“Theri” Director Atlee Kumar’s Next Venture To Be With Superstar Mahesh ??

0

The young filmmaker Atlee Kumar is now in talks with Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu for an action movie if rumors are to be believed.

A source has told the Times of India that Atlee Kumar recently met Mahesh Babu on the sets of the actor’s forthcoming movie, “Brahmotsavam,” and the Prince of Tollywood was impressed with the director’s one-line story.

“Mahesh has wanted to collaborate with Atlee for quite a while now. The director, who was recently in Hyderabad, met Mahesh on the sets of Brahmotsavam, where he narrated a story idea. Mahesh expressed interest in the project and asked Atlee to develop it into a script,” the daily reports.

The source further adds that the proposed project will be a high-voltage action movie. It is reported that Atlee Kumar got several offers from Tollywood following the success of his debut movie “Raja Rani.” But the director was keen to complete “Theri” before moving on to his next project.

Atlee Kumar’s “Theri” features Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Samantha and Nithya Menen in the lead roles. It is an action-thriller, which has been dubbed into Telugu as “Policeodu.” While the Tamil version will hit theatres April 14, the Telugu version will be out a day later.

“Theri” will be released worldwide in over 1,200 screens. Advance booking of the tickets, which was started a few days ago, has met with stupendous response from cine-goers.

On the other hand, Mahesh Babu is fully occupied with “Brahmotsavam,” written and directed by Srikanth Addala. Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha and Pranitha Subhash are playing female leads in the upcoming multilingual movie. It will hit the screens May.

Crazy and Weird Moments of IPL History Which Are A Major Source Of Nostalgia..!!

0

By Pratik Salvi

IPL has always been about big hitting, close call matches, equally poised teams with warranted batting daredevilry. But through all these since it’s inception, there have been sparks of mortal humour sprinkled., which add so much more depth to the franchise for many more years to come..

A Little Girl Makes An Effect On Gayle :

Gayle with GirlGayle’s big six hits a ten year old a girl, who was watching the match in the stadium. Unfortunately, the girl was badly injured and got admitted to RCB’s own Mallya hospital and recovered very soon. Later, Gayle & Sid Mallya visited them in hospital and she was brought to next match to meet Chris Gayle.

Sleepy Steyn As Match Comes To A Crucial Juncture :

This was Deccan Chargers vs. Mumbai Indians. The magical Dale Steyn bowls a beautiful ball and Richard Levi’s stumps go flying. And then SteynYawn..! Just another day on the job … !  No wonder this guy is considered the number one bowler in the world.

Pollard Goes On Silence Please Mode..!

pollard tapeOne of the on-field umpires was not happy with Pollard trying to get under Chris Gayle’s skin. The 27 year old Trinidadian had quite a few things to say to his compatriot as Bangalore began their chase of a mammoth 210 run target versus Mumbai Indians. Pollard was asked to maintain proper distance and control the chatter. Pollard’s response was to promptly put some tape on his mouth. He literally taped up his mouth to show that he would do absolutely no talking, sledging or otherwise. When he had to talk to a teammate, he peeled off an edge of the tape to talk and put the tape back on. The Bangalore crowd, the commentators and the Mumbai players and support staff in the dugout were all in splits. The only one who didn’t see the funny side of it was Gayle.

Gilchrist Does A Jig Oppa Gangnam Style….!

gilchrist gangnam styleAdam Gilchrist bowed out of IPL cricket by taking the wicket of Harbhajan Singh – and then following it up with a ‘Gangnam Style’ dance.

The Australian wicketkeeper was playing his final match for the Kings XI Punjab and decided to bowl some off-spin. The first ball from the 41-year-old was slogged down to long-on by Harbhajan and was caught on the boundary by Gurkeerat Singh to give Gilchrist his first and only IPL wicket.

Sehwag Touches Sachin’s Feet…!

sachinBatting legend Sachin and Virender Sehwag have opened for Indian together and the latter was even called Sachin’s clone early on. Sehwag did the most unexpected during IPL 2014. After Kings XI Punjab was defeated by Mumbai Indians, Sachin came to congratulate players. What happened next was that Sehwag touched Sachin’s feet, and everybody else was smiling, clapping for the duo.

Shah Rukh Khan Speaks About Playing SRK And His Fan….Excerpts Of His Interview..!

0

With Jabraa Fan officially hitting the most viewed trailer of all time, the anticipation has reached sky high, on what is touted to be the biggest psychological drama SRK has ever attempted. YRF and Maneesh Sharma have ensured that the two charecters are as distinctly composed as possible and there in, within the character dynamics, is where the movie’s biggest strength lies, as validated by the tremendous response to the trailer.

Tum Nahin Ho Mere Fan – Dialogue Promo – FANEven a FAN can go on a revenge spree, when his heart is broken by his favourite superstar. What would Gaurav do when his idol Aryan Khanna denounces him? Book your tickets for FAN here – bit.ly/BookMyShowFAN

Posted by FAN on Monday, April 11, 2016

Shah Rukh Khan got talking to media about the film and here is what he had to say about it :

Definition of Fan..?
Someone who loves you unconditionally. We are loved by our friends, families, but sometimes certain conditions, judgment comes..in my opinion a Fan doesn’t come with any such conditions, a fan loves his/her idol in whatever they do. Even if an idol does something wrong, a Fan will justify and defend the idol. It cannot be called obsession but it may seem like an obsession to others.

FAN

Reaction and reason for casting Shah Rukh Khan in and as FAN..?
Terrific concept and we wanted someone who has a journey to be followed by a fan who is much younger than his idol. I have a 20+ year journey in Bollywood and Maneesh is from Delhi so he wanted to cast me in the film. It could have been done by any newcomers but then everything would have to be recreated. It became authentic by casting me as myself and archives are available, so no need to establish the idol. We wanted the fan should have shades of his idol but should not be completely identical in looks. The idea of FAN having a glimpse of his idol in his appearance had a depth and the edge which makes FAN unique.

srk-fan-poster-759The preparations which went into it..?
For the first time prosthetic has been used to make a person look younger. Previously it was used to make the character look old (for example, recently Rishi Kapoor in KAPOOR AND SONS). Interestingly, even though when an actor has played the character of a child like Mr. Amitabh Bachchan in PAA, Brad Pitt in THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON, prosthetic has been used to make them look old or in case of Robin Williams (Mrs. DOUBTFIRE) and Kamal Hassan (CHACHI 420), they were used to make man into a woman.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan on his FAN Gaurav
It’s a character created by a team of people. Maneesh Sharma’s vision, Aditya Chopra’s confidence, The brilliant VFX, costumes and makeup, people’s inputs and Shah Rukh Khan’s enthusiasm to make SRK not look like Shah Rukh Khan.. so unique.. completely different. A different personality, experience all together.

What was easier playing a FAN or yourself?
As an actor you cannot play yourself, it’s too personal.. if I remove the vfx and make up part then playing Gaurav was more enjoyable and it was much easier. I am very boy like still at the age of 50, not that muscular, macho type. So I gave it a different body language, pumped in extra energy and tried my maximum to make Gaurav look different.

1456734871_fan-upcoming-2016-hindi-film-directed-by-maneesh-sharma-produced-by-aditya-chopra-under-bannerPeople say it’s challenging for an actor to play older roles
It is a bigger challenge but personally as I said, I am very boy like by my mindset. It was so awkward during VEER – ZAARA to call Rani Mukerji as ‘beti’. I was at ease playing Gaurav and it was much fun.

Well it seems superstar Aryan Khanna is awed by playing his FAN Gaurav Chandana, making the world of SRKians excited and raving for more this Friday..

0

Tragedy struck in Kollam, as a massive firecracker explosion occurred late at midnight. At least 106 people are feared dead and over 280 injured after firecrackers at the Puttingal temple in the coastal town of Paravur located about 60 kms from the state capital exploded uncontrollably, early on Sunday. The gruesome incident occurred around 3:30 am on Sunday. Post such tragic event, it has now been learned that the Kollam temple authorities have refused to budge to the ongoing protests which have asked for Ban of firecrackers in the temple’s vicinity.

India Temple FireTravancore Devaswom Board, one of the most influential temple bodies in the state that governs over 1200 temples, has refused to ban fireworks display, during the festivities, stating such a measure would undermine the glory and age old traditions and added that it is the responsibility of the security authorities to take care of it.

KollamOn Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Kollam, where a team of 15 burn specialists had accompanied him. Describing the tragedy as “unimaginable”, Prime Minister Modi assured Kerala government and its people all help. Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi too, visited the spot — located 60 km from state capital Thiruvananthapuram. The Chief Minister announced Rs. 10 lakh compensation for the families of the deceased, Rs. 2 lakh for those seriously injured and Rs. 50,000 for ones who have sustained minor injuries.

A police case has been registered against the temple officials who fled the spot after the tragedy. A team of crime branch has taken over the investigation and a case has been filed against the fireworks’ contractor. Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Cheennithala said “Actually, it is not a police failure,” on being asked why police had not stopped the fireworks since it was not permitted. “When lakhs of people are assembled here, if there is police action, it will have another problem. So, we have to consider all these aspects” he said.

The Telugu new year started with Sardaar Gabbar Singh bombarding onto the screens. Before one felt bad about its performance, Allu Arjun has landed with a thumping trailer of his next film Sairainodu to light a spark of excitement in everyone.

Harsha Bhogle Removed From Panel Of Commentators For IPL 2016 And Cricket Just Lost It’s Charm..!

0

In what can only be termed as an notorious and an highly illogical move by BCCI, The most famous voice of Indian cricket – Harsha Bhogle – will not feature in the list of commentators for the ongoing ninth editon of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The 54-year-old, who has been with IPL since its inception, was, according to a newspaper report, informed about the termination of his IPL contract just a week back.

The decision has come as a surprise as Bhogle conducted the Season 9 draft auction and has featured in the league’s promotional videos. He even had his flight booked by the production house. Bhogle tweeted his disappointment over twitter.

While Sony Network is the official broadcast partner for the IPL, it is in fact the BCCI that decides on all matters related to the tournament’s production.

“When deciding the commentators, we take feedback from everyone. We monitor social media reactions on commentators, and also take inputs from players,” a senior BCCI official told The Indian Express.

Other BCCI board members hinted at an incident which occurred during India’s opening ICC World Twenty20 game at Nagpur last month, where Bhogle is reported to have had a heated exchange with a Vidharbha Cricket Association official. They felt this could be the reason for his last-minute ouster.

Bhogle told the English daily that he has yet to know the official reason for the BCCI’s decision.

“No one told me anything. I have not been formally told of the reason even now. All I have been told is ‘it is a BCCI management decision’,” he said.

BCCI Secretary Anurag Thakur and IPL Chairman Rajeev Shukla refused to comment on the development. But Twiterattis had so much to say..

Here’s wishing that IPL misses him for good…

14 Bollywood Actresses In ‘Blink and You Miss Them’ Roles

0

Savitri, Jamuna, Vanisri, Jayaprada, Jayasudha – these were names in the yester years of our actress. Kajal Agarwal, Tammanah, Rakul Preet Singh – these are the names we constantly hear now.

Somewhere deep within, there’s a regret among Telugu film fans. That there are no actual Telugu heroines today ruling the roost. While Tamanna has learnt to speak the language, the top notch of actresses are mostly brought in from other languages, and made to star in our films.

In between the gap of these two generations, when the transition was happening from South to North, there were few Bollywood actresses who tried their hand, but rarely lasted for one or two movies. No doubt they got quite famous later and some were already famous by then. Maybe we have our own taste!

Let’s take a look at those stars who came, blinked and went off..

Waheeda Rehman

2

She debuted in Telugu films with Rojulu Marayi and played a princess in Jayasimha. She was spotted by the late/great Guru Dutt, after which there was no looking back in her career. We all know what she turned out to be.

Aishwarya Rai

3 Yes, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan! She sizzled just for a song in Ravoi Chandama... alongside Nagarjuna. Nagarjuna is probably our only hero who has worked with the best looking ladies. The guy surely has great taste! 😉

Raveena Tandon

4

If you ask me how did Tip Tip Barsa Paani.. happen, I’d say watch the song below. It was with our own Balayya that she showcased her hotness in rain. But post that, she got busy in Bollywood. Again, like always Nagarjuna might have got suddenly reminded of her and she appeared in Akasa Vedhilo followed by Pandavulu Pandavulu Thumedha after over a decade.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtDqMWVZVW8&spfreload=10&hd=1

Monica Bedi

6

Before she became the girlfriend of a dreaded underworld don, Monica Bedi debuted in Telugu with Taj Mahal and she too went on to do more Bollywood films, finally ending her career in jail.

Twinkle Khanna

5

She just got famous and was roped in to do a Telugu film opposite Venkatesh in Seenu. Post that film, Twinkle lost touch with Telugu cinema.

Shilpa Shetty

7

We always remember her as the mermaid in Sahasa Veerudu Sagara Kanya. Post this, she appeared in 3 other movies, Azad being the most prominent one among them.

Preity Zinta

8

After noticing her raunchy debut in Dil Se and before she became one of the top actresses of Bollywood, Preity Zinta came and blinked for Premante Idera and Rajakumarudu in the beginning of her career.

Amesha Patel

9

The heroine who debuted simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu in the same year with PK’s Badri, preferred Bollywood after the Industry hit Kaho Na.. Pyar Hai. Later she did come back for 2 films, Nani and Narasimhudu. Maybe for some extra pocket money!

Shenaz Tresurywala

10

Coming from TV, she debuted in films with Eduruleni Manishi alongside Nagarjuna. She went on to act in the college romance Ishq Vishk with Shahid Kapoor, before disappearing from films altogether.

Ayesha Takia

11

See, it’s Nagarjuna again! Ayesha came in for just this movie, Super. Thought it was just one film, it sets the heartbeats of Telugu fans soaring above Saharan desert levels!!

Kangana Ranaut

12

When she was wandering in Bollywood, she dropped down here once for a movie, Ek Niranjan. The film starring Prabhas was strictly average, and Kangana went on to cement her place as one of the leading actresses in Hindi cinema in a few years.

Bipasha Basu & Lisa Ray

14

They just came for one movie together before they were even noticed in Bollywood. Did a movie with Mahesh Babu, Takkari Donga vanished without any notice. Not that if they were there, they would have a great future in Telugu cinema. Good for them!

Amritha Rao

13

Out of the blue, she just sparkled in a movie with Mahesh Babu, Athithi. A decent role, cold have made a nice career with Telugu movies. But, no one knows why she wasn’t offered more roles. Sometimes our cinema peddhollu just skip such actresses for reasons unknown.

Apart from a few, you’ll notice that all the above actresses went on to become really popular in other languages. Perhaps Telugu cinema was just the stepping stone they needed to stardom. One will never know!

“Indian Instruments Fuse With World Music To Produce Highly Evocative SoundTracks..!” – Indian Jam Project

0
It was not very long ago that I came across this YouTube channel which recreated popular OST themes of the world into Indian fusion music. The channel in question, The Indian Jam Project, which in a very small amount of time, has arguably owned up the space of rendition music, with some glorious musical versions of Game Of Thrones, Interstellar, and even Pirates Of Caribbean. It was only a matter of time that I found myself talking to its lead music arranger, Tushar Lal, and got to understand what made them click. Read On…

Hello Tushar , I’ve been following the works of Indian Jam Project for quite sometime now ( the latest being The Harry Potter recreation which just blew me away ). Could you therefore take us through this journey of seamless music recreation?

Hello, So now, Indian Jam Project is a collaborative platform where musicians come together to be play Indianised adaptations of western Tv show themes, Hollywood scores, etc.
My job is to compose all the Indian bits for all the Indian instruments and fuse them with the original score to make it sound more emotionally evocative, basically to make the arrangement, so accordingly I choose the themes! It all started a year back, I wanted to do something Indian to Game of thrones! We shot the first video in my room and from there things grew really fast!

DSC_4806-2.1

I remember that video…Everyone fell in love with your feature on Interstellar and Harry Potter ( I’m a huge fan of these specifically ) and of course many others, But What was in them, that spoke out to you guys in a way that you chose them over any others? Only a few musicians have managed to actually preserve the essence of these tracks while infusing a different culture into them, how did you manage to do such?

