Even after two and a half weeks of its release, ‘Baahubali – The Conclusion’ is still running full house and has been booked almost full for the weekend. Giving nightmares to other biggies in the industry all over India and outside the country, it bought fortunes to the buyers and full satisfaction to the audience. It gave a lot of hope to the makers who want to experiment big with the content they want to broadcast.

Released with a lot of hype, ‘Baahubali – The Conclusion’ has created tremors with its visual extravaganza. Made with a small amount of budget in comparison to the amount Hollywood spend on the visual grandeurs, this movie has broken several records. Let’s look into some of the records, this film has into its kitty.

1. Highest Occupancy Rate:Released over 8000 theatres worldwide, this movie has seen highest occupancy rate for any Indian movie ever. With 96 percentage occupancy rate for the first weekend and still running full, it has gone huge. Previously it was Shah Rukh Khan Starrer ‘Raees’ which had 70% occupancy rate. According to BookMyShow CEO Ashish Hemrajani, it had a ticket sale rate of 1 ticket per 12 seconds and had around 3.5 million tickets sold for the opening weekend with over 1 million tickets on day 1 which broke all the records for booking till now.

2. Highest Trailer Views on YouTube:YouTube India had more content and viewership from northern part of country for a long time, had several million views on the big Bollywood movie trailers released. But they first got their set back from Thalaivaa Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabaali’ with 33 Million views, followed by the first part of the magnum opus ‘Baahubali – The Beginning’ Telugu trailer with 28 Million Views. But they all fell back with a huge gap with the trailer ‘Baahubali – The Conclusion’. The movie has got over 100 Million views in 4 languages combined which cannot be touched in the near future.

3. Highest Premier Show collections in U.SA:‘Baahubali – The Conclusion’ has created a new record in America with just the preview shoe collections. It has earned 2.5 Million Dollars only with the premier shows across U.S.A over a 100 theatres. This premiere collections have crossed its competitor Hollywood releases like ‘Fate and the Furious’, ‘Boss Baby’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’, etc. Overall the movie collected around a 100 crores in America alone. What baffled the Hollywood movie makers and Indian audience was that the film reached their making standards which is a benchmark for the viewers in less than 30% of their budget! The answer, Vision and Confidence my friends. Those made this blockbuster happen.

4. Pre and Post Production:Around 5 years of making, 1 year of pre-production, over Rs.450 crore (40 million) budget, 35 studios and above 800 artists worked on the vfx and post production, around 5000 vfx shots, Rs.500 crore pre-release business, around 2000 stuntmen and artists, costliest climax sequence ever made in Indian films, just the making of this film itself has created unbelievable records. Thus we can watch the hard work has reflected in this magnum opus.

5. The Collections:By the time, we finish writing this and you finish reading this, the film would have collected a crore rupees more. Over a 1000 crore gross collections within 9 days of release, this movie has a net collection of 620 crore rupees, highest for any Indian film ever. The day one collection was above Rs.125 crores the fastest ever movie in India, with Rs.53 crore collection in Telugu, Rs.41 crore collection in Hindi, which is higher than any Hindi film collection on day one. In USA, the opening week collection was over Rs.65 crore and stood just below Fast and Furious 8. Over the first weekend, the movie collected Rs.395 crore in India and over 19 million dollars overseas. Just with the advance booking, the movie collected around Rs.36 crore. IMAX noted that Baahubali 2 grossed Rs 14.77 crore in its opening weekend from 66 IMAX theatres which includes theatres in India, North America, Australia, Middle East and Africa. The ten IMAX theatres in India collected Rs 2.14 crore.Still running to packed houses, it’s entirely possible that Baahubali 2 will turn out to be the highest-grossing Indian film of all time.
