Two Strawberry Recipes To Enjoy Winter Better

Well, the strawberries have been growing fresh and ripe now. With these fresh berries coming into the market and right into our homes to serve us with some good quality Vitamin C and anti-oxidants. Here are two tasty recipes you have to make with Strawberries in the comfort of your home.

Strawberry Jelly :

Don’t jellies wake up the kid in us and want to chew right into it? Well, here is a recipe to make fresh jellies! Read on!

Ingredients:

  1. 250 g of finely chopped strawberries
  2. 1 cup of sugar
  3. ¼ cup of cornflour
  4. 2 cups of water
  5. Shredded coconut powder

Procedure:

With the finely chopped strawberries, make a paste from them by grinding them using a mixer. Now strain the puree into a mixing bowl.

To this bowl add sugar and cornflour and whisk it all together to avoid any clumps. Add 2 cups of water, mix them well, and set aside.

Finally, pour the mixture once it achieves a jelly-like consistency into a mold. Tap the same to remove any air/bubbles. Put the same in the fridge till it cools down. Once it is ready to be eaten serve it by dipping these into shredded coconut powder.

Now, the fresh and tasty strawberry jelly is ready to be eaten!

Strawberry Jam:

The joy of making and eating homemade jam is immense and here we are with a yummy strawberry jam recipe.

Ingredients:

  1. 400g finely chopped strawberries
  2. ¾ cup of sugar
  3. Lemon
  4. That is literally it! You do not need more!

Procedure:

In a big bowl mix the chopped strawberries and the sugar thoroughly and set aside. Now, take the lemon and scarp out a little bit of the peel to make lemon zest and put it aside. Now squeeze the lemon into the mixing bowl and mix them all together.

Next, take a pan on medium flame and add the mixture. Keep your eye on the jam while mixing it to ensure the consistency is appropriate and of your choice.

Finally, store it all in a glass jar while still warm and enjoy it for two months by preserving it in the fridge.