I think when it comes to fusion music, the thinking needs to be very holistic. If you analyse both the pieces, Interstellar is too much soul and Harry Potter is a lot of skill! Both these things should be showcased properly while keeping the essence intact. The Indian bits in interstellar (on flute especially) give the whole track an extra edge! While in Harry Potter, there was so much to do skill wise, its was highly unlikely for it to turn out bad! Also, they are very appealing to the mass, so that’s always a plus point!

Apart from the mass connect, is there something you actually look for, specifically, in the manner of genre or theme, to produce a fusion?

Yes, when I’m choosing themes I always tend to associate the score with a centralised point (melodically) and see how close it sounds to any raag! If that’s not possible, then I end up composing entire sections which aren’t in the original scores! And of course, the essence is always Indian! DSCN595

True that needs to be intact…which brings me to ask you this..How important is it for an musicians to actually know their  limitations? Is it a good practice to not know his bounds?

Damn thats a good question, Sid..!
So here’s how it is, A good musician knows when to play, however a great one knows when not to. But its a very different plane of perspective if you think about Indian classical and western schools of music. Indian classical is more like meditating in a cave around a centralised point, to cut it short, limiting yourself there is good since it helps you dive deeper. However , there are other forms of music where you might want to go out of the cave and explore, while the cave is still your home. There, depth is not the only concern! Exploring around your home, or your centralised point, to make your music sound more colourful sounds good too!
Both processes have beautiful results!
So limiting, is subjective. And its also by choice.

Now that you’ve reached a point where people await your next release, but before all of this, How easy or difficult was it for a talented musicians group such as yourself, to make it big in India presently, especially because what you do is not strictly traditional or genre specific?

Its not easy at all haha !
But as long as your work is different, it going to stick out no matter what. One just needs to be different with a certain standard, it always works!
Social media is why IJP is what it is! Played a major role, no doubt!

DSC_5197-2 (2)

What is that one composition that emotionally drained you or took in a huge amount of effort to get back from? Is the genre of music fusions, the soul of them so to speak changing over time?

Well, if you talk about covers, composing Indian bits for interstellar was without a doubt my favourite part! Also, flute as an instrument is so good, it brings out everything so well! Apart from that, obviously Hans Zimmer, Tchaikovsky are a few composers which get me all weird emotionally !

When you want to go in for a particular soundtrack or cover, what are the first five things that you want to decide upon in choosing them? Also are you involved in any other aspects of music creation or instrumentation, say video editing etc, to properly propagate your ideologies?

The first five things to look forward to are definitely how close the composition is to a raag, how emotionally evocative it is as a piece or how fun it is to play, how appealing it is to the crowd, what instruments would be needed for the arrangement and the transition between pieces!
Apart from that video, is always handled by our two genius friends – Tuhin and Amitesh! They always end up complimenting the track in the best way possible! Its uncanny how it works every-time so perfectly!

DSC_5000-2.1

Anyone who is even remotely famous by doing covers or numbers, much Lindsey Stirling or our own VidyaVox, have started to go for collaborations with our artists across genres, what are your thoughts on it ? If you had to collaborate with any five artists across the globe who would they be? If it were Indian artists what would you say?

Definitely! Collaborations are so much fun!
I think thats whats already happening with IJP! Since no member is consistent, every new video is a collaboration with some new member in the house!
Collaborating with indian artists is the most fun thing to do!

Is there a difference at all in the way the music compositions are made for independent projects as compared to say Feature films or music albums? Also what are any five things that we as an unassuming public don’t know about Indian Jam Project and their discography?

I think its pretty much the same! It all depends on what the artist wants to put out! Doesn’t matter what the project is! Unless you have a client or a producer sitting on your head haha!
Five things! Five is your favourite number I’m guessing..haha!
Well, To name a few, we have a really bad sense of humor, we goof a lot on stage, we are sorry for being so dormant off late a lot more projects are on their way, we absolutely love baked potatoes, all of us, yes. And also regular potatoes.

DSC_4905-2

Any advice you would like to give to budding composers that want to make it big in this preferred arena? Any measures that need to be taken care for towards Royalties or trademarks etc before taking up cover compositions?

Well, do whatever moves you. Don’t do it for the money, or the fame. Do it for yourself and only yourself, and never ever stop. Royalties in India?! Hahahhahahahahha I would end up saying a lot, I’d rather not talk about that at all. It is quite, quite bad.

Haha…A Topic for some other day Tushar? Thank You for taking out time for us, and sharing your thoughts with us. We’d love to see more works from IJP in future and hopefully it will rise as a brand which defines fusion music in India. Our best regards.

That was Tushar from Indian Jam Project. Below are the links of their wonderful works.

“36 Hours In Hyderabad” Travel Documentation By NYTimes Is Brilliant In Depicting The City..!

0

( This feature originally appeared in NYTimes As Part Of Their 36 Hours In World Cities Series ). NYTimes as part of their cultural exploration series, recently did their part in Hyderabad, in order to true capture the soul of the city. The following were their highly beautiful findings regarding the city.

To immerse yourself in local traditions of Hyderabad, the best time to visit might be the month of Ramadan, which starts in June this year. While Muslims fast during daylight hours, the streets surrounding the Charminar monument in Hyderabad’s Old City come alive after dark, transforming into a vibrant night bazaar — thousands of people pack the lanes to feast on haleem and biryani, sip on Irani chai and get a head start on their Eid holiday shopping.

Friday
1CULINARY CLASSIC, 5 P.M.
Variants of biryani, a fragrant dish of rice layered with meat, fish or vegetables, are a staple across much of India and Pakistan; to those who know a thing or two about food, though, Hyderabad’s take on the classic is the finest you’ll find anywhere in the world. Here, basmati rice is steamed in an airtight pot with chicken or lamb marinated in yogurt and spices, and laced generously with cardamom and cloves. The homegrown chain Paradise might be the most foreigner-friendly. Head to the original Secunderabad flagship, which opened in the 1950s, and take your pick of one of the many spotless dining rooms spanning multiple levels. A generous platter of Paradise’s melt-in-your-mouth mutton biryani will set you back 254 rupees(about $3.80).

2CULTURE BREAK, 8 P.M.
A former home in a quiet Banjara Hills lane was converted into a refuge for Hyderabadi creative types back in 2010. Lamakaan buzzes throughout the day with young thinkers brainstorming new ideas over chai, and on any given weekend, the space plays host to theatrical productions, comedy shows, concerts, Pecha Kucha presentation evenings and literary festivals. Check the schedule online to see what’s running; recent events haveincluded cooking classes, a quiz night and a Hindi play.

Saturday
3. ART AND COFFEE, 11 A.M.
Curious about the artistic talent emerging from this region of India? Then a visit to the Kalakriti Art Gallery at Banjara Hills Road No.10 is a requisite. Here, you’ll browse works by B. Srinivas Reddy, Kauser Qureshi, Balaji Ponna and Muktinath Mondal — but first, brunch. At the adjacent Gallery Café, choose from ice cream waffles (150 rupees), a corn-and-spinach focaccia sandwich (160 rupees) or a paneer-paratha-tortilla wrap (180 rupees). Just be sure to have your cappuccino (90 rupees) with a slice of cardamom-spiced carrot cake (80 rupees).
4. FASHION FINDS, 1 P.M.
While Hyderabadi attire is synonymous with opulent threadwork, heavy tiers of silk and gilded beading, the contemporary fashion scene is evolving as well. 10-36HYDERABADLISTY2-master768

5. ROYAL REPRIEVE, 3 P.M.
From a faux palace, make your way to a real one. The late-19th-century Falaknuma Palace stands high atop a hill overlooking Hyderabad’s Old City, but it might well be from another world altogether:The architecture and interiors are an unexpected mix of English, Venetian, Japanese, French, Chinese and Moghul influences. The opulent estate once served as a guesthouse for royal visitors of the Nizam, Hyderabad’s fabulously wealthy erstwhile ruler; in 2010 it was transformed into one of India’s finest palace hotels. Even if an overnight stay is a touch too pricey, you can always make a reservation for a meal and request a guided tour. Afternoon tea (2,250 rupees a person) begins at 3:30 at the Celeste restaurant, near the Gol Bungalow terrace with its gilded dome. Choose from an English high tea with sandwiches and biscuits or a Nizami version with samosas and pakoras; either repast is fit for a king. Visitors need a reservation for tea or for a meal at one of the restaurants to make it past the gates.

6. A VIEW WORTH THE CLIMB, 5 P.M.
At the heart of Hyderabad’s Old City, Charminar, an archway and mosque constructed in 1591 by the then-ruler Mohammad Quli Qutub Shah to commemorate the end of a plague outbreak, is Hyderabad’s most widely recognized landmark — there’s even a gilded tribute erected in the city’s ultramodern IT hub, about 13 miles away. Make a circuit around the structure, admiring its intricate domes and minarets hewed from limestone and granite, but be sure to climb to the top for a panoramic late-afternoon view over the chaotic lanes of the old city below. It’s a fairly easy walk up (albeit through an ancient and very congested staircase), and admission is a mere 100 rupees per person for non-Indians.

7. GLITTERING GIFTS, 6 P.M.
Despite its landlocked location, Hyderabad is lovingly referred to as the City of Pearls, thanks to its bustling jewellery trade. And while diamond mines outside the city may have unearthed some of the world’s most famous diamonds — the Kohinoor and Hope among them — there is bling for every budget on offer in Hyderabad. In one of the lively arteries off the Charminar, Laad Bazaar is famed for its glittery glass bangles in every conceivable color and pattern; don’t leave the city without at least an armful, either for yourself or as an inexpensive gift.

8. THROWBACK DINING, 8 P.M.
Many Indians lament the decline of the beloved Irani cafe; the team behind the ultrahip SodaBottleOpenerWala went ahead and reinvented one. The original Irani cafes were once a mainstay in Mumbai’s Parsi community, thanks to their lively ambience and staples like berry pulao (rice with vegetables, nuts and berries) and bun-maska (bread and butter). The playful SodaBottleOpenerWala, a chain with outposts in Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Bangalore, is a whimsical tribute to retro cafeculture, from the throwback interiors (checkerboard floors, vintage photographs, an old jukebox) to the food (eggs kejriwal, mutton dhansak, kheema pav). Dinner will come to less than 2,000 rupees for two.

Sunday
9. BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS, 9 A.M.
Kick off your day with the ultimate South Indian breakfast. The strictly vegetarian Minerva Coffee Shop is perennially packed, drawing a loyal following for its behemoth crispy masala dosa (crepe) with all the fixings — sambar, curried potatoes, and coconut, ginger and tomato chutneys. If you come after 11:30, it’s also worth considering the idli, vada or traditional South Indian thali, a round tray dressed with a banana leaf laden with puris, rasam and lentils, curd and more. Try them all for less than 500 rupees, and wash it all down with a strong filter coffee.

10.CEMETERY OF THE SULTANS, 11 A.M.
While the sprawling Golconda Fort and the nearby Qutub Shahi Tombs are best visited in the same trip, if time is an issue, choose the atmospheric tombs. The 106-acre spread is dotted with dozens of domed mausoleums housing the remains of the Qutub Shahi dynasty’s sultans and their families, dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries. Even if you’ve visited the necropolis before, it’s well worth a return: The tombs are in the midst of a huge restoration project undertaken by the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, and the gleaming white domes of the refreshed structures stand in stark contrast to the weatherworn buildings awaiting their turn for a face-lift. In fact, the makeover might render the tombs unrecognizable to most Hyderabadis, who’ve long loved their distinctive sepia tint. And speaking of love: Be prepared to dodge plenty of couples who duck behind the colonnades for romantic interludes. Admission, 10 rupees.

11. SNACKS AND SOUVENIRS, 2 P.M.
On your way out of Hyderabad, stop by the gleaming Banjara Hills branch of 10-36HYDERABADLISTY1-master1050

To Find The Perfect Pondati ( Wife ),’Call Me Maybe’ Becomes The Perfect Call Card..!

0

This video by Asmita Ghosh, takes the hit pop single Carly Jepsen’s ‘Call Me Maybe’ and twists it to suit the perfect pursuit for a typical Pondati ( Tamil for Wife ). And after mentioning all the stereotypes that every family “typically” look for in the prospective bride/wife/daughter-in-law, the very hummable line goes ” Call Me Maybe”

A dig at the societal ridiculousness seeking a tall thin fair girl for their ambitious son, making not only round chapatis but also healthy babies, etc everything wrong here is taken up as yardsticks of compatibility.

Kiddings apart, This parody song seeks the perfect pondati, and it’s hilarious and completely bang on!

Old Is Gold : Those First Bunch of Comedians In TFI

0

It is easy to make someone cry – all you need to do is twist their emotions, pull their heartstrings. Or just slap them! (No, please don’t do that, it’s not a nice thing to do!!).

But to make someone laugh requires immense skill. We might change our opinions on what makes us cry. But something funny is funny at all times.

Telugu cinema has a rich tradition of comedy. In fact, in no other industry do you have such a reigning band of comedians. Not only do Telugu comedians enjoy money and fame, they also nail important parts in a film. Separate story-lines are crafted for them, they are welcomed with hoots and whistles.

Today, Ali, Brahmanandam and (late) MS Narayana are superstars in their own rights. But Telugu cinema has always been bejeweled with actors with such impeccable timing that they had their own story-lines, songs, and love stories weaved into the narrative especially for them.

Let’s have a look at the first ‘Fathers of Telugu Comedy’. Each of them had their own style and each of them had their golden period back then. Here are those outstanding comedians who laid a great foundation for some of our healthy lives now.

Padmanabham

Padmanabham

With over 400 movies to his credit, Padmanabham was one of those actors who had the privilege of legendary directors LV Prasad and KV Reddy designing characters exclusively for him. With Shavukaru and Pathala Bhairavi, he established himself as a comedian to be seen frequently with equal importance as the hero, heroine and villain. He even went on to direct 8 films through his career winning a Nandi award for Kathnayika Molla.

Relangi

Relangi

We might not see Relangi now, but he was one of those first few pages to Telugu comedy who had a distinct, inimitable style. His craze was such that people would expect a separate song for him. The Sundari Neevanti  song with Savitri in Mayabazaar is a classic example of Relangi’s clout in the film industry back then.

Ramana Reddy

Ramana Reddy

He was among the first bunch of comedians who acted in over 200 films. It so happened that while he was playing the role of a magician in a movie, he did learn magic and later with many magic shows, he helped in the aid of educational and other voluntary organizations. Ramana Reddy’s story is a real life example of art being used to better people’s lives.

Allu Ramalingiah

Allu Ramalingiah

Known for comedy timing and his nasal voice, this famous side-kick to villains was the only relief for some laughter on the villain’s side. It was through Allu Ramalingiah that trend of comedy shifted to a ‘separate track’. His combination with Rao Gopal Rao is something that can never be waved away from a telugu movie lover’s mind.

Raja Babu

Raja Babu

For a better understanding of Raja Babu’s calibre, it will suffice to say that he was the Brahmanandam of the time. He had a hilarious sense of timing and had a distinct feature of pairing up with many ladies for his films. Rama Prabha was the prominent among them and they happened to be a hit pair too.

Seven Zen Stories Which Will Open Your Mind This Weekend And Give You Inner Peace..!

0

For centuries, Zen masters have used stories and koans, or paradoxical riddles, to help students realize their true nature. These stories are often puzzling and may seem nonsensical, but ponder them yourself and you might emerge wiser and more self-aware. Here are seven of our favorite Zen stories.

We’re not going to try to explain the stories, because that would be missing the point: The stories themselves are the experience. Only you can meditate upon them to realize the insights within them. As Paul Reps and Nyogen Senzaki write in Zen Flesh, Zen Bones, from which many of the stories below have been compiled:

Zen carries many meanings, none of them entirely definable. If they are defined, they are not Zen.

Or, as Mumon wrote in his introduction to The Gateless Gate, a thirteenth century collection of Zen koans:

Even such words are like raising waves in a windless sea or performing an operation on a healthy body. If one clings to what others have said and tries to understand Zen by explanation, he is like a dunce who thinks he can beat the moon with a pole or scratch an itching foot from the outside of a shoe. It will be impossible after all.

Without further ado, come see for yourself.

