The league that made rich people richer is in deep trouble. Indian Premier League – IPL – was recently detected with malpractices by two franchise owners. One of them was the owner of Rajasthan Royals franchise – Mr. Raj Kundra.
A Supreme Court appointed panel has found Mr. Raj Kundra guilty of betting and announced a lifelong ban from 14th July, 2015. Raj Kundra is already in the public eye thanks to his superstar wife Mrs. Shilpa Shetty Kundra and hence zeroing down on another business/career option shouldn’t be difficult. Here are a few ventures we would like Raj Kundra to take up next following the life ban:
- PARTICIPATE IN JHALAK DIKHLAJA :
Over the years we have seen cricket personalities try their hand at dancing in a bid to stay in the limelight. Cricketers like S.Shreeshant, Srikanth shook a leg in Jhalak Dikhlaja over the years. If Mr. Kundra wants to stay in the public view and gain some sympathy by pleading not guilty, there isn’t a better place to do that than the primetime stage of Jhalak Dikhlaja. Hope you are listening, Raj!
2. PRODUCE MOVIES:
Being married to a Bollywood superstar and being filthy rich has its own advantages. Why not utilize them? Raj Kundra can start producing movies and help his wife make a comeback. Moreover, he can re-launch his sister-in-law, Shamita Shetty. All the best with that though! 😀
3. START A BETTING COMPANY:
No, wait!! Betting is illegal in India! But Mr. Raj Kundra is a citizen of the United Kingdom. With his recent experiences in betting, he can start a betting company in UK to bet on IPL games. A smart man is the one who puts his experience to good use. Like Joker says, ‘If you’re good at something, never do it for free’.
4. GET INTO REAL ESTATE:
Raj Kundra is already associated with Groupco Developers, a real estate firm that operates in eight Indian cities. Apart from that, he also has interests in sports, entertainment, and steel, though a lot of these are known to be shady. With a lot of free time on his hands after the ban, it’s time to expand that business and put in time & efforts in the real estate world.
5. WRITE A BOOK ON IPL AND BCCI:
Pen is mightier than sword. The best way to plead your innocence is writing a book on the League and unravel all the wrong doings of others to cover up your follies. This could have dual benefits for him – lots of moolah from the sales of the book and his side of the story will reach the general public. As it is, the kind of books being published today are hardly what you’d call classic literature.
6. PURCHASE AN ISL TEAM

The Indian Soccer League – ISL – has been instrumental in making football popular in India. The format is similar to Indian Premiere League – IPL. On several occasions, Raj Kundra is seen playing football in charity matches. Wouldn’t this be a natural progression for him?
7. START A SPORTS BAR CHAIN:
There is probably nothing money cannot buy. After the life ban, if Raj Kundra wants to still be in touch with the game of cricket he can open up a sports bar chain. Money will flow and LIVE screenings of IPL & ISL matches will keep him happy too! 😛
