Shraddha is a half Maharashtrian as her father Shakti Kapoor is a Punjabi guy and her mother Shivangi is a Maharashtrian and Shraddha is of predominantly Marathi ancestry. Kapoor’s family members, including her father Shakti Kapoor and mother Shivangi Kapoor, her elder brother Siddhanth Kapoor, her two aunts Padmini Kolhapure and Tejaswini Kolhapure are actors in films.
Shraddha Kapoor contrary to the popular belief ( yeah ! Not Aashiqui 2 or Love Ka The End ) made her début with Amitabh Bachchan in Teen Patti. It was however after Aashiqui 2 that she truly became a raging star in the country.
Shraddha Kapoor had also been selected to play the titular role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s My Friend Pinto. However after Teen Patti received poor response, Shraddha was replaced with Kalki Koechlin. Thankfully for us, she got the role of Arohi not much later. And the rest is history.