Thirty Years

A variation of this story is also known as The Taste of Banzo’s Sword.

A fellow went to a Zen master and said, “If I work very hard, how soon can I be enlightened?”
The Zen master looked him up and down and said, “Ten years.”
The fellow said, “No, listen, I mean if I really work at it, how long-“
The Zen master cut him off. “I’m sorry. I misjudged. Twenty years.”
“Wait!” Said the young man, “You don’t understand! I’m-“
“Thirty years,” said the Zen master.

Muddy Road

Tanzan and Ekido were once traveling together down a muddy road. A heavy rain was still falling.
Coming around a bend, they met a lovely girl in a silk kimono and sash, unable to cross the intersection.
“Come on, girl,” said Tanzan at once. Lifting her in his arms, he carried her over the mud.
Ekido did not speak again until that night when they reached a lodging temple. Then he no longer could restrain himself. “We monks don’t go near females,” he told Tanzan, “especially not young and lovely ones. It is dangerous. Why did you do that?”
“I left the girl there,” said Tanzan. “Are you still carrying her?”

The First Principle

When one goes to Obaku temple in Kyoto he sees carved over the gate the words “The First Principle.”
The letters are unusually large, and those who appreciate calligraphy always admire them as being a masterpiece. They were drawn by Kosen two hundred years ago.
When the master drew them he did so on paper, from which workmen made the larger carving in wood. As Kosen sketched the letters a bold pupil was with him who had made several gallons of ink for the calligraphy and who never failed to criticize his master’s work.
“That is not good,” he told Kosen after the first effort.
“How is that one?”
“Poor. Worse than before,” pronounced the pupil.
Kosen patiently wrote one sheet after another until eighty-four First Principles had been accumulated, still without the approval of the pupil.
Then, when the young man stepped outside for a few moments, Kosen thought: “Now is my chance to escape his keen eye,” and he wrote hurriedly, with a mind free from distraction. “The First Principle.”
“A masterpiece,” pronounced the pupil.

The Real Miracle

When Bankei was preaching at Ryumon temple, a Shinshu priest, who believed in salvation through the repetition of the name of the Buddha of Love, was jealous of his large audience and wanted to debate with him.
Bankei was in the midst of a talk when the priest appeared, but the fellow made such a disturbance that Bankei stopped his discourse and asked about the noise.
“The founder of our sect,” boasted the priest, “had such miraculous powers that he held a brush in his hand on one bank of the river, his attendant held up a paper on the other bank, and the teacher wrote the holy name of Amida through the air. Can you do such a wonderful thing?”
Bankei replied lightly: “Perhaps your fox can perform that trick, but that is not the manner of Zen. My miracle is that when I feel hungry I eat, and when I feel thirsty I drink.”

Nothing Exists

Yamaoka Tesshu, as a young student of Zen, visited one master after another. He called upon Dokuon of Shokoku.
Desiring to show his attainment, he said: “The mind, Buddha, and sentient beings, after all, do not exist. The true nature of phenomena is emptiness. There is no realization, no delusion, no sage, no mediocrity. There is no giving and nothing to be received.”
Dokuon, who was smoking quietly, said nothing. Suddenly he whacked Yamaoka with his bamboo pipe. This made the youth quite angry.
“If nothing exists,” inquired Dokuon, “where did this anger come from?”

Joshu’s Washing The Bowl

A monk told Joshu, “I have just entered this monastery. I beg you to teach me.” Joshu asked, “Have you eaten your rice porridge?” The monk replied, “I have.” “Then,” said Joshu, “Go and wash your bowl.”
At that moment the monk was enlightened.
Mumon’s Comment:
Joshu opened his mouth, showed his gall-bladder (true mind) and the depth of his heart. If this monk did not really listen to and grasp the truth, he indeed mistook the bell for a pitcher.
He made it so simple and clear,
It might take a long time to catch the point,
If one realizes that it’s stupid to search for fire with a lantern light,
The rice would not take so long to be done.

A Smile in His Lifetime

Mokugen was never known to smile until his last day on earth. When his time came to pass away he said to his faithful ones: “You have studied under me for more than ten years. Show me your real interpretation of Zen. Whoever expresses this most clearly shall be my successor and receive my robe and bowl.”
Everyone watched Mokugen’s severe face, but no one answered.
Encho, a disciple who had been with his teacher for a long time, moved near the bedside. He pushed forward the medicine cup a few inches. That was his answer to the command.
The teacher’s face became even more severe. “Is that all you understand?” he asked.
Encho reached out and moved the cup back again.
A beautiful smile broke over the features of Mokugen. “You rascal,” he told Encho. “You worked with me ten years and have not yet seen my whole body. Take the robe and bowl. They belong to you.”

Some of the stories above might seem cryptic, but that’s also part of the point. Zen’s not about logic or words, but your state of mind. It was hard to stop at seven for this (but “seven” and “zen” rhyme). Delhi Teenagers Kill An Uber Driver Who Was On His First Day Of Job..!

0

In a tragic and saddening incident in the Nation’s capital, Two Delhi teenagers shot dead the driver of an Uber cab in outer Delhi’s Mundka after an altercation, police said on Friday. The two juveniles – aged 16 and 17 – were detained after they were tracked with the help of data provided at the time of booking the taxi.

This was the first day the driver, 51-year-old Kuldeep Thakur, had started accepting passengers using the Uber taxi-booking app, police said. The underage duo booked the cab around 4pm on Wednesday to go to Hiran Kudna in west Delhi. They told the driver that they wanted to pick up a third person.

On the way, they started making fun of the native place of the driver, Kuldeep Thakur, who hailed from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, sources said. Enraged, Thakur retaliated with some jokes on the teenagers, who then shot him, they added.

Deputy commissioner of police Pushpendra Kumar told news agency IANS that no previous criminal record of the minors had been found. “We are trying to find out how and from where the minors got the firearm used in the crime,” he said.

The murder happened around 6pm, police said.

The teenagers dumped his body in a secluded area and drove the cab to Najafgarh in outer Delhi, where they removed the number plates from the vehicle.

Villagers noticed the car on Friday morning and called the police after finding a trail of blood inside the vehicle.

“Our thoughts are with the family of our driver-partner, the victim of this mindless violence. We have pro-actively shared details with the police to assist them with their investigation,” said Gagan Bhatia, general manager, Uber North India.

Jungle Book Is An Enchanting Visual Spectacle You Cannot Miss…!!

0

Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book released today in India ( before US and Europe ) and has managed to pull the audience into it’s wonderfully realised world from the very first frame. The fantastical tale starts of with a boy ( Mowgli ) found in the jungle and eventually being raised up by a pack of Wolves ( Akela and group ). As years pass by, Mowgli crosses paths inadvertently with the ferocious and scarred Tiger ( Shere Khan ) who vows to kill him at any given opportunity. This conflict between Man and Animal was in the classic by Kipling, is so minutely detailed and vivaciously thought out, that the book makes it a tough ask on any film maker to recreate that soulfully gripping magic onscreen. That is where Jon Favreau scores high. He sticks true to the soul of the book, envisioning a vibrant and populous landscapes and ably occupying characterisations. He succeeds in bringing back the nostalgic feels of the yesteryears Disney affairs, who always strung a chord with their high emotional value and cleanly choreographed set pieces, not to forget perfect voice cushioning for each of the featured characters.

What Works For The Movie :

  1. First things first, it’s a visual spectacle like no other. Using CGI and motion-capture technology, Favreau, much like Avatar and Life of Pi, creates an immersive experience that is both realistic in texture and fantastical in feel. To see the jungle come alive in the first 20 minutes of the film is the most sensuous experience I’ve had in the movies of late. You can feel the dust of the scorching summer, taste the mud as the herd of wild buffaloes charge through the mud-pond and smell the dampness of the forest after the arrival of monsoons.
  2. Ingeniously Cast Voice Attributions work seamlessly with the CGI emulations in place. Bill Murray ( Baloo ) has the wittiest lines and he breathes life into his characters with his comebacks. It is therefore hard to imagine any other actor portraying Baloo in a manner he did. Ben Kingsley ( Bhageera ) and Idris Elba as ( Shere Khan ) have such commanding voices that they can make the hair behind your neck stand with just by saying Hi. And such engrossing voices seep into the characterizations seamlessly.
  3. Action Set Pieces are integral to every animation movie to click ( recent case of Kung Fu Panda 3 ) and dear god, does this film have them in plenty. From frantic opening sequences, to adrenaline pumping Bison chase, to King Louie escape set ( played ever so fluidly by Chirstopher Walken at his menacing best ) and the final face off act of Mowgli and Shere Khan, there’s enough in there to make it a must watch even if you aren’t in for the nostalgic effect.
  4. Soul of Disney is kept intact even under those mind boggling CGI and 3D Animation works, and with débutante Neel Sethi bringing infinite memorability to the lead role of Mowgli, it only adds to a classic status this film might go on to be.

The-Jungle-Book-Special-Shoot_SHERE-KHAN-1200x798the-jungle-book-special-shootkaajpg-19d916_765w

What Doesn’t Work :

Nothing much going against to be honest. It was the most fun I had in movies in recent times. It came in with huge expectations, and aren’t I glad that it exceeded them. This movie is what blockbusters are made of. However, If I have to be picky, I’d go with the 5 minute role for Scarlett Johansson’s Kaa, at her seductive best., being not extended. But then, it’s just a minor wrinkle, as The Jungle Book 2 has commenced it’s production, if rumours are to be believed, and Kaa will play a pivotal role in it.

Our Verdict : We fell in love with this version of the timeless classic, The Jungle Book. It’s time you do too. And oh before I forget. It is highly recommended that it is watched in 3D and on a really great screen, to truly experience the splendour and glory of this movie and it’s lush and dangerous Jungles.

Facebook Just Made ‘Live Video’ A Huge Feature Of It’s Application…!!

0

Ever felt the need to record the moment ( literally ) and not just be content with a snapshot of it. Well, Fret not, Facebook got you covered with it’s latest offing. The Live Video. Though the feature is quite popular on its webpage, it has been migrated to the application last night in a press conference by Facebook’s founder Mark Zuckerberg.

The social network believes so strongly in the future of live video that an entire tab of its mobile app is now dedicated to watching it. The centre tab in Facebook’s app, which previously sent you to Messenger, is now all about live video.

mobile2Beyond the new video hub, Facebook is letting anyone broadcast live video to specific groups or events — not just all of their friends and followers. The idea is that you can broadcast a live Q&A from a specific event and only have people who would be interested watch.

Facebook is taking a page out of the playbook of Periscope, Twitter’s live broadcasting app, by letting viewers quickly invite their friends to watch with a dedicated invite button. If who you’re inviting doesn’t already like the page that’s broadcasting, they’ll get a notification to tune in.

You’ll also finally be able to stop receiving notifications for live video from certain people and pages. That should be a welcome change for many people.

mobile1Some additional features are also being added to Facebook’s live video tools for broadcasters, namely five video filters including black and white video. The ability to doodle over live videos with your finger (a la Snapchat) will also be added as well in the near future.

Viewers of Facebook’s live videos now have the ability to use Reactions, Facebook’s emoji responses that were recently introduced to supercharge the Like button. You can also read a video’s comments in the order they were made after a broadcast ends.

The video tab Facebook is deciding to give everyone is instead solely dedicated to live video, not the professionally produced stuff from pages like Tech Insider. (We do live video broadcasts too!)

A big “GO LIVE” button at the top of the new video tab in Facebook’s app lets you start broadcasting from your phone, and below the button you’ll find a river of live video from friends and pages you like. Facebook’s desktop website will have a new map interface as “a visual way to explore public live broadcasts that are currently happening around the world,” according to the company’s blog.

You probably won’t see these changes in Facebook’s app right away. Facebook says the changes will gradually become available on the iPhone and Android over the coming weeks.

Asking a girl out is an art in itself. You need to be able to figure out if the woman you want to pursue is single or not. And that is no piece of cake. The YouTube channel ‘Be You Nick‘ offers you a middle ground. This guy demonstrates easy ways to bring up the topic and ask the question in a such a subtle but straightforward manner, that you are guaranteed to get a legitimate answer without looking like a pest.

Here’s How To Play It Like A Pro :

What happens When A Prostitute Starts Speaking About Stock Markets..?

0

What happens when a prostitute starts talking about Investments and Stock market. What happens when she starts predicting trends, bulls , bears, and recessions. This video is a tight slap especially to those who judge solely on the basis of profession and background, and form pre-conceived notions. Why can’t a prostitute possess knowledge or a fat girl be pretty? Why does one’s background get to define who one eventually becomes?

This film by Imtiaz Ali teaches us a hard-hitting lesson on why it’s not cool to judge anyone. It shows the life of a prostitute, but a prostitute who is financially savvy and knows a lot about investments. She gives an eye-opening reply to one her stockbroker clients and it’s inspiring AF!

Missing Techie Of Hyderabad, Found In A Local Hospital…..For “Height Surgery”..!!

0

Nikhil Reddy, a techie working out Hyderabad, who was registered as missing from home since Monday, was traced to a city hospital undergoing a “secret surgery” that was supposed to make him taller by two inches.

In a bizarre turn of events, parents of 23-year old Nikhil Reddy, initially lodged a missing complaint with the Petbasheerabad police and later traced him to Global Hospitals at Lakdikapul based on his mobile phone call data.

Nikhil, after qualigying as a B.tech graduate, started working as a software engineer at a firm in Banjara Hills. It was in this period that he was known to have always been depressed about his five feet-seven inches height and wanted to gain a few more inches. He then secretly consulted doctors at Global Hospital who reportedly assured him that height of a person can be surgically increased.

The medical team then explained Nikhil that the entire procedure would cost Rs 7 lakh, he agreed readily and paid Rs 3 lakh as advance and got admitted to the hospital for surgery on Tuesday morning, police said.

giphy (1)“When the hospital staff asked for the signatures of his family members, Nikhil lied to them saying that his parents were in Bangalore and convinced the staff to take his old classmate’s signature on the forms,” Central Zone DCP V B Kamalasan Reddy said.

A worried father, S Goverdhan Reddy, lodged a complaint with the Petbasheerabad police, but since Nikhil blocked all calls to his phone, police found that he was surfing the internet on his phone. Police then tracked the IP address location and reached the hospital.

“The hospital authorities told police that Nikhil was undergoing a surgery. His parents then lodged a complaint with us alleging that the hospital cheated Nikhil and violated rules by not informing them about the surgery,” the DCP said.

Based on the complaint, police registered a cheating case under sections 336 (endangering life) and 420 (cheating) of the IPC against the hospital management.

WhatsApp Introduces ‘Encryption’ Feature…But It Could Be Illegal In India..!

0
whatsapp encryption, whatsapp encryption details, about whatsapp encryption,Whatsapp,Whatsappl atest updates

A few hours earlier, WhatsApp presented text encryption feature within the app. This feature would allow by default, the whole chat/conversations to be encrypted, provided the latest update is downloaded . However, if Indian IT Laws are anything to go by, 256 encryption feature makes WhatsApp illegal in India. The reason? Well, the encryption technicalities are “unrecognized” by Indian Law, Yet.

Whatsapp_Encryption_ProximaAlthough, given the wide spread utilization WhatsApp has, the government may not go after it, but in theory it can very well declare the chat app illegal. None of the Indian IT-related regulations permit 256-bit encryption in private services. Although, none of them also specifically outlaw it. But there are some guidelines issued by Department of Telecommunications, which the government can use to term WhatsApp illegal.

According to rules issued by DoT in 2007, License Agreement for Provision of Internet Service (including Internet Telephony) mandates that private parties in India cannot use encryption that is higher than 40-bits without explicit permission from the government.

Also, the permission is granted only if the entity that intends to use encryption submits decryption keys to the government, which in the case of WhatsApp is going to be impossible because it has implemented the encryption in a way where even WhatsApp is excluded from owning the keys.

giphyNow, the interesting bit here is that WhatsApp is not an ISP and neither it needs any DoT licence to offer its services in India. So it is not clear if the encryption rules formulated by DoT apply on it or not. Although, due to the lack of clarity in this matter, if the government wants, it can clearly chase WhatsApp out of the country with its 40-bit stick.

