- IIT Madras
Indian Institute of Technology Madras is a public technical institution that is located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is referred to as IITM or IIT Madras. It has been selected as one of India’s eight Institutes of Eminence. It is acknowledged as an institution of national importance and is one of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
It was the third Indian Institute of Technology to be formed by the Indian government, and it was founded in 1959 with technical and financial support from the former West German government. Since its establishment in 2016, the National Institutional Ranking Framework of the Ministry of Education has placed IIT Madras as India’s top engineering institution. With a score of 90.04, IIT Madras achieved the top rank in the National Institution Ranking Framework.

5. Loyola-ICAM College of Engineering and Technology
Loyola-ICAM College of Engineering and Technology (LICET), operated by the Society of Jesus in Chennai, India, is a private Catholic institution for engineering and technology. It is accredited by AICTE and associated with Chennai’s Anna University.
