Actor Sanjay Dutt is all set to walk out a free man on February 27, as his charges in the Mumbai serial blasts case have been remitted, according to a report in the Times of India.
Sanjay Dutt is on the verge of completing his sentence of 42 months, and is housed in Yeravada Central Jail, where he has been declared as a ‘well-behaved inmate’. Sanjay Dutt was charged with possession of firearms during the Mumbai serial blasts in 1993, following the Babri Masjid demolition.
The actor has been in the news in the last few years as his bails were questioned by sections of the media. However, Sanjay Dutt is set to complete his sentence, which was originally for five years, as he had already served eight months as an undertrial.
Dutt’s movie career has been in the doldrums in the last few years, with no major releases since Son of Sardar. It was reported that the actor has signed a few films and will complete his commitment to them once he has served his sentence.
