Hadimba Temple, Manali

Hadimba Temple

Hadimba Temple is located in Manali, it’s an ancient cave temple made in the memory of Hidimba, the wife of Bhima, one of the five Pandava prince from the great Indian epic Mahabharata. The main attraction of the temple is the three-day Hidimba Devi Festival, which attracts devotees from all over the world and features colourful folk dance performances.The temple is surrounded by a cedar forest called Dhungiri Van Vihar at the foot of the Himālayas. The templewas built over a huge rock jutting out of the ground which was worshiped as an image of the deity.

Manali

Manali is a town located in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh near the end of Kullu Valley, it’s a small town with a population of over 8,000 people. It is a famous tourist spot as it serves as the gateway to Lahaul and Spiti district as well as Leh. Manali is located at an altitude of 6726 feet, it is known for its breathtaking views and snow-capped mountains, there are a number of adventure sports present for you to do.

Key Monastery

Key Monasyery, also known as Kye Gompa, is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery located on top of a hill at an altitude of 4,166 metres, close to the Spiti River, in the Spiti Valley of Himachal Pradesh, Lahaul and Spiti district, India.It is the biggest and oldest monastery of Spiti Valley and a religious training centre for Lamas. It reportedly had 100 monks in 1855. It enshrines idols of Buddha in Dhyana position and also has a collection of ancient books and murals.

Dharmashala

Dharmashala is covered by snow clad mountains on three sides and valley on one side, the altitude of mountains is over 4000 meters, making them a joy to look at. Tibetans refugees still live here and you can observe their culture, it is a famous tourist spot as people come from all over the world to learn about the Tibetan culture and traditons.

Kullu Valley

Kullu is one of the most visited tourist locations, it is often called as Valley of Gods, it is located on the banks of the Beas River in the Kullu Valley, the kullu valley is located in between the lower Himalayan and great Himalayan ranges. This place is known for its temples and its hills covered with pine and deodar forest and sprawling apple orchards.

Kalka Shimla Railway

The Kalka–Shimla railway is a 2 ft 6 in (762 mm) narrow-gauge railway in North India which traverses a mostly-mountainous route from Kalka to Shimla. It is known for dramatic views of the hills and surrounding villages. The railway was built under the direction of Herbert SeptimusHarington between 1898 and 1903 to connect Shimla, the summer capital of India during the British Raj, with the rest of the Indian rail system.This route is one of the most picturesque train routes in the world and it passes through more than a hundred tunnels It is a narrow-gauge train route.

Chokling Monastery, Bir

This is one of the most popular monasteries in Bir and houses a grand and huge stupa as well as an enthralling statue of Padmasambhava. This monastery is located in the Bir Tibetan colony.It was built by NetenChokling Pema Gyurme.

Kangra Fort

The Kangra Fort is located 20 kilometers from the town of Dharamsala on the outskirts of the town of Kangra. It is known as the land of ancient Trigarta, occupying the lower valley of the Beas and its tributaries, was in ancient times, one of the leading hill stations of Punjab and Himachal. There have been numerous people claiming to have held the ownership of the Fort, it has got quite some history in its account. With many years of Mughal ownership and at the last being ruled by an Indian emperor, this place is a must-visit for any history enthusiast.

Mandi

As a tourist spot, Mandi is often referred to as “Varanasi of Hills” or “Choti Kashi” or “Kashi of Himachal”. Also, Mandi is the starting point for a trek of the region, Prashar lake trek. From Mandi, trekkers go to Bagi village, which serves as the base village for Prashar lake.Packed with a thick green cover of pine and deodar trees, and with sprawling tea plantations, the town of Mandi is situated at the junction of Kulu and Dharamshala and is must go place.

Kuthar Fort, Solan

The Kuthar Fort is said to be 800 years old, making it the ioldest fort in Solan, the fort has a number of fresh water springs, the fort is covered with beautiful gardens and there are a number of ancient temples surrounding it. Kuthar Fort was once served as the residence of royal family of Kuthur, the fort is full of Rajasthani architecture, and n the interiors, you will find intricate wooden carvings and fine paintings, which are simply awe-inspiring.