India is, however, in the process of formulating some sort of coherent encryption policy. Last year, the government floated a draft proposal for the use of encryption in India. However the draft was unacceptable in its structural phase, and had to be pulled back. One of the suggestions in the draft was that people using encrypted services will be asked to keep the decrypted data for at least 90 days. If such ideology again arises, it will definitely make the WhatsApp illegal, especially after its decision to turn on strong encryption by default for all users across the world.

This Video Of The Unsafe Vijayawada Hyderabad Highway Will Freak You Out

Vijayawada Hyderabad Highway,NH9,vijayawada highway ,hyderabad highway

The latest tragedy where 4 of the students from Osmania Medical college were returning to the city after participating in a sports tournament in Andhra Pradesh met with an accident on the Vijayawada-Hyderabad highway was really disturbing. Though in this unfortunate incident, the driver was under the influence of alcohol, there have been other numerous incidents where the poor signals and layout of the highway have created havoc to many commuters.

While we Indians are already careless and carefree to cross roads anywhere, the poor signals and planning of the layout on the Hyderabad – Vijayawada Highway has become a curse to many.

Watch this video, spread the word and make people aware while driving on this highway. We hope the concerned authorities take measures to reduce such tragedies on this highway.

Your loved ones are waiting for you back at home. So be cautious and alert while driving!

(Just ignore the music to this video. It simply has no connection to the video, but that is not the point we are talking about here. There is something more to it)

We Bet You Never Knew These Amazing ‘FAN’ Facts….Mind = Blown..!

Shahrukh khan,Shah Rukh Khan,shahrukh khan fan,fan,shahrukh khan fan story,SRK Fan,srk fan story,fan release date,Bollywood,fan trailer,FAN Facts

SRK Vs SRK is the premise of the psychological drama from YRF, which is bound to release next week. It has already created a huge buzz, from commercial fanaticism and through critical anticipation. The movie’s trailer has already become the highest watched Indian Movie trailer ever, and it’s only getting started. But then what the film is actually about is anyone’s guess at this point of time. These amazing facts about the movie “FAN” will quench your thirst for the meantime….

1. Fan was originally scheduled to release in the beginning of 2015. But since the film involved complex visual effect details for Shah Rukh’s character, the release date was pushed. It will hit screens on April 15.

62. Maneesh Sharma is not only the director of the movie but he has also written the story as well. He got the idea to make the film around eight years ago and now he is glad that the wait is finally over.

103. ‘Fan’ features a lot of action sequences in it. During the filming, the action director of the movie used to request Shah Rukh that he should not do any scene where his face is not visible. But SRK always used to try the shot at least once to see if he could do it without the body double. Now that’s called professionalism.

24. ‘Fan’ is the first movie to be shot at Madame Tussauds Museum in London.

75. It was quite a thrilling experience for 50-year-old Shah Rukh Khan to play Gaurav Chanana in the movie, a much younger character (almost half of his real age).

56. It was a massive challenge for ‘Fan’ team to present Shah Rukh in a never-seen-before avatar in the movie. Three times Academy Award-winning make up artist Greg Cannom was hired to alter SRK’s face with make up. Canmon has previously worked for Brad Pitt starrer Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

87. Since ‘Fan’ is about the fans of a Bollywood star, the movie features the original footage of Shah Rukh Khan fans which were shot on his birthday in 2014 and 2015 from his house ‘Mannat’.

18. During the shoot of the movie Shah Rukh Khan’s look was guarded so safely that nobody was allowed to take mobile phones on the sets. In fact Shah Rukh himself was restricted from using cell phone on the set.

99. The logo of the film ‘Fan’ is entirely different from any other movie. The logo features 100 real faces of Shah Rukh Khan’s real life fans.  It is the first time that SRK fans were involved in such a great way for the movie promotions.

310. The shooting of Fan also took place in Croatia which was planned to be a 10 day schedule with an action chase sequence. Though, on the very first day of shoot, Shah Rukh sprained his thigh really bad.

4The local medical team used to give him pain killers daily and Korean action team used to conduct an hour long physio session to enable him to stand and walk. They took great care of him and that’s how the shoot completed on time.

Mushfiqur Rahim Gets Bashed By Twitteratis, Again..! This Time It’s For West Indies Women’s Team..!

0

Mushfiqur Rahim, the Bangladeshi cricketer who went on to celebrate the victory against India a little too early, and made himself a laughing stock, didn’t back down later on in the tournament. He then exacted revenge for his tragedy, over India’s defeat. He tweeted ( the following ) after India’s loss to West Indies and raked up a huge backlash from Indian supporters for his insensitive statement and non sportive nature. Such inprecedented attack back, prompted him to delete the tweet only an hour later. But hen, too litle too late. Even the apology he issues later on, couldn’t salvage the situation.

Ce5TzVCUAAA9uje

Now after only almost a week of that disaster, Mushfiqur Rahim is again in the news for ” inappropriately” addressing West Indies Women Team, on his congratulatory tweet towards their World Cup triumph. And the twitteratis were kinda hoping he would show up, and when he did, they trolled him like never before…

Sardaar Gabbar Singh And His Wacky Stylish Props

When Pawan Kalyan choses to do something, he adds his quotient of swag to it. He never boasts of his acting abilities or dancing skills. But, what makes his fans to feel proud of their idol is that tinge of wackiness and élan he adds to almost all of his movies. It could be through a cowboy hat or a rumaal. When Pawan Kalyan picks up properties, he makes sure that those properties speak as much as his character in that respective movie.

Without lagging much, the buzz all over social media is about Sardaar Gabbar Singh. And what we found unique about this cop-fiction drama is the accessories he used in it.

Baba Ramdev Does A Lash Out At Owaisi For Not Saying “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”..!

0

On Sunday, April 3, yoga guru Baba Ramdev, was addressing a sadhbhavana, peace and understanding rally organised by none less than the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Haryana. The aim of the event was to bring peace through conducting this rally in context of what happened after the Jat reservation riots.

Baba Ramdev made a hate comment referring to Asaduddin Owaisi “Some person wears a cap and stands up and says that he will not say ‘Bharat Mata ki jai’ even if you decapitate him. Baba Ramdev further added “This country has a law, otherwise let alone one, we can behead lakhs. But we respect this country’s law. If somebody stands up and speaks like this, which gives strength to hooligans. We respect this country’s law and Constitution. Otherwise if anybody disrespects Bharat Mata, we have the capability of beheading not one but thousands and lakhs.”

RSS and BJP are making one of their agendas to impose many minority groups where they must chant ‘Bharat mat ki Jai’ which is also catering to their major vote banks. In 2013, Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi was arrested for hate speech where he said “we (Muslims) are 25 crores, you are 100 crores (Hindus). You are so much more numerous. But just remove the police for 15 minutes and we will show who the brave ones are and who is stronger”?

The hate speech of Baba Ramdev and Akbaruddin Owaisi conveys the same meaning yet no action has been taken.

These Unusual Professions Will Make You See Your Job In A Different Light AllTogether..!..!

0

By Apeksha Tickoo

If you haven’t made up your mind regarding what career you want to take up, one question that will haunt you at every family gathering or whenever you bump into that nosy aunt is, ‘What do you want to do with your life?’

How about the next time someone puts up the same question, you answer with ‘I want tocry out loud and get paid for it!’ Or, ‘Cuddle people and earn bucks!’ Trust us, you’ll never hear the same question from that person again. Or rather, never ever  hear from that person again! (Thank us later!)

But if you think the answers we have suggested are based on pure imagination, read along and  we’ll prove you wrong.

Here is a list of 5 professions so unusual, you might actually like them.

BIRD DAMPERS

1You must have heard about scarecrows. Forget that image you’ve made up in mind of an earthen pot and hay arranged in the shape of a human placed In the midst of a field. Now is the age of real human scarecrows. People are ready to pay you if you can hold a flag with the emblem of a crossed out bird and make sure that no bird dares to sit around in the area designated to you.

The picture is of a bird deterrent at Rambagh Palace, Jaipur.  He’s probably holding the sign to inform the guests about his task (and obviously the well read birdies)

PAID MOURNERS

In the world of paid mourning, you are expected to attend funerals and moan. This line of work is practiced in the UK, Mediterranean, Egypt, Lebanon and, India. There is an established company in the UK called ‘Rent a mourner’ which provides people to increase the numbers at a funeral.

Talking about our country, this is common in the state of Rajasthan where mainly females practice this profession and are called ‘Rudaalis’

HOT WALKERS

2The title sure does sound fiery! ‘Hot Walker’ Just to clarify, the term ‘hot’ isn’t used for the professional but describes a horse! Right after racing or exercising, the horse gets heated up and if not cooled down may suffer kidney damage or shock. To avoid this, hot walkers walk the horse to calm it down and maintain its body temperature.

PROFESSIONAL CUDDLERS

It is a scientifically proven fact that cuddling boosts one’s immune system, relieves pain and lowers the risk of heart diseases. Imagine getting all of this along with money! That is the life of professional cuddlers. There are many establishments which provide snuggle buddies for platonic cuddling, and these cuddlers get $40 (Rs 2400) for an hour of their work.

Puzzled? Follow the link below to peep into the cuddling industry! (You’re definitely going to need to cuddle after watching it!)

QUEUE STANDERS

3This profession was born out of  goods shortage when elite people did not want to stand in long queues and wait till they had their product. To make this easy, they hired people who would stand on behalf of them. Even after the goods shortage faded away, this profession did not cease to grow. Talking about present time it has developed into a full fledged industry. Be it standing in line for registering high demand specialists in hospitals or for purchasing the latest iPhone, the queue standers are ready to wait as long as you want them to!

Talking about queues, it seems this profession has  no chance of flourishing in India. (who believes in queues after all!)

If You’re Planning To Go For That Ladakh Vacation This Summer, Here Are 10 Things You Need To Do There..!

0

By Surela Chakraborthy

My trip to Ladakh was a life time experience. Why you may ask. There was a cloudburst followed by a landslide near Nubra valley, as a result almost three hundred tourists got stranded there. Two amongst them were we- my husband and I. Crossing the landslide and two furious streams with the help of the Indian army was an adventure for us. It became an interesting anecdote to relate to amazed relatives and friends once we were back to the safety of our home. Fear not! Ladakh is not a dangerous place to visit at all, barring the fact that you are not going there during the monsoons. The best time to visit Ladakh is from April to June. Though sightseeing is of prime importance, there are many more things you can do there to make your visit really memorable.

Chat With Locals:

ladakah6During our stay at Ladakh we met with the dhabawala at T-More. I still remember his name- Gyaltsen. He along with two of his assistants cooked dinner for us when we were stranded. He also supplied lunch to more than three hundred tourists who were stranded near the junction. He and many like him were warm and friendly to the tourists and also to each other. These brave souls fight odds daily and survive in a harsh climate, yet their gentleness and camaraderie will melt your heart. Our guide Sangdup was also very friendly and he went out of his way to help us when we needed it most.

Salute the Martyrs:

ladakah2After a visit to the museum at the Hall of Fame and watching the documentary on Kargil War our hearts were filled with patriotic fervor. It will take you aback to think that the Indian army actually managed climbed the barren and lofty mountains and fought the enemy. While roaming around the museum we found flower wreaths kept on a stand. You can take a wreath and place it under the memorial pillar and salute the real heroes. You can go through the list of the names of soldiers who gave up their life during the war.

Eat Kebabs at Leh Market:

ladakah9You must not miss eating the street-side kebabs once you are at Leh. Most kebabwalas will serve you the kebabs with coleslaw but the man selling kebabs near the taxi stand served it with a red coloured chutney that simply tasted out of the world. The kebabs are served on a bed of chapati with the chutney on top. Other than kebabs there were Kashmiri fare like Rista and Goshtabas. You can also enjoy some momos along with the famous Kashmiri kahwa at restaurants lining the market. Try the local Ladakhi food like Thupka (noodle-soup), Skyu (meat broth with wheat dumplings) and Khambir (special type of Ladakhi bread).

Take the Iconic Selfie at Khardung La:

ladakah5If you are travelling to Nubra Valley you have to cross the famous Khardung La Pass. It is the highest motor able pass located at the height of 18,379 ft. Here you can take the best selfie or groupie while shivering in the cold. The mountains are snow capped and the prayer flags silently flutter in the wind. From here you will get the panoramic view of mountains. Remember not to stand here for too long since you might feel a little dizzy or light headed afterwards.

Try to see the Stars and Moon at Night:

ladakah3The best thing about Ladakh that you will get clear blue skies during the day making all your photographs look like posters. At night it is filled with stars and the moon. You must look up to the sky and make the most of the view, this is something you will not get once you are back home.

Boat ride at the confluence of Zanskar and Indus Confluence:

ladakah4So long I had read about the Indus Valley Civilization in history books. I was super excited to go for a boat ride on the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers. There are other options like kayaking and white water rafting as well. Being a little faint-hearted I chose the safest way to enjoy. You can actually spot the two rivers meeting from a height. The Indus river has silt so it appears brown while the Zanskar appear green.

Drink Butter Tea and have Local Food:

ladakah1The steaming cup of butter tea will instantly warm you up and revive you in a jiffy. You might become tired climbing all the steep monastery steps, so it is a good idea to sip some butter tea after each visit. The slight salty taste of butter blends really well with the milk tea. Special leaf tea is used in its preparation. Butter tea is special to this region that has a strong Tibetan influence.

Watch the Reflection of the Mountains in the Pristine Lakes (Pangong Tso):

ladakah850The film ‘Three Idiots’ have made Pangong Tso the must visit place when you are in Ladakh. You should visit it in the morning and stay there till evening to watch the colour of the lake change as the time passes. Watching the sunrise and sunset on this lake is like a dream come true! There are other lakes too like Tsomoriri lake, Tso Kar Lake and Yarab Tso Lake are equally beautiful. Watch the clear skies reflect on it still waters. The surrounding scenery will make you go snap crazy!

Take the Car Ride at the Magnetic Hill:

ladakah7Magnetic Hill is a part of the Srinagar-Leh highway and it is located about 30 kms from Leh towards Kargil. Here you will see the road ahead going uphill. If you turn off the engine of your car and let it stand in the neutral you will actually notice the car moving and can travel up to 20kms. on its own. Intrigued? Is this an act of God? Maybe yes because it is believed the magnetic force here is so strong that it can pull the cars uphill. When planes fly over this area it increases its altitude to avoid the magnetic interference. Strange are the ways of Nature!

Visit the Gurudwara Pathar Sahib:

ladakah8This sacred sight for the Sikh Community gets its name from the event happened here once upon a time. The folklore says, there lived a demon in a village who used to frighten the villagers who came to get water from a pond. His reign of terror continued until Guru Nanak intervened and came to the rescue of the villagers. When the demon saw Guru Nanak bathing in a pond he threw down a stone from the opposite mountain. It came rolling down and touched Guru Nanak. No sooner the stone turned into wax and the impression of the great saint’s body was left on it.

This place has become a pilgrimage center. Once you come out of the worship center you will served with prasad straight out of the langaar or community kitchen. The other humbling sight we caught here was that of army servicemen cleaning shoes of  the visitors and arranging them in order. To them everyone is equal in the eyes of God. The visit to this Gurudwara is a must to get the complete feel of Ladakh. You can take a selfie outside the Gurudwara wearing the yellow headgear mandatory for going inside the inner chamber.

 Leh-Ladakh

If you love trekking and mountain biking Ladakh is the ultimate place for you. If you are lucky enough you can get a rare sighting of the snow leopard, a very shy animal. If you are an adventure junkie or a bohemian at heart the tented camp accommodation is meant for you. Many hotels with tented camps light bonfires at night to give you the feel of the mountains. Mix with these polite locals and get to know more about their lives. You will get an inspiration from their struggle. The mountains though stark and barren has its own beauty. The ancient monasteries are nestled in these mountains are an abode of peace. The architecture, woodwork and history will take you back to those times. You can get a breathtaking view of the mountains and valley from these  monasteries. Visiting Ladakh once is not enough, the place and its people will beckon you again and again.

Model and former Bigg Boss Pooja Mishra has slapped a case against film star Sunny Leone in the Bombay High Court demanding Rs 100 crore compensation for allegedly “defaming her”.

