But one girl from Hyderabad, who is struggling hard and trying to create a strong impact on people with her work. She is none other than Radio Mirchi RJ Prathyusha Parakala. She is the only girl from Telugu states, selected to be part of the Climate Force: Antarctica (CFA) expedition 2018, which is going to happen in February 2018. It is a 13-day programme and she is one among few from all over India. A time lo she got a chance to be part of that team, but to teach the kids, she didn’t take part in it. Now, after these years, she again applied for the expedition and got selected out of thousands of applications across the world. When asked about her experience, she says, “I love traveling and been part of many awareness programmes related to climate change. Now finally, I got a chance to be part of Robert’s team, after a lengthy process with many interviews and I am much excited.”
About her future plans, Prathyusha says, “Once I come back from the Antarctica expedition, I am planning to create awareness among schools and colleges.” Konni schools or colleges tho tie-up ayyi, she wants to make a year-long programme for them and corporate sponsors help tho Prathyusha tanu society lo oka change tesukuravalanukuntundi.
To be part of this expedition, each one of team needs Rs. 15 lakhs. Ivi not for luxury touring but for their basic living for these 13 days. Crowdfunding dwara so far she collected Rs. 2 lakhs, but yet to get Rs. 13 lakhs to complete her dream to be part of the great expedition and can educate people after coming back.
