Here Is Everything About The 63rd Filmfare South Awards 2016

The Hyderabad’s HICC was the venue to the 63rd Filmfare South Awards 2016 with the needed load of glamour and stars in attendance. It was a gala affair that gave away awards to the best performances for movies in 2015. As expected Bahubali was the biggest winner grabbing the most awards and Mahesh Babu winning his 5th Filmfare Award in the Best Actor category for the movie Srimanthudu. 

With the biggest of the stars from Mammootty, Chiranjeevi, Rahman to the younger lot Allu Arjun, Rana Daggubati, Arya, Ram Charan, the awards event was totally a party.

In Telugu, S.S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali received five awards, while Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu won three awards. Gunasekar-directed period drama Rudhramadevi and National award-winning romantic war-drama Kanche won two awards each.

In Tamil, Vikram’s I scored four awards, while Jayam Ravi’s Thani Oruvana and Dhanush’s Thangamagan received two awards each. Vignesh Shivan-directed Naanum Rowdydhaan and critically-acclaimed Kaaka Muttai won an award each.

It was Malayalam’s R.S. Vimal-directed Ennu Ninte Moideen that grabbed the most awards for a film at seven awards including the Best Director. Mammootty’s Pathemari scored two awards which included Best Actor and Best Film. The critically acclaimed Premam managed just one award to Vijay Yesudas for Best Playback Singer (Male) for the song Malare Ninne.

In Kannada, Anup Bhandari-directed Rangi Taranga received four awards. While the Puneeth Rajkumar received Best Actor for Rana Vikrama 

Collection King Mohan Babu was honoured with The Lifetime Achievement Award
