After a historic entry into the Olympics badminton finals, Sindhu emerged as a Silver medalist giving a tough fight back to the world no. 1 Carolina Marin. Though Sindhu won the first set with 19-21, the next two games got tough with Carolina dominating the lesser experienced Sindhu. While the loss didn’t matter much to the whole nation, her Silver medal itself brought alot joy to everyone.
