Fitoor (Passion) is an upcoming Indian romantic drama film directed by Abhishek Kapoor and produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Disney. It is based on Charles Dickens’ novel Great Expectations. The film features Aditya Roy Kapur, Katrina Kaif and Tabu in leading roles.
A Great Book leads to a Great Movie!
Great Expectations is Charles Dickens’s thirteenth novel and his penultimate completed novel. The widely acclaimed classic depicts the personal growth and artistic development of an orphan nicknamed Pip ( To be played by Aditya Roy Kapur ) . The novel includes , the eccentric Miss Havisham ( To be played by Tabu ), the beautiful but cold Estella ( To be played by Katrina Kaif ) as the women who inspire and destroy Pip through his journey
A few cards up the sleeve
Though he hasn’t been shown in the trailers, yet, Ajay Devgn has been confirmed to play the role of Aditya Roy Kapur’s mentor in the film. Also joining Ajay Devgn in the under wrap billed cast, would be Aditi Rao Hydari as well. Her role remains still any one’s guess.

Katrina Kaif’s red hair has been a source of envy ever since the gorgeous actress debuted them on the red carpet last year. The Phantom actress got her mane coloured for her upcoming movie Fitoor opposite Aditya Roy Kapur. According to a report on MissMalini, the makers reportedly had to shell out a whopping sum of Rs 55 lakhs for Kat’s mane. The report states that apparently Katrina couldn’t find any local professional who could give her mane the desired shade of red for the character. So, she ended up recruiting a London-based hair colouring expert.
Miss Havisham got replaced!!
Two days after the film’s shoot was completed, Rekha bowed out of Fitoor, after viewing the final rushes, reported Mumbai Mirror. Rekha, who was to play the Indian version of the lovelorn eccentric Miss Havisham in Fitoor, was displeased with the final rushes of her parts in the film and cited that she wouldn’t be able to give it her best.
As Fitoor-nate as it gets
According to a source, “The film has an intense kissing scene between Katrina and Aditya. The kissing scene is almost three minutes long. It has been shot extremely aesthetically.” The lip lock scene is in one of the songs in the film, and was shot in the presence of very few people.
A Sultan In Need!
Salman’s close friend Katrina Kaif has sought Salman’s advice over the content of her new film Fitoor. Says a source in the know, “Fitoor is Katrina’s first film in 2016. It’s also a film that is meant to consolidate her career after the recent upheavals in her life. And Salman is there to help her get over this difficult period.”
Pashmina as it takes..!!
For the song Pashmina both the actors have worked really hard, the actress said they gave up their Christmas and New Year holidays to focus on this particular song, that is why is it nothing less of perfection. They even broke some bones and had a few injuries while they were busy practicing for this beautiful track. Although Katrina got injured during the shooting of this song, her dance moves are too real to be judged

Principal photography of the film began in Kashmir in November 2014.The film is scheduled for release on 12 February 2016.