Bizarre Lyrics That Are Twisted And Turned Hummable By Harris Jayaraj

0

Harris Jayaraj is one of the most respected South Indian music directors. His songs have been known to be melodious and extremely catchy. However, one aspect that has always almost been a constant with his songs are the inclusion of bizarre and downright hilarious lyrics in songs that make no sense at all. Sure, part of the credit must go to the lyricists, but Harris has successfully made them a part of Tamil mainstream cinema and for that, total props to him.

This article has been written in jest and is intended to make the reader laugh over the sheer genius of the man. He has transformed as well as bought in phrases that would make one sound silly in normal conversation, but are now common place. Here are five phrases from Harris’s songs that are absolutely foot-tapping-ly good.

  1. Uyirin Uyire (Kaakha Kaakha) – Omoha See Ya

Uyirin Uyire (Kaakha Kaakha)

One of the biggest musical hits over the past decade or so is surely Kaakha Kaakha and the music took the movie to a whole another level. However, in the song Uyirin Uyire, Harris samples some of the funniest sounds (*Omoha See Ya*). The song is shot wonderfully with Surya and Jyothika, but if you are one of those who hummed along with the bizarre, almost Japanese sounding intro of the song, you are absolutely not alone in Tamil Nadu!

  1. Honey Honey (Ayan) – Honey Honey

Honey Honey (Ayan)

This song from the movie Ayan is a racy number with an absolutely stunning Koena Mitra set in a bar backdrop. The lyrics of the song make absolutely no sense at all (*Octopus’un baby, naan dhaanundhan toffee* for example) but it sure made everyone jive. The soundtrack for the album was well appreciated and was a hit. However, only Harris could ever make a song with senseless lyrics come to life with his genius.

  1. Andangakka (Anniyan) – Yeela Yeela

Andangakka Anniyan

Probably one of the best and freshest albums to have come out in Tamil cinema was Anniyan starring Vikram and directed by Shankar. However, the song Andangakka has some absolutely ridiculous lyrics (*Yela Yela*) that only Harris could have ever pulled off in a major Tamil film. The song is a colourful rendition and is one of the catchiest ever. The senseless parts make the song even tripper, if I may, and just adds to the sheer genius of the man.

  1. Yellae Lama (7Aum Arivu) – Yellae Lama

Yellae Lama (7Aum Arivu)

Another Surya-AR Murugadoss-Harris partnership after Ghajini, the phrase “Yellae Lama” made no sense in no conversation whatsoever till that point. However, upon the movie’s release, everybody was singing along to what was probably the catchiest song of that year. Another hysterical Harris masterpiece.

  1. Hasili Fisili (Aadhavan) – Hasili Fisili

Hasili Fisili (Aadhavan)

Surya just knows how to pull off a Harris classic considering the fact that he features four times on this list. The phrase Hasili Fisili from Aadhavan is yet another track that would make any carefree, happy go lucky singer feel right at place. The song is otherwise a nice, soothing melodious one that we have all come to love Harris for! Only Harris is capable of such genius and we hope to hear more of his magic over the years.

Why Ajith Comes Across As A Special Actor ??

0

One of the most endeared characters to have the graced the screen for Tamil cinema is Ajith Kumar aka Thala Ajith. Born to a Sindhi mother and a Malayali father and did not speak Hindi as a child. However, once he decided to take up acting as a career, Ajith mastered the language. We take a look as to why he is considered one of the most popular actors in the state and what the future holds:

  • Born racer:

bornracer

As almost anybody who watches Tamil cinema is aware, Ajith Kumar is a born racer who loves fast cars and sport bikes. His addiction to racing has seen him race for India too in the Formula 2 and the Formula BMW Asia making him a hero to the thousands of young boys and men who follow the circuit regularly. On top of that, he also has a keen interest in bike racing as was seen in the film, Mangatha, where he performed his own stunts.

  • Marriage to Shalini:

ajitmarrigeshalini

Ajith Kumar was one of the up coming popular stars of the South by the time his marriage with Shalini was fixed. Shalini was a beloved actress from the South owing to her performances as Baby Shalini in many roles in her childhood days. When Ajith proposed and the marriage was fixed, many people were elated as one of their favourite stars was getting married to their favourite actress. Both of them are still going strong and have two children, Anoushka (8) and Aadvik (1).

  • Down to Earth nature:

ajitdowntoearth

A facet that has drawn not only praise but also awe from many quarters is the down to earth nature that Ajith possesses. Numerous co-stars and actors have spoken about how nice and calm Ajith is and his down to earth nature is something that has inspired many to learn how to handle that amount of success. He has also not given his permission to start an official fan club in his name as he does not want fans to worship him as is the case in Tamil Nadu.

  • Stylish films:

stylishmoviesajit

Obviously, this fact had to feature in this list. Ajith Kumar’s style has taken the state by storm and he is arguably the finest looking Tamil actor in a suit. Most of his films are centred on his style and looks and he pulls them off brilliantly. With so many good things to write about Ajith, he sure is someone whom you can pay to watch in a theatre and makes good movies.

This is quite evident from the fact that it is the most liked trailer of a bollywood movie until now. Talking of looks, not many know that producer Sajid Nadiadwala hired a special team of 50 people to keep the look of Tiger Shroff concealed! Also, Tiger Shroff will be seen indulging in action stunts like never before. It sure does make us even more impatient to wait for the release of Baaghi on 29th April! The pairing of Naseeruddin Shah and Kalki Koechlin, is no doubt unusual but as bold and fearless as they are, it is bound to create magic onscreen and leave us all in awe.  Let’s not keep you waiting for a still from the movie. Here it is!

BCCI Wants Rahul “The Wall” Dravid To Coach Team India…Major Feels For This One..!

0

BCCI’s advisory committee, comprising of cricketing greats – Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman, have now approached batting legend Rahul Dravid –  who has been in charge of India A and India U 19 squads for almost a year now – to enquire whether he would be interested in taking over as the chief coach of the senior team, as well.

rohal dravidThe ever-dependable former No. 3 batsman, it is learned, was asked about his availability if such a proposition were to be made in the near future. ” Rahul has said he will give it a thought,” said a source in the know of developments.

The advisory committee will convene on Tuesday to discuss the issue of the chief coach. Dravid is presently the mentor of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Delhi Daredevils. Before this he led the India Under-19 team to the WC final last month. While playing for Rajasthan Royals earlier, Dravid had also taken up the role of a mentor for the franchise, a job in which he continued even after quitting the game.

2BCCI is keen to have a man who can show the way forward to a bunch of talented young batsmen, especially where Test cricket is concerned. Sources say should Dravid agree to take up the challenge, he is likely to be given a free hand and a long-term contract, possibly extending till the 2019 World Cup.

There is no clarity, however, on ex-cricketer and commentator Ravi Shastri, whose term as India’s team director ended with India’s campaign in the World T20. Shastri, it is learnt, is keen on continuing to work with the Indian team, but highly-placed sources say he is not being considered for the role of the head coach.

BCCI’s present mindset can be seen in the backdrop of having watched Dravid seamlessly blend with youngsters across all formats of the game. Further, with India scheduled to play 18 Test matches between June 2016 and March 2017, a proven-hand like Dravid – a veteran of the game with 164 Test matches and 344 ODIs behind him – makes all the more sense to the board right now. Neither Dravid nor any of the three-member advisory committee members were available for comment.

The board had earlier contacted former Australia batsman Michael Hussey to take up the challenge but the arrangement failed to work out. In the meantime, the BCCI is all set to continue with the services of assistant coach Sanjay Bangar, bowling coach Bharat Arun and fielding coach R Sridhar. Their contracts are likely to be extended soon.

The Responsibility Of Every Girl’s Independence Lies In The Society : Swecha – A Telugu Short Film

0

What is freedom or independence?

We know that once Mahatma Gandhi said, ‘the day a woman can walk freely on the roads at night, that day we can say that India has achieved Independence’ and yet we struggle to see a day like that.

Though not every day we come across situations that bring out the worst for a girl, when we hear it on a news channel or read it in the newspaper, it really disturbs us. The stereotypical answer from elders to political leaders is to keep a watch on the appearance of a girl. How sad is that?

Parents these days take utmost care in giving independence to their children. They believe that their children should have their space but ultimately the responsibility lies on the society to give the needed confidence to a girl. That society includes YOU and ME.

Anupama Reddy & Srikanth Vandanapu have come with a short film in Telugu, Swecha, which questions you exactly on how aware you are socially and how far you mind your behaviour in the society. Written and directed by Raj Sivasadhani, the film has managed to pull decent attraction on the social media.

There is a reason we talked about this film here. Please put yourself in a girl’s situation and think twice before you act in a manner every time.

An inspiring one it is indeed! Watch it here!

Amitabh Bachchan And Aishwarya Rai Amongst 500 Indian Names Leaked In Illegal Money Siphoning..!

0

According to a report in The Indian Express on Monday, these names, among 500 others, figure on a Panama law firm’s list of Indians who have setup offshore companies in tax havens through the firm’s services.

A huge data leak at Panamanian firm Mossack Fonsecahas revealed that it hid billions of dollars in assets of global politicians, sports stars and entertainers.
The files, called the “Panama Papers” and comprising over 11 million documents from the firm, have revealed names which will shock many.

The problems for Mossack Fonseca, a hitherto unheard of name for the vast majority of Indians and people the world over, began when 2.6 terabyte worth of its confidential data was leak to the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ).According to the ICIJ, the consortium, together with the German newspaper Suddeutsche Zeitungand more than 100 other media partners, conducted the investigation into the papers over a period of a year. The conclusion: Information on more than 214,000 offshore companies connected to people in more than 200 countries and territories unearthed.

But what exactly does being an Indian on the list entail?

The Indian Express, a partner in the investigation called “Project Prometheus”, explains: “Some of the Indians floated offshore entities at a time when laws did not allow them to do so; some have taken a technically convenient view that companies acquired is not the same as companies incorporated; some have bunched their annual quota of remittances to subscribe to shares in an offshore entity acquired at an earlier date. Still, some others have received income earned abroad and deposited it in the entity to avoid tax. Some have opened a bank account to keep payoffs in government contracts, or held “proceeds of crime” or property bought with money made illegally in Trusts/ Foundations.”

The report suggests that many of the Indians, featured in this leak and who set up these offshore entities prior to 2013, are likely in violation of the Reserve Bank of India’s Liberalised Remittance Scheme — introduced in February 2004.
According to The Indian Express, the investigation has thrown up the following prominent Indian names: Film star and Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, Bachchan’s daughter in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, DLF owner Kushal Pal Singh and nine members of his family, Chairman and Fouder of Indiabulls group Sameer Gehlaut, industrialist Gautam Adani’s elder brother Vinod Adani, West Bengal politician Shishir Bajoria from West Bengal, former chief of the Delhi unit of Loksatta Party Anurag Kejriwal and the now-deceased Mumbai ganglord Iqbal Mirchi.
The report also mentioned the promoters of Apollo Tyres as being mentioned in the leaked files, but did not reveal any names.

The leaked files and subsequent investigation show that Amitabh Bachchan was appointed director in at least four offshore shipping companies. These companies had been set up in tax havens, with one of them being in the British Virgin Islands and the other three in the Bahamas.

According to the report, the authorised capital of these four companies — Sea Bulk Shipping Company Ltd in the British Virgin Islands, and Lady Shipping Ltd, Treasure Shipping Ltd and Tramp Shipping Ltd in the Bahamas — ranged from $5,000-50,000 but they traded in ships worth millions of dollars.

The four companies had been registered in tax havens in 1993.

In another report, the Indian Express revealed, that for at least three years, Bachchan’s daughter in-law Aishwarya and her family were part of a company incorporated in the British Virgin Islands.

The Bollywood actress, her father Kotedadi Ramana Rai Krishna Rai, mother Vrinda Krishna Raj Rai and brother Aditya Rai were appointed in 2005 as directors of Amic Partners Limited, a firm with an initial authorised capital of $50,000.

According to the report, internal instructions exchanged between the Panama firm’s staff stated: “One of the shareholders requested to shorten her name from Ms Aishwarya Rai (sic) to Ms A Rai for reasons of confidentiality. The same was mutually agreed and consented by all directos and shareholders.”
Her status was later changed to that of a shareholder and the offshore company was later dissolved in 2008.

Gehlaut, according to the report, acquired at least three top London properties through family owned entities in Bahamas, Jersey, UK, Delhi and Karnal.

According to the report, the leaked files also revealed that DLF’s Kushal Pal Singh acquired a company, called Willder Ltd, in the British Virgin Islands and his wife is a co-shareholder in that entity.

Additionally, at least two other companies were set up by Singh’s family members in 2012, one by son Rajiv Singh and another by daughter Pia Singh. Their close relatives were shareholders in these companies.
The three firms together hold close to $10 million in shares, said the report.

The scandal-hit world of soccer has not been spared either. Argentine footballer Lionel Andrés “Leo” Messi and former president of the Union of European Football Associations Michel Platini have also had their names come up in the Mossack Fonseca files.
The biggest name associated to the files is that of Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to the ICIJ, the files reveal that close associates, including childhood friends, of Putin “secretly shuffled as much as $2 billion through banks and shadow companies”.
Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s relatives, including his daughter, also feature on the list. According to the Indian Express, Sharif’s sons Hussain and Hasan Nawaz Sharif, and  daughter Mariam Safdar set up at least four offshore companies in British Virgin Islands and these entities owned six upmarket properties close to London’s Hyde Park.

Chinese Premier Xi Jinping’s brother in-law Deng Jiagui’s name also features on the list along with Mauricio Macri, the current President of Argentina, and Saudi Arabia’s king Salman bin Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud.

West Indies Lift The World Cup…And Darren Sammy Gives A Moving Speech..Respect..!

0

After their thumping win over England to lift the ICC World T20 Cup, Darren Sammy the captain of the side, went on to the stage and gave this wonderful emphatic speech about how cricket had indeed changed their lives and how this victory would define everything about them in years to come..

https://twitter.com/UrsAnurag/status/716684062203596800

“Firstly, I want to thank the almighty. We have a pastor in the team – Andre Fletcher, who kept praying. Really happy with this win and this is something that we will cherish for a long time. I was serious hitting from Brathwaite. It said before that we have 15 match winners in the side. Every game somebody took responsibility. To see him play like that in his debut World Cup was amazing. Hopefully, with the right structure and development, we’ll get better in ODIs and Tests as well. (Nasser Hussain asks Sammy to compare this win with the 2012 victory. Sammy says, “Nass, do you really want me to tell you, okay.” And the speech starts) We started our journey. We all know what we had. People were wondering whether we would play this tournament. We had a lot of issues and we felt disrespected by our board. Mark Nicholas described our team as a team of ‘no brains.’ All these things just before the tournament brought this team together. I want to really thank these 15 men with. The ability to put all those adversity aside and to come out and play this type of cricket in front of such passionate fans… it’s just tremendous. I personally also want to thank the coaching staff. Coach Phil (Simmons). He’s been through a lot. To come here and the way he’s coached this team.. he’s just brilliant. All the other coaching staff who have done their part. We had a new manager in this tournament in Rawl Lewis, who has never managed any team before. He came here. We had a camp in Dubai. We had no uniforms. No printing. He left Dubai, went to Kolkata.. that’s where we started. The trouble he went through to get us in this uniform.. I got to give credit to the entire team here. It was us in our own little circle. We dedicate this win to all the fans in the Caribbean… (Sammy becomes a bit emotional). And lastly I want to find the heads Caricom. Throughout this tournament they have been supporting the team. We have got emails, we have got calls. Prime Minister Mitchell, I know what he’s trying to do. I really want to thank him and he sent a very inspiring message to the team this morning… and we are yet to hear from our own cricket board and that is very disappointing. For today, I am going to celebrate with these 15 men and this coaching staff. I don’t know when I am going to be playing with these guys again, because we don’t get selected for one-day cricket. We don’t know when we are going to be playing T20s. So this win.. I want to thank you my team. I want to thank you coaching staff. Everybody in the West Indies are champion.”

‘The Anushree Experience’ What Went Into Making This Wonderful Movie..The Inside Story..!

0

By Tarz Rabbani

The Anushree Experiments released on the First of April, had audiences walking out of the theatre with smiles on their faces and inspiration in their hearts. But the story had many moments behind the scenes that made it so special and memorable. Each of those, rather each scene of the movie speaks volumes of the efforts of everyone who have put their heart and soul for it.

