Hyderabad has brisked up and has started to make a path for itself to be known as a ‘Global City’. While we are carried away with our daily routines, the city too is also working constantly towards making itself a better place to for us to live in. With the Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) reveling pictures of Uppal Metro Railway Station, it is really pacifying!!
Watching our city growing with such structures does make this 400 years old city feel all young and happening.

1. Metro Rail Landscaping and Beautification works.
Leaving no stones behind, it is making way for the best world-class metro experience.
2. Current Status:
The Metro Rail stage-1 from Nagole to Secunderabad railway station (about 9 km) under Corridor-III and stage-2 from Miyapur to SR Nagar (11.9 km) under Corridor-I would be made operational for passenger services by December 2015 or early next year.
3. Achievements
Even before the completion of this project it is the winner of ‘The Global Engineering Projects of the year 2013’
4. CBTC Technology
It will be operated on Communications Based Train Control (CBTC) Technology. By means of the CBTC systems, the exact position of a train is known more accurately than with the traditional signaling systems. This results in a more efficient and safe way to manage the railway traffic.
5. Public-Private Partnership
The HMR project is considered to be the world’s largest project under public-private partnership, with investments of over Rs 17,000 Crore.
