken in this mixture and allow it to rest for an hour.


Take maida flour, corn flour, garlic powder, red chilly powder, pepper powder, salt in a bowl and give it a nice mix.

In another vessel, take egg, milk and whisk them together nicely.


To make a KFC style crispy burger, you need to fry the chicken breast. For that, dip the marinated chicken in the flour mixture and coat it nicely on both the sides of the chicken. Dip this in the egg and coat the egg nicely on the chicken on both the sides. Again, dip it even the flour mixture and coat it evenly on both the sides.

Take a pan and fry the chicken till it turns golden brown in colour on both the sides.

Now to make your sauce for the burger, take mayo, tomato ketchup, red chilly sauce and mix them well.

Take two buns and coat it with this sauce. (You can also roast the buns before coating it with the sauce.) Place chicken on top of one of the buns, lettuce on top of the chicken and onions as the final layer. Now place the other bun on top of the onion layer.

Your KFC style Chicken Burger is now ready to be served. (Drools!)