HUNT THE SAREE

12524140_987960637907195_7881937559571500861_nThe most important scene of the movie required Anushree to wear a half-saree. The costumes and continuity of it was taken care by Nitya and Pooja. Nitya narrates how it took them hours to find the right half-saree for this scene because it was a crucial one and director Aparna wanted everything to be absolutely perfect for it. The zeal and heart put in by the director in everything that was going on in the movie, drove everyone to give nothing but the best in everything they did.

SUPERCOOL HUSBAND

64938_10151356343591865_834501120_nThe most memorable moment on The Anushree production set, as narrated by the director Aparna Malladi was when we had to strap the dummy Hang Glider onto Ulrika and then get her on the crane with our crane operator Mr. Tataji holding her and the hang glider, as we tried creating an illusion of her flying. And that was the day when Ulrika’s husband Gaurav Gupta showed up on the sets. We were worried that he might dissapprove of the whole scene citing the risk involved- But he turned out to be super cool and thought the whole shoot was interesting.

LUNCH TALES

644357_10151447244601865_1815903595_nEach day was filled with enthusiasm on the sets of the film and the best moments shared were during the lunch and snack times where everyone sat down and discussed all things that drew their interest. Sharing stories and details about the film everyone relaxed, and took a while to cherish the food they were having with the best company they could ask for. The lunch time brought everyone together and made people know each other on a personal level, their talents, their thoughts and their journeys were brought to the table each day and made the overall experience of being a part of the film even more memorable.

DISCO CAR RIDES

Group ShotAll the girls on the set travelled in the same car each day. But they were not just any ordinary boring rides. All the girls sang, danced and screamed their hearts out while the driver turned into a DJ and the cab was no less than a club. With some really fun songs and blockbuster tunes playing, the girls enjoyed every second of the travel time. Each of these daily girl parties in the car was something to look forward to each day. Not only were these rides memorable and fun, they helped everyone relax and unwind.

THE TEARY-EYED DIRECTOR

555413_10151356343961865_742034622_nDuring one of those last days of the shoot, we were shooting the climax of the film, which was the crux of the entire film. It was an emotional scene between Anushree the protagonist and her father. Ulrika who was playing the titular role of Anushree was performing at her best and it was so powerful that everyone got incredibly engrossed into the scene. It took a while for us to realize that the woman behind the camera, the director of the film, Aparna Malladi was equally emotional and had tears in her eyes until our cinematographer Eeshwar pointed that out. It felt like she was watching herself in Ulrika and she had this look on her face as if she was reliving that important moment in her life. It was an unforgettable moment, where we felt like we captured the core emotion of the film in that couple of hours, which could be equated, with the experience of shooting the entire film. It made me present to the fact that cinema is a beautiful medium of self-expression, narrates Vasant the AD of the film.

These snapshots are the perfect quantification of the wonderful journey we had all through :

Things That Are Bound To Happen At A Farewell Party…Hell Yeah..!

0

Parties are always a fun thing! Especially when you’re going with your classmates! Farewell parties are all the rage right now and why not! It’s just an excuse to have fun right!

Heels are a pain!
giphy (1)If you’re a girl, you’ll understand what I exactly mean! Going to a party without a pair of killer heels on is a big no-no! of course at the end of it, all you wanna do it throw them off and be comfortable, but throughout the party, those heels are gonna be on and you’re gonna be dancing away all the pain!

Getting drunk
giphyOf course this happens in all parties, but the thing here is, you’re not used to seeing the people of your class being drunk, which is why this point makes it to the list!

Recollecting memories
giphy (9)The entire night is going to be a replay of your entire college life. Speaking about things that have happened in class and laughing away the night is a general feature of this night.

Clicking lots and lots of pics
giphy (3)“Oh! This is gonna be the last time I’m gonna see you!”, “oh! This is the last time this will ever happen! We need to click a selfie for that!” are gonna be something you will hear. Of course no one’s complaining! Who doesn’t love to click pics right!

Reaching home late
giphy (4)“Mom I swear I will be home by 7!”, never will happen! We are always late! Our estimates are always wrong! Coz who wants to leave all the fun and make it end early right! Of course what happens at home is another story altogether but in the moment. It feels pretty good!

Official party leads to the unofficial party
giphy (5)Coz we just need to be given a reason to party right! One party leads to another, new taglines new names, but a party is a party right!

Gossip
giphy (6)This one just has to happen! Talking about the others, comparing the dresses, checking the others’ wardrobes, talking about the drinking capacity and so much more! This time it just doesn’t seem to end!

Choosing the dress
giphy (7)It is a very difficult task for girls to choose a dress in everyday life itself, imagine having to choose a dress for a party! The entire wardrobe is destroyed trying to look for that perfect dress! And of course, we never find the right dress n our entire wardrobe and get n excuse for shopping!

Laziness goes for a toss
giphy (8)We may be lazy in every other situation, but nobody is lazy at a party. Whether the heels are killing you, or you want to catch your breath, doesn’t matter; you feel like you can keep on dancing the entire night! Who has time to be lazy when it’s time to enjoy, right!

Parties are just a great way to socialize. That informal environment, the fun in the air, the excitement of being with friends yet again, can do wonders and make you forget about everything and make you just enjoy the present moment!

Queens Who Have Made A Steady Hold Of The Future In Kollywood

0

With actresses playing more of a major role in films nowadays, audiences are lapping up movies with a strong female lead. Having said that, the competition at the top has always been hot and actresses are always looking for good roles to sink their teeth into. We take a look at who the top female leads in the Tamil film industry are and what the future holds for them:

1. Nayanthara:

1

The undisputed queen of the Tamil industry over the past few years has surely been Nayanthara. From making films with a strong female presence, she has also been the lead in the hit movie, Maya, which was well received from all quarters. Her stock just keeps rising with her slated to act in close to at least six movies in the next two years. With such high demand, it is easy to see why she will continue to rule the roost for at least a few more years.

2. Trisha:

2

After she captured our hearts as the lead in MounamPesiyadhe, Trisha has gone on to act in many movies opposite some of the biggest stars in the industry, both in Tamil as well as Telugu. Her prime in the industry was during the release of movies such as Lesa Lesa, Ghilli and Aayutha Ezhuthu. She came back in a big way with the movie Vinaithaandi Varuvaaya and has continued to be one of the in-demand actresses even today.

3. Amy Jackson:

3

An actress who is British by birth and upbringing, Amy Jackson had a stellar debut opposite Arya in the hit movie, Madrasapattinam. Since then, she has continued to defy the odds despite her inability to speak Tamil and has starred in movies opposite big stars such as Vikram, Vijay and Dhanush. Her future looks bright and it won’t be long before she rules this list if she continues in this fashion.

4. Anushka Shetty:

4.4

An actress whose path to success came through yoga is Anushka Shetty and throughout her years in the Tamil film industry, she has continued to put in consistent performances. Her best roles have been in the movies Deva Thirumagal, Vaanam and even Baahubali, where it is expected she will have a bigger role in the second movie. Having managed to create a niche for herself in the industry, Anushka looks set to be at the top for a few more years.

5. Hansika Motwani:

5

Far from the actress who played a bubbly school girl in the TV show, Shakalaka Boom Boom, Hansika Motwani has evolved into an in-demand actress in the south. With her beautiful eyes and lovely smile, she has taken the industry by storm and is looking more confident with each movie she does. 5 Amazing Variations That Prove Dhanush Is An Actor Par Excellence

0

We dissect five of the best get-ups that actor Dhanush has portrayed over the years. The actor has a massive fan following in the South as well as fans up North due to his role in the acclaimed movie, Raanjhanaa. Over the years, he has evolved not only as an actor, but also excelled as a singer, producer and songwriter. This in addition to the different get-ups that he has donned over the years have made him a fan favourite. We take a look at the best five looks that Dhanush has displayed and enthralled audiences with over the years:

1. Kaadhal Konden:

Kaadhal Konden

The film, which was one of Dhanush’s first ever hits, sees him play the role of a college student. In the movie, Dhanush plays the role of an introvert yearning for female attention that has been lacking throughout his life. In the movie, Dhanush’s get up consists of a clean shaven look, short, neatly tucked shirts and spectacles to give him the complete nerd look. The movie did well and his role was appreciated by all.

2. Thiruda Thirudi:

Thiruda Thirudi

Fresh from the success of KK, Dhanush changed his look completely for the film, Thiruda Thirudi which featured the mega-hit song, “Manmadha Rasa.” The movie too, did really well for Dhanush. Despite playing an irresponsible youth, Dhanush’s “devil may care” attitude and swagger went really well for the role and won him a lot of fans. The movie was a commercial hit and catapulted Dhanush into the big time.

3. Pudhupettai:

Pudhupettai

Probably one of the finest roles ever played in Tamil cinema, Pudhupettai saw Dhanush rise as a local boy from the slums to one of the powerful underworld bosses. His get up saw him transform from a timid, shy Tamil boy to strong, self-confident and edgy don in the second half. The movie confirmed Dhanush’s status as a power performer and is regarded as a cult hit all over Tamil Nadu.

4. Aadukalam:

Aadukalam

The role that won Dhanush a National Award, Aadukalam sees him play the role of a local “cockfighter” pitting birds against each other in violent fights. He goes against his mentor in the movie and the differences and situational drama form the base around which the movie is made. For the movie, Dhanush grew a full beard that complemented his local attire of loose shirts and lungis extremely well. Obviously it went well for him as he won the National Award and the movie was a super hit.

5. Maari:

5

Maari was a movie that flattered to deceive despite the big hype that surrounded it. The trailer of the movie was extremely well-received from all quarters and the most striking feature was Dhanush’s look in the movie. Long sideburns a la Elvis Presley coupled with a thick, twirling moustache and goatee saw thousands of Tamil youth mirror his look all over the state. The movie did decently well, but Dhanush once again proved how good he was at seamlessly transitioning between roles.

This Video Will Make You Stop And Think….An Untold Story Of Being A MAN..!

0

The idea of an ‘ideal man’ is defined by the society but yet it forgets the individual choices of man existing in the same society. Gender equality becomes more inclined to certain ideologies and not universal apathy. Where men are not encouraged to wear pink, cry, hit the gym or share the bills with women, their desires are crushed under the norms set by the society.

giphy
If you think men have all the liberty to do what they want to do in their lives you are probably wrong. They are labelled and stereotyped in all the nicest ways. You must watch this video from Old Delhi Films which shows what men have to deal every day when they step out in the society.

Following Dishyum, he composed music for movies such as NaanAvanillai, Ninaithale and Pandhayam.

VIJAY ANTONY1

Come, Join Hands And Let’s Help ‘Sheeshmahal’ Celebrate Cinema. You’ll Definitely Be Proud!!

0
Sheeshmahal,Sheesh Mahal Theatre reviews, Sheesh Mahal Theatre telephone numbers, Sheesh Mahal Theatre details, Sheesh Mahal Theatre

Sudha 70MM, Shalibanda, it is one of those single screen dying halls in the city. There is a children’s film festival taking place. The canteen supervisor is already unhappy with his cinema hall not doing well and is going through some financial crunch. A petty thief who escaped the police notices many children going inside the cinema hall and sneaks inside to hide himself. Inside the hall there is a strange pair who meets for the first time in the theater unexpectedly. And finally there is an aspiring film maker who walks in only to get an idea to shoot a documentary on the film festival. A documentary that could possible change anyone’s life! What happens to all these characters and how the Children’s film festival turns out to be for them is what the film will speak about.

Sheeshmahal is an independent film. Now there is a reason, we are talking about this movie here. This is one rare independent movie which is a Telugu-Deccan Hindi bilingual. Sasi,  who is helming this docu-fiction has promised to bring out this beautiful concept and treat us all with a Hyderabad we have never seen before. From the Sultan Bazar shops to Erragada market, the movie captures the streets we roamed narrating your next door stories.

Essence of the Movie:

Lyricist & sinerPiyushMishra

Cinema is an art of story-telling in different formats. When we asked Sasi what this movie is about, he beautifully explained this in just one sentence ‘It’s about capturing life and making drama out of it’. Now, analyse for yourself how much these words actually mean. The cinema was captured real time during the Children’s film festival that was taking place. The film crew was just three people running around with a camera in the festival and a few actors. The director explains it was just them having fun capturing some great moments and adding their fiction where needed.

How did this fall in place?

It was on 11th of November, 2013 when Sasi Kumar was closely following the Children’s film festival that takes place every year in the city. The idea was not to let go the Children’s film festival like any random festival that came till then, he instead wanted to document it but with a tinge of fiction added to it. Within 2 days he got the required resources in place and a plan to shoot for the next five days starting from 14th November. The budget in hand was around 1 lakh and without any second thought, the team believed in their script and went ahead. It was not as easy as they thought. They went through glitches and hurdles, but the spirit to make a movie close to reality was never lost. They shot as and when they found time and money. Now, that’s the new age cinema making. Isn’t it?

Who all are involved in this movie?

Technical support:

D.o.P GnanaSekhar

Now, don’t look at the movie that is just asking money to complete their project and get done once they have their money. The movie looks truly awesome and has got some really good technicians handling this project. VS Gnana Shekar, cinematographer of Kanche, Vedam and Malli Malli Idi rani roju handled the camera and has captured a Hyderabad which we haven’t seen before.

A magician with his instruments, Vivek Sagar is rendering the music with a guest composition from none other than Piyush Mishra. Goreti Venkanna, Rahul Ram from Indian Ocean are among others who have given their voices.

rajivravi

What is the current position and what needs to be done?

It’s been 28 months and they completed the film collecting money from different enthusiastic contributors. The film has come out brilliant but an animation sequence and DI work is pending for which over 5 lakhs is required. Aiming to make it to the Toronto Film festival this year for having a great concept in place, the team has decided to pitch in for crowd funding through which they would require some money from you and us to materialise this brilliant piece of art. They have now come out with a video which gives a complete insight of the film and how it has shaped.

Watch this engaging video to see for yourself their amazing work.

5 Roles Of Vijay That Truly Make Him The ‘Ilayathalapathy’

0

By Rohith Nair

Vijay! Utter the name in Tamil Nadu and you will be met with a barrage of fans swearing their allegiance by their “Commander”. The actor, son of filmmaker, S.A. Chandrashekar has carved more than a niche for himself in the state and is probably one of the most popular actors in South India.

Starting off his career in a romantic mould, he has done many more roles that have endeared himself to the masses and critics alike. Here are five of his best and most famous roles:

1. Pokkiri:

THE Ilayathalapathy

A remake of a Telugu film, Pokiri was helmed by ace choreographer turned director Prabhudeva who cast Vijay as the lead role for this film. The movie, a story of an undercover gangster was one of Vijay’s biggest career hits.

The ease with which the role fit his persona as well as some of the brilliant action sequences added to the exciting plot and was regarded as one of the best movies of his career.

2. Kaavalan:

Kaavalan

The movie that was regarded as his comeback, Kaavalan was a copy of the Malayalam film, Bodyguard. After reeling in a lot of losses for not being able to deliver for close to four years, Kaavalan salvaged Vijay’s career and bought him back some respite after so long.

The story was simple and well-enacted by the crew and went on to recover the production costs. It was after Kaavalan that Vijay was able to embark on a few years of success that has seen his star rise.

3. Thuppaki:

Thuppakki

Thuppaki, directed by A.R. Murugadoss, saw Vijay play an army officer in an all-action/romantic flick. The movie is regarded by some as his best role and Vijay fit into the role of Jagadish, and also lent his voice for a track in the movie –“Google Google.” The movie was declared as the biggest hit of the year and was critically acclaimed too for having a nice, edgy plot and some brilliant acting and action skills.

4. Nanban:

Nanban

Directed by ace filmmaker, Shankar, Nanban – a remake of the Hindi blockbuster, Three Idiots saw Vijay play the role that Aamir Khan had portrayed in the original. Flanked by Jeeva and Srikanth, the movie did extremely well in South India and was during the purple patch of his career revival. His love track with a beautiful Ileana too was lauded by many.

Nanban saw him endear himself to the masses for playing the role of a student with great personality and maturity and is also regarded as one of the important movies in his career.

