Bahubali continued it’s magnificence of cinematic journey as it went on to win ” Best Film” at National Awards 2016. The magnum opus directed by S.S.Rajamouli became the first Telugu film to have won the prestigious award, continuing it’s dream run and upping the anticipation for it’s sequel coming out next year.
Apart from this, Kangana Ranaut won for her dual act in ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’, deservingly so.
Amitabh Bachchan went on to win his second Best Actor for his grumpy old man role in ‘Piku’.
Another historical fantasy movie ‘Bajirao Mastani’ got it’s director Sanjay Leela Bhansali his Best Director award.
