Apart from Old Monk, if there’s one Indian brand that has managed to capture the imagination of the nation as a cult brand, it is Royal Enfield.
The ‘Bullet’ as it is traditionally called, was founded as the Enfield Cycle Company in 1893 and had originally begun operations by making bicycles, lawn mowers and engines as well. However, over the decades, it has gained a legendary reputation for its bikes.
While older Bullets were criticised for their maintenance issues, models released in the recent years have had improved maintenance issues and after-sales service. However, the company hasn’t altered the model too much. The look and feel of the models has remained more or less the same.
All that is set to change, however, with the introduction of the latest model from the Royal Enfield stable – the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
The 411cc monster comes with dirt-bike features like the rear wheel, and is speculated to be priced less than INR 2,00,000. Here are some of the pictures of the bike. Happy drooling!!
