Sugar, Spice, and everything nice! That’s what led to the creation of the three tiny button-eyed girls over 18 years ago by the secondary tritagonist Professor Utonium in his lab. While his accidental inclusion of “Chemical X” gave the girls impeccable superpowers, it did give us all an endless supply of entertainment. And everyone was head over heels in love with the tiny girls that fought crime and saved the day.
Blossom, commander and the leader
Bubbles, she is the joy and the laughter
Buttercup, she’s the toughest fighter
And we’ve loved them with all their antics. This show was every child’s favourite not just because of the way the girls fought crime, but also for the fact that it time and again showed us that it is ok to have weaknesses and be scared. You become great only when you fight your greatest fears and that’s when you emerge as the real hero. That was a lesson learnt! And now they are back to amuse and teach us a many more valuable life lessons. Are you ready folks?
It’s been seventeen years since the show was last aired. And there have been rumours of it coming back. But, not any more, ‘coz it is finally here! Yes, that’s right. Our tiny superheroes are returning to small screen after all these years with “The Powerpuff Girls’ Revival getting a premier date on Cartoon Network.
If reports are to be believed, this show that went off-air over seventeen years ago has now bagged the premium space of Cartoon Network franchise, which will telecast the episodes back-to-back starting at 6pm starting with April 4, 2016. This will be a week nightly telecast and will go on up-to April 15 as a lead-in to the show’s regular timeslot on Thursdays at 6 pm beginning April 21.
