The Telangana government has been taking commendable steps showing progress in every sector of its functions. After its recent confirmation on the formation of a Cabinet sub-committee for the development of the film industry in Telangana, the government is taking up another initiative which will be a big sigh of relief especially for small films. This is definitely good news for the movies lovers out there too.
The committee has confirmed to increase existing number of shows for single screen theatres from four to five. The committee has identified 450 screens across the state and the evening 4PM show will be allotted to small budget movies.
This has come as a big relief for small movies and creators who want to try some offbeat stuff. Another major relief to the film makers is the ‘single window permission’ for shooting at all government parks, roads, highways and properties. The meeting which was attended by Dasari Narayana Rao, Tammareddy Bharadwaja, Tummala Nageswara Rao, KT Rama Rao and others have decided to provide the system through which permission would be attained in just 48 hours without having to roaming from one department to other unnecessarily.
The Telangana government has also decided to give Telangana Awards like the ‘Nandi Awards’.
Now this is a major boost for the film industry on a whole!
