The center has issued the list of Bank Holidays, 2022 with nearly 17 Gazetted Holidays and 30 Restricted Holidays. Besides these, the country observes three National Holidays – Republic Day, Independence Day, and Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti.
The Bank Holidays are generally listed by the State Government, Central Government, and the Union Territories under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