5. Kaththi:

Kaththi

The movie, another collaboration with A.R. Murugadoss after Thuppaki, was another action flick that proved that this combo was working. The movie was a sort of evolution from Thuppaki and brought to light the issue of farmer suicide in the nation. The music by a young Anirudh was also very well received all over, adding to the success of the movie. Overall, Kaththi was an excellent movie for both the masses and critics and won Vijay and the team many awards.

Will Kabali Redefine Rajinikanth’s Stature?

Latest Rajinikanth Kabali News, Rajinikanth Kabali News,Rajinikanth,Kabali Photos, Kabali Images, Kabali Pictures, Kabali Posters

Rajnikanth. Utter the name and you are assured to get some of the most passionate responses from thousands of folks down here in the South. The superstar, whose rags to riches story has been well documented has a massive influence on many from the masses in Tamil Nadu. Any Rajnikanth movie is sure to get more than a hundred percent of hype and with his next movie coming up this year, it looks really promising that this could yet be another Super year.

Rajnikanth has been blessed to see most of his movies break records one after the other, mostly his own, but with Lingaa failing to live up to the hype, it looks like he is weighing up a lot on Kabaali to deliver. If looks are everything, then the teaser alone is more than enough to get even the most pragmatic fan up on his feet and take notice.

Kabaali – The record breaker?

Following the failure of Lingaa, Rajni seems intent on making sure that his next movie is a super smash hit. From the moment the stills of Kabaali were released, many critics have lauded the white beard look that goes superbly with his tailored suit. Kabaali looks to be the movie that could set Rajnikanth back into the limelight of being the most popular South Asian actor of our times.

The role of Rajni in the movie is shrouded in mystery and going by the way his image as Kabaali has been downloaded, it won’t be long before the entire country is geared up. The movie too, seems to have a good set of cast and crew, with Radhika Apte paired opposite Rajnikanth while the music is helmed by Santosh Narayan and direction by P A Ranjith.

With so much hype and hoopla surrounding the film, it sure is going to be one that everybody is looking forward to. Let’s hope that Kabaali lives up to the hype as there is nothing more satisfying than watching a Rajnikanth film in all its glory.

Things Which Happen When You Have An Elder Sister…And A Younger Sister As Well..!

0

Yes it’s terrible! Being stuck in the middle of two siblings can be very irritating. These are just some of the things that happen when you are the middle one.

New rules
d1Looking at the way the elder sibling reacts, the rules are changed for the younger sibling, and if your elder sister/brother is mischievous you’ve had it! Curfews and begging for permissions is a regular thing.

Being bossed over and bossing over
d2You are bossed over by the elder sibling and of course, when you have a chance to boss over the younger one, you wouldn’t leave it right! Of course the youngest sibling doesn’t listen quietly, so fights are a constant thing!

Remote fights
giphyIf there are just two people to share the remote, it’s a difficult task to manage TV schedules. Imagine catering to the demands of three people! Fighting like cats and dogs, just for the remote, trying to set schedules to satisfy everyone is very difficult.

Number of photographs
d 4The eldest sibling has tons of photographs, in every pose possible. When you move to the middle monkey there is a lesser number of photos coz the parents probably get bored. Imagine the amount of photographs the youngest sibling would have! Wouldn’t want to have that life!

Sandwiched between them
d5There will come this point when both your siblings will argue and you will be asked to choose. That is going to be Dharamsankat time! Choose the younger one and the elder one starts blackmailing! Choose the elder one and the younger one gives you puppy dog eyes! You’re doomed anyway!

Borrowing things
d6So if you want to borrow your siblings stuff, it’s not allowed; but if the elder sibling wants to take your stuff, she/he has a right to do that without even asking you! And well, the younger one gets all your stuff, coz dude, how much longer can you use them right!

The best part
d7The best part of being a middle monkey is that you have these two people who will absolutely love you forever. You have the elder one who will guide you and solve all your problems and you have the younger one who is the fun person of your trio, so you can go through your life with them being there with you constantly, supporting you through everything.

Though being the middle sibling is irritating, it’s also fun. You get to try different things with both the siblings, with one you can attend all parties and with the other, you remember all the fun times you had when you were of that age by doing silly things like playing board games! That sounds like an amazing life, doesn’t it!

Are You Short?…These Hacks Will Help Style The Diva In You..!

0

By Rachna Shilpi

God only lets things grow until they are perfect and some of us didn’t take as long as others.
Some physical attributes cannot be altered but the best we could do is be happy the way we are by pepping up our looks and style.

I laugh at the ads on TV about height improvement, because we have better ways to look taller than getting some shoes or capsules which do not guarantee to increase height.

For all the short girls out there Do’s and Don’ts:

1. Heels :

you for sure know they are going to work in making you look tall and do not worry about hiding the heels under your clothes because you can flaunt your footwear and make a statement. In case you are concerned about back pain, try wedges and I promise you style and comfort.

Picture-114-580x469
2. Clothes :

Shirts and tops with vertical stripes or checks make a better impression. Length of the Kurtis you wear should either be up to your knees or shorter and it highlights your legs. The best bid on pants is ankle length pants and capris which work the trick.

3. Color

I am a fan of colours and girls love all the pretty colored clothes, but when it comes to occasions where you want to look tall, make sure you wear dark color tops, as it will make you look slimmer and hence taller.

4. Hair :

If you can manage a puff or a bump hair style that could add an inch to your height.
Get out of the routine hair style which makes you look the same every day and try new styles every day.

5. Accessories :

Stay light on accessories and do not overdo on them as it would highlight your body frame.

6. Make up :

Remember minimalism is a game changer in fashion these days. So be it make up or accessories stay low on it and keep a smile.

Trailer Of ‘Azhar’ Peeks Into The Life Of The Famed Cricketer In All Honesty..!!

Azhar,Azhar viedo,Prachi Desai,Nargis Fakhri,Mohammad Azharuddin,Emraan Hashmi,Azhar

Close on the heels of MS Dhoni biopic trailer, comes an other trailer based on the trails and tribulations of a celebrated Indian cricketer. The subject in case is Mohammad Azharuddin. With a recent sleuth of successful biopics and the feverish peaks of cricket based fanaticism, Azhar promises a cracker of a story, and sets out to speak in voice which is brutally honest of the Ex-Indian Team Captain.

One of the most successful Indian captains ever, a betting controversy put a sharp end to his meteoric rise. A story of deceit, love, lust, success, failure, rise, downfall and more, Azhar brilliantly captures all the ingredients that make for a compelling drama. His scandalous involvement with Sangeeta Bijlani, his steely will towards proving innocence make the crux of this trailer.

The two and half minute trailer shows you the varied extremes of Azhar’s character. What starts off with a court hearing, cuts to his celebrated career as a fluidic batsman and a dynamic captain leading India to much coveted victories.

Here is how the trailer goes :

‘The Anushree Experiments’ Works In The Most Quirkiest Of Ways..!!

0

It is now something of an established fact, that the tag of ‘Indie Movie’ can either make or break a movie in our country. It’s a crucifix carried by every independent self financed Film Maker, as he ( or in this case she ) has to be on the top of the game, to actually get a proper release and land considerable amount of recognition. On the other hand, that very tag, can, in rare cases, get one recognised within the circles of serious movie followers. It in itself can produce out a leeway into the commercial market, and more often than not, lead a headstart into the awards season. ‘The Anushree Experiments’ by Director Aparna Malladi, is a best mix of both these categories, treading that fine line, between commercial success potential and critical endearment. A perfect prototype of the word, ‘Indie Movie’ The Anushree Experiments ( referred to as ‘Anushree’ henceforth ), delivers that solemn relatability and a simulating personal experience, that not many movies in this age of cinema can boast of, Indie or otherwise.

Anushree & Mikku

Storyline : Anushree ( Ulrika Krishnamurti ) is a young engineering student in a typical Andhra household, who happens to mess up her grades on a continual basis. This leads to her parents getting convinced that probably the only eventuality for Anushree left to be taken up, is for her get married. Therein starts the story arch, one which shows how Anushree, a girl made up of unclear dreams and flying ambitions, finally finds herself, and manages to wriggle out of the prospective alliances, courtesy some ingeniously designed strategies and some ‘Freedom’ movement inspired antics. Through this journey of self discovery, Anushree trying to deal with a pesky sister, ( played ever so fluidly by Anitha Kalathara of ‘The Mindy Project’ fame ), jousting with her adamant parents and coping with men in her life, is every one of us in a great many ways.

Helmet with Jaya and Anushree

What Works For The Film :

  1. The innate ability to establish a certain realistic connect with the general movie goer is something ‘ Anushree ‘ can very well boast off. There is never a frame in the whole movie, where one is not impressed by the tantrum throw-ups by everyone of the lead actors, in a way which is genuine and peppered with breathing life. Ulrika Krishnamurti, the protagonist, lends a voice which is instantly relatable to. One ends up rooting for her till the end, ( which in itself is a huge achievement for a movie running on her shoulders ), because of subtle and poignant vulnerability and imperative steely will, she projects.
  2. The perfectly carved out supporting cast lends able support to Anushree, in bringing out her chaotic nature and whining impatience, and their interactions and dynamics deliver some of the best moments of the movie, ( look out for the skillfully done instance in which, Anushree arrives at one of her guy friend’s place seeking some class notes ).
  3. The movie boasts of a great technical team. Neatly captured montages, crisply written lines ( Wynne Tsing and Aparna Malladi ), and a good amount of detailing which went into portraying a 21 year old girl in all her imperfect perfection. Mentions to an engaging musical score ( Tomas Peire ) which gives out an involving experience to the viewer right from the word go.

Karthik and Anushree Kiss with Guava

What Doesn’t Quite Work For It :

  1. The second half of the film, suffers from lack of pacing. The movie slightly loses it’s grip on the protagonist’s problems ( which works for it in the first half of it ) as it tries to deal with or resolve way too many things at one go. A low level of editing incoherency, leaves one wondering where the film is headed to. However, as the movie progresses to it’s final act, the film finds it’s soul again, and salvages the slight hiccup.
  2. Within the talks of the protagonist, and her accompanies, somewhere she barely just manages to drive home the turbulence neatly veiled under her erratic behavioural streaks. Though her internal conflict is very much palpable most of the times, it doesn’t quite come across a few couple of times in her character establishment.
  3. Unexplained closures for characters, which seem important at the onset is one other thing that don’t quite fit into the narrative. Couple of prospective grooms, love interests ( both of the protagonist and her sister’s ) and grandparents ( however they do portray brilliance in their roles for as long as they appear, making one crave for more of them ) to name it.

Mikku! Expression

Final Verdict : The Anushree Experiments is one of those rare films which makes you take up a journey through a world which is known and palpable, yet so very often will-fully ignored. It is not grand in it’s ambitions, but does what it sets out to do, with an unmatched poise. That to tell a story which is resoundingly true, the taste of which lingers on long after the movie comes to an end..

Actress Pratyusha Banerjee most remembered as Anandi from Balika Vadhu is no more. She reportedly committed suicide at her residence on Friday morning. She was only 24.

According to a report in Tellychakkar.com, the actress had attempted suicide in her house earlier on Friday by hanging herself. She was rushed to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Mumbai’s suburban Andheri where she was pronounced dead.

While confirming the news, best friend and TV actress Kamya Punjabi broke into tears. “I am not in the right frame of mind to talk,” she said.

Pratyusha allegedly took this drastic step due to issues in her personal life. She was in a relationship with boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh and they were planning to get married soon. However, trouble reportedly brewed between them which led Pratyusha to take this step.

Pratyusha became immensely popular after she played the role of Anandi in Balika Vadhu after the show took its first leap. Later, she quit the show and participated in Bigg Boss 7. She was recently seen in ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ on Colors.

In January, Pratyusha was in news for accusing four policemen of molesting her at her residence in Mumbai.

P Susheela,P Susheela images,Gaana Saraswati

One of the most popular voices to have ever come out of South India is that of P. Susheela. The legendary singer is known to have lent her magical voice to thousands of hits over the years in over ten different languages.

The Guinness Book of World Records has lauded her achievement and conferred the award on her for singing 17,695 solo songs across five decades. Such an achievement should surely be lauded and the singer has carved her own niche in the South Indian music industry, going on to become one of the legends of Indian cinema.

Roots:

PSusheela

Born in Andhra Pradesh to an advocate family, P. Susheela went on to join the Maharaja’s Music College and graduated with a diploma in Music from Andhra University in First Class. She did so at a very young age and was already creating waves with her mellifluous voice in local circuits. She got her opportunity to sing in movies in the Tamil film, “Petra Thai” – and there is no looking back ever since.

Feminism backed vocals:

PSusheela1

Around the time that South India was waking up to the advent of feminism, P. Susheela’s melodious voice went extremely well with songs that were backed with women power and feminism lyrics. This made her a hugely popular figure amongst women in addition to the film songs that she usually sang.

In addition to her beautiful voice, another facet that stood out for the singer was her ability to clearly hit the syllables of the songs that she sang. Also, she was conferred the title “Gana Saraswati” for her performances. Till date, she has sung close to 40,000 songs in different languages stretching over different genres of music.

Titles:

PSusheela2

In her long and illustrious career, she has received the national award five different times and was the first person to receive the National Award for Best Female Playback Singer in 1969. She has also received the state award from Tamil Nadu, Kerala as well as Andhra Pradesh 10 different times in her career.

On the outset, it is only natural and fitting that a legend is conferred a universal award. We wish P. Susheela all the best and congratulate her on her award.

Samuthirakani – From A Small Town Street Seller To A National Award Winner

Visaranai was one of those movies that made everybody sit up and take notice of the potential of Tamil cinema. A hard-hitting film, the movie showcases a side of the police that everybody is still very sketchy about – Police brutality. The movie made waves all around the state in addition to being lapped up by critics. The raw and dark feel of the film too was appreciated by many and it went on to win many national awards.

Of the three National Awards received by the film, one was for Best Feature Film, one for Best Editing by Kishore Te and the National Award for the Best Supporting Actor went to Samuthirakani, who essayed the role of Muthuvel in the film to perfection.

Who is Samuthirakani?

The Director

Samuthirakani

The man who won most of the plaudits in the movie, Samuthirakani is best known to many Tamil audiences as the director who helmed Nadodigal back in 2009. The movie was a massive commercial as well as critically acclaimed hit and set the platform for him to be regarded as someone to be reckoned with in the industry. Before directing, he worked as an assistant director to legendary Tamil director, K.Balachander for the mega-serial Anni.

The Actor

theactorSamuthirakani

Samuthirakani, the actor recalls the day he used to struggle to get roles as some in the industry felt he was not worthy enough because of his looks. He brushed the naysayers aside and after small roles in movies such as Poi and Paruthiveeran, he broke through with the role of Kanugu in Subramaniapuram, a cult hit in the Tamil film industry back in 2008. Since then, there has been no looking back for him as he has gone on to act in different projects both in Malayalam and Tamil. He was also acclaimed for his role as Dhanush’s father in the 2015 hit, VIP.

Unaware of biggest accolade

Unaware of biggest accolade

At the time that Samuthirakani was conferred the National Award for his performance in Visaranai, he was completely unaware. This was due to the fact that he was dubbing for another movie and had his phone in silent mode. Only after seeing the 32 Missed calls, did he feel that something was up and Venkat Prabhu was the first one to convey the good news at last to the actor.

Ultimate struggle

Ultimate struggle

Samuthirakani recalls the days that he struggled to watch movies and was forced to sell murukku and sundal on the streets to make ends meet. Those days are well behind him but he still identifies himself as the local lad from the small town of Seithur, near Rajapalayam. Well done!

Saw The ‘MicDrop’ Prank Feature On GMail ? It Backfired On Google And How..!

0
google,google prank,gmail,gmail prank, micdrop,micdrop prank,google april fool

Google is a pretty important company, offering pretty important services to a lot of people. So, messing with core functionality of one of their key services, Gmail, just for an April Fools’ laugh is out of the question, right?

Wrong.

On Friday, Google quickly pulled the Gmail Mic Drop feature, which added a “send and mic drop” button to Gmail, allowing users to add a GIF of a Minion dropping a microphone to their emails.

The problem with Mic Drop is that a lot of people inadvertently added the animated little guy to serious emails (see some particularly nasty examples, below).

