1.Mirchi Bajji

Mirchi bajji is a popular street food made with green chillies. If you are a lover of some spice and heat, you ought to try this recipe. Super fun to make, this is a perfect evening time munching food.

1 Best Tea Time SnacksIngredients:

  • Green Chillies
  • Carom Seeds
  • Tamarind Pulp
  • 1 cup Gram Flour
  • 2 tsp Rice Flour
  • Salt (As per taste)
  • ¼ tsp Baking Soda
  • Oil
  • Water

Procedure:

•Firstly, take green chillies, slit them in the center and take its pulp off. To make its filling, take carom seeds and mix it with tamarind pulp. Generously, fill your slit chillies with this mixture and keep it aside.

•To prepare the flour mixture, take gram flour, rice flour, salt, baking soda and mix all it well. Then, add carom seeds, oil and water. Mix it well, till it forms a thick paste.

•Take a pan and heat some oil. Dip the chillies in the flour mixture and coat them well. Gently release them into oil and fry it till they turn golden brown on all the sides.

•Your Mirchi Bajji is now ready to be served hot.

2.Aritikaaya Bajji

Often, considered as one of the healthiest munching options, Aritikaaya Bajji is loaded with flavours. Made with raw bananas, everyone is fond of these munchies. Serve them hot with a chutney or sauce and can’t just stop at one.

  • Raw Bananas
  • ½ cup Gram Flour
  • 2 tsp Rice Flour
  • 1 tsp Red Chilly Powder
  • Salt (As per taste)
  • 1 tsp Jeera Powder
  • ¼ tsp Baking Soda
  • Water

Procedure:

•Thinly slice the raw bananas and keep them aside in a bowl of water.

•To make the flour mixture, take gram flour, rice flour, red chilly powder, salt and mix it well. Then add some water, baking soda and make it into a thick, fine paste.

•Take a pan and heat some oil. Dip the bananas into the flour mixture and then gently release it into the oil.

•Fry them till they turn golden brown on both the sides.

•Your Aritikaaya Bajji is now ready to be served hot.
