An Opportunity Has Come With Wings Via “Vacchindi Kada Avakasam”

‘Brahmotsavam’s’ first song “Vacchindi Kada Avakasam” is out. The mood of “Vacchindi Kada Avakasam” is similar to the title of Srikanth Addala’s latest film. The song is a grand celebration. Mahesh Babu calls out to the members of his on-screen family and dives into a praise and prose filled song.

Srikanth is the man who brought Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu together for his second film. He’s coming back with the biggest Telugu film of the year. It’s the biggest because of the cast and crew members and the level of expectations people have on the film.

“Vacchindi Kada Avakasam” is a fun family-friendly song. It reminds me of all the pleasant moments I was a part of. Mickey J Meyer’s music provides the right amount of smiles. Mahesh Babu, Pranitha Subhash, Jayasudha, Revathi, Sathyaraj, Tanikella Bharani, Naresh, Sayaji Shinde, and Tulasi are seen in the YouTube video. Isn’t it a big fat family?

The song’s highlight is its ability to get most of the cast members under one roof. The hilarious part appears in the beginning itself. Oh, it was also seen in the first teaser. Why do a bunch of people running toward the camera seem funny? While Pranitha does it like an angel in a fantasy film, Sayaji Shinde’s expression is of a 90s villain. Jayasudha and Revathi thankfully don’t look tired whereas Naresh looks like he’s just won a relay race. Mahesh has found a magic potion to stop time from catching up. Look at him! His face is full of glee.

Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry’s words have a tingling effect. The lines have a motivational factor; this is not another “Jaago” (‘Srimanthudu’), though, as there’s no need for the hero to rise from the ashes. I think Sastry wrote, “ABCD Chaalandi… Anybody Can Dance Andi”, for its rhyming quality. It may have a real purpose, too. The family members may shake an extra leg listening to “Anybody Can Dance Andi”. The line is a winner both ways.

Mahesh has been seen jovially dancing and casually relaxing in the posters with Samantha and Kajal. Who’s he going to fall in love with? The times of ‘Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu’ have gone. We don’t usually have two women falling for a man in a mainstream film nowadays. Of course, Balakrishna is an exception. Ladies fight for Balayya’s attention in films. He must be some sort of a magnet. He attracts young and vivacious women and even dances with them. I hope ‘Brahmotsavam’ doesn’t fall into the ‘Brindavanam’ category either. Srikanth doesn’t come from the school of allowing the hero have his way with the heroines. We’ll see what he does later this month.
