Lemonade is one of the most quick and easy refreshing drinks that you can have in the summer. It’s made with a simple mixture of lemons, water and sugar. While making lemonade, make sure that you use fresh lemons or limes rather than artificial lemon syrup. It’s a low-calorie beverage which is rich in nutrients and vitamins.

Our body consists of 60% of water and to prevent dehydration we need to drink adequate amounts of water. According to research you have to drink at least 2 liters of water to keep yourself hydrated and adding lemon to the water enhances the taste of water and makes it tasty and easily consumable. This helps you to drink more water throughout the day.
2. Helps in digestion
Lemon juice is highly effective in fighting both indigestion and constipation. Drinking lemonade can give your digestive tract the extra assistance needed to break down the food you’ve consumed.

Lemonade contains Vitamin C, which is an essential nutrient and it plays an important role in different aspects of health, but it’s most important attribute is its ability to boost your immunity system.

Lemon contains citric acid, which helps prevent kidney stones. Citric acid increases the urine volume and increases urine pH, creating a less favorable environment for kidney stone formation.

According to research, lemons contain poly phenol antioxidants which may help with reducing weight gain. Another theory is that soluble pectin fiber in them expands in your stomach, helping you feel full for longer, thus helping in weight loss.

How to make Lemonade
1/2 cup of water
1/2 cup of sugar
1) Cut the lemon in half. Squeeze the lemon through a strainer into a cup.
2) Combine sugar with lemon juice. Add water and ice according to preference.
