Royyala Kura or Prawns Curry is a delicious and easy recipe that is loved across the nation. Seafood has distinct flavours and textures. While most people believe that it is hard to work with those flavours or that you cannot play around with, it is not entirely true. Prawns are super versatile and are also very easy to cook. So here’s a simple Andhra style Prawns Curry recipe.

  • Coriander Powder
  • Jeera Powder
  • Garam Masala
  • Ginger-Garlic Paste
  • Jeera Seeds

1.Firstly, you need to marinate the prawns. To marinate the prawns, take 300gms of Prawns, salt, ½ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp red chilli powder and 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

2.Take a pan and cook the prawns for 5 minutes covered.

3.Again, take a pan, heat some oil and add 1 tsp jeera seeds. Once the seeds start to crackle, add chopped onions, slit green chillies, ½ tsp turmeric powder, salt and mix it well.

4.Now, add 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste, chopped tomatoes, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp garam masala and 1 tsp red chilli powder. Mix it till the masalas are seeped into the curry. Add some water to it and cook it covered for 4 minutes.

5.To this, add prawns and cook it covered for at least 5 minutes.

6.Finally, garnish it with coriander leaves and serve it with hot rice.
