- Telangana Govt Announced The 125 Ft Tall Statue of ‘Father Of The Constitution’ Dr. BR Ambedkar In December 2022, with a deadline of April 14th, 2023 on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanthi.
2. TS Govt assigned 11.5 Acres of land at Prasads Imax Circle near PVNR Marg(Necklace Road) for the construction of this statue
3. Famous architects and sculptors Ram V Sutar and Anil Sutar have been roped in for this mega project who previously worked for Sardar Vallabhai Patel’s ‘Statue Of Unity’.
4. This Bronze coated Statue is made up of stone imported from Agra, Jaipur, and Noida. A Total of 150+ Tonnes of Steel and 100+ Tonnes Of Bronze have been used for the construction.
5. This Statue will be seen in Dr. Ambedkar’s popular and familiar posture with his right hand pointing towards the upside and left hand with the book of the Indian Constitution.
6. The space beneath the statue will have a 50 Ft Memorial Museum with a Library for visitors, which will make the whole structure 175 feet
7. This Ambedkar Statue is the Tallest In India so far, and the special polyurethane paint will keep it shining for 2 to 3 decades.
8. A total of 35,000+ people from all 119 Constituencies in Telangana are expected to attend the Grand Inaugural Ceremony & the state government has arranged more than 750+ TSRTC Buses exclusively for the inaugural ceremony
9. Telangana State chief minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao will be inaugurating this statue which will be followed by his speech
10. A total of 1 Lakh sweets & 1.5 Lakh buttermilk packets will be distributed to the people attending this grand event.
