A girl was rescued as her traffickers were whisking her away in a train, thanks to an alert co-passenger who informed the authorities through Twitter.
The incident came to light onboard the Telangana SF Express which was going from Hyderabad to New Delhi. The victim, a teenage girl who originally hails from West Bengal informed a co-passenger that she was being taken to Delhi against her will.
The co-passenger tweeted the image to the Indian Railways Twitter Handle – @RailMinIndia – and within forty minutes, the Indian Railways authorities had the situation under control.

The Indian Railways has been quite active on Twitter, primarily due to the efforts of Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu, a tech-savvy minister who was in the news for taking prompt action due to a complain on Twitter.
I never thought I’d say this, but good job, Indian Railways!
If you are genuinely impressed note down these two Twitter handles – @RailMinIndia and @sureshpprabhu. You never know when they might come handy!
