Acne is one of the most common skin issues which we face in our daily life. Our skin pores are connected to the sebaceous gland, which produces an oily substance called sebum which results bacteria. It leads to the inflammation of skin, whiteheads, blackheads and pimples. Also, many factors contribute to the development of acne including diet, stress, hormone changes. Honey and mustard powder
Honey and mustard are excellent sources of antioxidants and they have antibacterial properties which work effectively for reducing acne. Also, they have the ability to fight bacteria and reduce inflammation.
How to use:
1.Mix 2 tablespoons honey with the 1 teaspoon mustard powder together to form a paste.
2.After cleansing the face, apply the mask to your face and leave it to dry for 10–15 minutes.
3.Rinse the mask off completely and pat your face till dry.
4.Do it for 2-3 times a week based on the acne level.
Green Tea
Green tea is very high in antioxidants which reduce the production of sebum, fight inflammation and inhibit the growth of acne. Flavonoids and tannins in green tea are known to help fight bacteria and reduce inflammation, which are two main causes of acne.
How to use:
1. Steep green tea bag in boiling water for 3–4 minutes.
2. Using a cotton ball, apply tea to skin or pour into a spray bottle to spritz on.
3. Allow to dry, then cleanse with water and pat dry.
4. Do it at least twice daily for better results.
Apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is known for its ability to fight many types of bacteria and viruses. It contains several organic acids that kills acne and suppress the inflammation caused by acne bacteria. It helps to dry up the excess oil that causes due to serum.
How to use:
1. Mix one table of apple cider vinegar and 3 spoons of water [use more water for sensitive skin].
2. After cleansing the face, gently apply the mixture to the skin using a cotton ball.
3. Let sit for 20-30 seconds, rinse with water and pat dry.
4. Repeat this process 1–2 times per day, as needed.
Mint leaves
Mint has a strong antibacterial property and contains salicylic acid which effectively prevent acne and control the secretion of oil. Mint dries up and eliminates acne while cleaning your pores. Mint is a great ingredient to remove pore-clogging oil that leads to pimple formation.
How to use:
1. Mix 2 tablespoons of mint leaves paste and honey. let it sit for 5mins.
2. After cleansing, apply it on your face and leave it till it sets completely dry.
3. Now, rinse the mask with cold water.
