Telangana Government Recently Launched Disaster Response Force (DRF) To Tackle Disasters In Twin Cities

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and Telangana Government together initiated so many needy and useful programmes like planting saplings, CCTV installations and WiFi enabled bus shelters so far. Now they came up with other initiative called ‘Disaster Response Force’.

The DRF team members were trained for two months in handling axes, fire extinguishers and other equipment and the procedure to be followed during rescue and relief operations. The teams will use eight vehicles and 11 different types of equipment like rope ladders and fire extinguishers.

DRF team has been set up by the “Enforcement Vigilance and Disaster Management’ (EVDM) of the civic body.
