The 95th Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars will go down in the history as the one that made Indian cinema do Naatu Naatu on the Oscar platform. 2. Resul Pookutty

Category – Best Sound Mixing
Year – 2009

He won the award for the movie Slumdog Millionaire for Best Sound Mixing at the 81st Oscars.

3. Gulzar

Category – Best Original Song
Year – 2009

The great lyrist Gulzar won the Oscar for the song Jai Ho in the Best Original song category.




4. A.R. Rahman

Category – Best Original Score and Best Original Song
Year – 2009

A.R. Rahman was the first Indian to be nominated in 3 categories. He won 2 awards, one for the original score and another for the track Jai Ho.




5. Bhanu Athaiya

Category – Best Costume Design
Year – 1983

She is the first person from India to win an Oscar. She won the award for Best Costume Design for the film Gandhi.

Category – Best Documentary Short Film
Year – 2023
