After a forgettable disaster against RCB in their opening match, Sunrisers rode away with tough luck on Saturday. But Monday was the day to be, as Sunrisers opened their tally by bagging their first win of the season by beating Mumbai Indians at their home ground, Hyderabad. Sunrisers clinically kept the match under control from the word go, and never let loose.
After winning the crucial toss David Warner chose to field first raging MI. Infusing mighty man Martin Guptill into their side Mumbai Indians looked dangerous before the start but that got nullified pretty quickly as they steadily kept loosing wickets. Guptill, Rohit and Jos Butler fell cheaply and andhra boy Rayudu kept the scoreboard ticking with fine shots all over the ground with a composed 54 (49). Uncapped player Krunal Pandya (brother of Hardik Pandya) fought until the last ball with a fine play of 49*(28) along with Harbhajan rotating the strike to bring up a decent Score of 142 with lost of 6 wickets in their 20 overs

Batting next Sunrisers lost Dhawan’s wicket early as has been the routine, but thankfully for SRH, David Warner fought until last, making a crucial partnership with his Ausie man Moises Henriques and Eoin morgan chased down the target with ease. Warner ensured the game was in the bag by hitting the ball hard at a strike rate of 152.54 making 90*(59) with 7 fours and 4 Sixes in his monstrous Innings…!!!