According to an estimate, roughly 36 to 40 people have lost thier hobd because of the so called “Prank”. Gmail_Mic_Drop_Send

At around 4 IST on Friday, the feature was taken down, less than 12 hours after it was introduced. “Well, it looks like we pranked ourselves this year.  Due to a bug, the MicDrop feature inadvertently caused more headaches than laughs. We’re truly sorry. The feature has been turned off. If you are still seeing it, please reload your Gmail page,” a spokesman said.

Hope we get to see some unharming stuff from Google in the future.

surya in 24 movie,surya images,surya 24

By Rohith Nair

With Tamil cinema pushing the borders of creativity over the past few years, the hype surrounding a movie too seems to hit fever pitch before a release. If the actor is a well-established star, then good luck trying to get tickets for the first few days. With so many awesome films slated to arrive this year, here is a look of some of the biggest stars’ films that could tear up the screen:

Surya (24)

surya24

Surya is one of those actors who knows how to push his strengths and discover newer layers in his acting prowess and 24 seems like one of those films that could be path-breaking. Surya is looking for a big hit and this could just prove to be the right move.

Science-fiction has always been a topic of hot discussion and interest over the past few years and 24 seems to be another awesome addition to that list. To top it off, the music is scored by maestro, A.R. Rahman, so that in itself will be worth the entry ticket.

Vijay (Theri)

Vijay Theri

Vijay’s fans come in throngs to watch his movies and with director Atlee helming this project, Theri looks to be another classic Vijay movie that we have all come to love. Vijay plays three different characters in the film, each with their own idiosyncrasies and the trailer of the film itself has been viewed close to 5 million times on YouTube. Fans will be looking forward to Vijay charming his audiences and the partnership with Atlee seems interesting. The movie will be released on April 14th.

Dhanush (Kodi)

danushkodi1

Dhanush’s next movie is Kodi, opposite Trisha and sees him in yet another avatar. The movie is slated to be a big hit, at least in terms of music owing to the fact that Santosh Narayan is at the helm. Dhanush fans can also look forward to him pairing up with Trisha in the film, and the love track between the two should seem very interesting.

Vikram (IruMugan)

Vikram Iru Mugan

One of the finest actors to have graced Tamil cinema is Vikram and his next release looks to cement his legacy even further. A science-fiction film, IruMugan sees Vikram paired opposite NithyaMenen and could be one of the biggest hits of his stellar career if all goes well. Besides, it’s Vikram, there is always something to look forward to in his movies.

Rajnikanth (Kabaali)

Rajnikanth Kabaali

Saving the best for last, Superstar Rajnikanth looks all set to break new records and further his legacy with Kabaali. The first look of the movie itself set tongues wagging with Rajni looking dapper and extremely stylish in a new getup. The movie has a lot of hype surrounding it and will almost surely be the highest grossing film in South India upon release.

This Video Takes A Rightful Dig At Caste Differentiation In India..And We Love It..!!

0
Rightful Dig At Caste, cast in india, video about cast, cast abut cast problem in india

By Rachna Shilpi

Originally structural caste system was a division of the society based on occupation and family lineage. The four main castes according to history were: Brahmins (Priests and Teachers) , Kshatriyas ( Rulers and Soldiers), Vaishyas ( Merchants and traders) and the shudras (workers for odd jobs). Hence all the castes belonged to one of these categories.

The caste system is one of the most misinterpreted, misinformed, misunderstood and misused aspect.

You might have encountered the differentiation subtly in your schools, colleges and even in your neighbourhood. I am sure we did not respond to it negatively. This video by ‘Playground’ has one appealing interpretation to the system and it did make sense to me, hope it does the same to you too.

The funny thing about systems like this is that we consider them when and where we want to and we do not take it into account when we do not feel it necessary – Like India as a nation has fought wars, calamities and terrorism without discrimination but when it comes to gaining sides in politics, voicing opinions on division of regions, making families and babies it creeps in.

I think it is up to us, the educated lot to better people’s thoughts on this – in the words of Esther Dyson.

Change means that what was before wasn’t perfect. People want things to be better.’’

Don’t all of us want things to get better?

The first song from Sunny Leone’s upcoming movie ‘One Night Stand’ is out now and is called ‘Do Peg Maar’. It can easily be touted as the next hot “daaru based” anthem. Sunny sizzles like her usual self and the song is sung by the anthem mongers favourite Neha Kakkar.

As is quite apparent from the onset, the scorching song is a peppy, dance number from the flick and as one would expect, the video is laced with ample hotness sported by a dazzling Sunny Leone.

Leone took to Twitter to share the first song video. Directed by Jasmine Moses D’Souza, the film also stars Tanuj Virwani and Nyra Banerjee in the lead and is produced by Furquan Khan and Pradeep Sharma.

SPAGHETTI CROPS LIVE FROM BBC. (1957)
BBC is known for the credibility and solemnity of its news but it does not lag behind when it is time to catch up with some fun. In the year 1957 on April Fools’ it broadcast-ed the news of spaghetti plants being cultivated by Swiss farmers and also showed a footage of farmers pulling strands of spaghetti down from trees. Large no.of its viewers were fooled and probably drowned themselves in spaghetti to avoid being a laughing stock. Well played BBC!

WHEN LOS ANGELES WAS CHICAGO (1992)
People flying to Los Angeles were bewildered to see a long yellow banner reading ‘Welcome to Chicago’ while the flight was landing. Every passenger on the plane was puzzled and had no clue as to why were they being landed in the wrong city. The confusion got cleared only when the people got to know how intricately the airport authority of Los Angeles had planned this April Fool’ by creating a  85 foot long yellow banner  on the ground that spelled out, in 20-foot-high red letters, “Welcome to Chicago.” What can we say! The joy of fooling! (Flying I mean). Here is a picture of the banner!

GOOGLE GULP for GOOGLING (2005)
A new line of smart beverages called ‘Google Gulp’ was announced. This drink that was claimed to be available in 4 flavors was designed to maximize one’s surfing efficiency by making one more intelligent, and less thirsty.” The most important part is yet to come. It was a limited release beverage and only “available” if you returned a Gulp bottle cap to your local grocery store. Big Deal! One could use the cap of an old gulp drink to purchase a new bottle. (But where to purchase the old gulp drink from?)

Just click on this site link and thank god that you did not fall into the clutches of this “gulp”. Also, do not forget to visit the FAQs on the same site for more fun!

3

TWITTER TO TWTTR (2013)
Twitter announced  a fake 2 tier system. One, TWTTR where vowels could not be used and other one which came at a price of $5 a month where one could use any and every letter.  TWTTR  however,  was as true as the vowels in it.

5

OLA-AIR (2015)
This prank was aimed for the clientele in India and began in the morning when Ola sent out a tweet announcing the release of OlaAir that is a helicopter cab service. Though some believed this in the beginning, others played along joining in on the joke.

The video featuring OlaAir is as funny as the prank. Click on this link already!

Now that you’re aware of their plans and strategies, we hope you don’t fall for their tricks this time!

CCTV Footage Of Kolkata FlyOver Collapase Is Chilling And Immensely Tragic..!!

0

At least 14 people have died and 100 are feared to be trapped after a flyover being built in Kolkata collapsed.

Firefighters and residents were trying to rescue those trapped under the wreckage of the metal and cement structure, which came down in a busy commercial district of the Indian city.

(  Helpline numbers: 1070, 033-2214-3526, 033-2253-5185, 033-2214-5664 )

“Monumental tragedy. Rescue ops on. Many feared dead,” Derek O’Brien, spokesman for the left-wing party that governs the state of West Bengal of which Kolkata is the capital, said in a tweet.

More than 70 injured were admitted to two hospitals in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal state, hospital officials said.

“The condition is pathetic. At this moment no one has any clue how many people are trapped,” said Raichand Mohta, a police officer at the scene.

The Indian home minister, Rajnath Singh, tweeted his concern and announced that rescue teams would be rushed to the scene.

Yet there was little sign of a coordinated rescue operation, with access for heavy lifting equipment restricted by the buildings on either side of the flyover and heavy traffic in the area.

After the tragic event took place, we have now access to CCTV footage for the Flyover collapse and it is shocking and chilling in equal parts. Here’s how it happened :

Do We Know About The First And Longest Kiss Of Bollywood Till Date?

0

I remember a time when kiss scenes of Indian cinema were discussed with lots of curiosity, sighs and blushes. Teenagers and youngsters hit theaters for that one kiss and remained enthralled for so many days following it.

Kisses and Emraan Hashmi have an inherent connection as he has been hailed as the kissing Star of Indian cinema. It’s been over a decade since Emraan Hashmi became the kissing icon of Bollywood. Kisses are now getting routine in Bollywood and all major actors, barring few, are comfortable doing onscreen kissing scenes.

Here’s one question, I bet, you guys did not know. When was the first kiss happened on Indian celluloid and who pulled that scene for apparently the first generation of movie goers?

It was way back in 1933 between Devika Rani and Himanshu Roy in the movie ‘Karma’. However that kiss scene was far from being sensuous and steamy; rather it was affectionate showering of love by the heroine to the hero who was apparently back from the death. The hero, Himanshu Roy is lying inert and the heroine Devika Rani blows a trail of kisses, showering her affection on hero’s resurrection.

The kiss is said to be lasted for four minutes and apparently the longest kiss in Bollywood till date. Devika Rani and Himanshu Roy happened to be wife and husband in real life. That apart, they were truly legendary actors and deserve to be hailed as first kissers of Indian cinema.

Why India Will Win The Semi Final Clash Over West Indies….Like A Boss..!!

0

Team India faces off West Indies in the do or die clash tonight in ICC T20 World Cup, as stakes get higher and higher. What is ironical to note is, Both of these teams have won the cup previously in this format of the game. And if experts take is to be taken in stride, these two teams are perfectly poised to cancel out each other. Matching in swashbuckling batsmen, loaded with wily spinners, and pitching tearing seam bowling options. However there’s something in history which says Team India has the edge over the Caribbean dashers, and might as well go on to script an emphatic win. Factors which push this fact home are :

Virat Kohli Vs Chris Gayle :

2Simple concept of Law Of Averages going for Kohli here. Kohli’s enviable batting average ( whopping 72.01 ) against Chris Gayle ( 42.27 ) affirms the consistently by which the Indian Batting Stalwart, has dominated the clashes. Though Gayle is always an unpredictable hurricane when it comes to batting in India, however not so much against India. Thank to the Indian Premier League, each of India’s bowlers have enough experience of bowling against Gayle. And his nemesis will be R.Ashwin who has managed to dismiss Gayle maximum number of times.

Assistance From Wankhede Stadium :

1The Wankhede Stadium track being prepared for the ICC World T20 semi final clash between India and the West Indies is unlikely to favor the batsmen to the same extent as it did in the earlier matches, it has been learnt. “There’s an even coating of grass to bind the wicket, but the track would be slower than in earlier games. But it will still be a good T20 wicket,” informed sources said here today ahead of the March 31 clash which is to be witnessed by a packed capacity crowd of 33,000 spectators. This is in favor to India, as it has more bowling options with even part timers coming to the party.

Spinners In Prime Form :

R ashwinThe major difference that West Indies And India glaringly have is in the spin department. With R.Ashwin and Raina being almost the regular spin options, there are still a few tricks up the sleeve of Dhoni to whisk out wickets, with introducing Harbhajan Singh ( in place of Bhumra we assume ) and fully utilize the greener surface which has historically assisted the flight and trajectory of ball. However Sunil Narine, the legendary spinner, will be desperately trying to open his magic box here. But only one won’t be enough to disrupt the power packed Indian team build.

Stronger Middle Order :

3The Windies will depend heavily on Gayle to fire in this historical match. However, in a situation where the power hitter is dismissed cheaply, the glaring inconsistencies of the middle order will surely come to the fore. yes, there are big names of Bravo, Ramdin, Samuels, but then no one matches the destructive power to Gayle and not so much in form.

And Lastly One Man, One Word Will Win The Match For Us : MS DHONI.

All The Best Team India..!!

Judge Denies Alimony and Advices Wife To Find a Job To Uphold Equality..!

0

In a decision, one which can be termed as a game changing revolutionary take, Delhi District Judge Rekha Rani instructed a woman seeking an alimony of Rs 12000 (approximately $180) from her estranged husband, to find a job instead. When the man was told to pay maintenance/compensation every month, he challenged the trial court order on the grounds that his wife was more qualified than he was (she being a gold medallist in a Master of Sciences program).

He also persisted that she was able bodied, and could easily be employed. He also alleged that his wife had not applied for a job anywhere and only wanted to sit idle and be a constant financial burden to him.

She had countered stating that she did not posses any work experience whatsoever and would have trouble finding any sort of job in her current situation. However, when she mentioned that she had never travelled alone and wanted her husband to travel with her and help her find a job, the court found it “neither palatable nor digestible.”

The judge held that if she could come to court to fight a litigation alone, she was capable of finding a job as well.

blind-justice3-1-inline_large_verge_medium_landscapeCases concerning alimony in India are highly subjective and the court always needs to weigh the individual merits of each case. Some of the factors taken into account for permanent alimony for the wife are as follows:

• The status and position of the husband (purely from a financial position and not a social position), his income, assets, and lifestyle;
• The reasonable wants of a wife (including the necessities of the child’s present and future requirements, if a child is involved);
• The wife’s own income and earnings.

Hopefully this decision, which upheld the spirit of equality in the truest sense of the word, will bring about a change in a judiciary mechanism for ages to come.

Street Talent From Chennai, Hepsiba, Wins Gold At World Street Child Games In Brazil

In our country, more often than not we fail in providing poor children with proper sports facilities. Certainly, children from poor economic background have to work for earning two square meals a day. In this scenario, formal sports amenities remain a dream for such children. Yet, there is no denying the fact that there are children still who have sportive talents which are groomed in dirty streets around the twilight every day. Without formal coach and sports shoes, such kids go on playing sports to their utmost satisfaction and many a times excelling at them.

The recent example to this is a flower selling girl, R. Hepsiba, who is just back from Brazil after winning as many as three medals, one is gold in it, and all in the field of athletics. Sixteen years old, Hepsiba, represented India in the World Street Child Games which was held a week ago in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
2 The Hindu writes about her, “When Hepsiba runs, it is as if she can fly with the wind and skip through the air. Some say she picked up the skill on the streets where she lived. But her coach believes she is a natural sprinter”.

Hepsiba hails from Chennai and lives with her mother and three siblings. Her father passed away when she was just three years old. Hepsiba has already participated in many local and district level competitions. An NGO, Karunalaya, spotted her talent and that is how she landed this huge opportunity to represent India at international level.

Hepsiba is not the only street talent, there are many like her. What we need to do is to spot them and groom them in the atmosphere their talents require. And there will be no dearth of laurels and accolades for the country.

Back to Hepsiba, we congratulate her and wish her all success along the way!

Virat Kohli And Chris Gayle Dancing Together Gives Us All The Chills..!!

0

Let’s be honest, If Chris Gayle played with  right hand, The sequel to ‘Kapoor and Sons’ could’ve been done with Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle. I mean come on, they definetly look like they are just brothers from different mothers, kinda. Courageous, Unflinching, Stylish and Vivacious, Kohli and Gayle mirror each other in not only their personality trailts but also their sporting DNA.

And yeah we know that this isn’t a new video, but then isn’t it just adorable to see the spirit of Cricket ( and Good Times ) being upheld in their partying. And did we mention that Kohli is a fantastic dancer too. Seriously man ! This guy can do everything.

Just to add to the awesomeness, A mix of AB Devilliers and Yuvraj are thrown, so you can happily smile in peace. Holla..! Without further adieu let’s watch it out then..!

6 Reasons You Should Stop Calling CRICKET A Man’s Game!

0

By Tarz Rabbani

Change of perceptions work splendidly well..! Thats the case with this article. More often than not, we come across the phrase that ” Cricket Is A Gentleman’s Man “. Well this article will tell that this quote isn’t exactly true. Here’s why :

Have you seen Virat Kohli?

1Honestly I don’t need to list out 6 reasons this single reason is good enough. No girl wishes to miss out on the awesomeness of this genius of a man. Not only does he own a badass attitude but also is a swashbuckling player as well, making him drool worthy and every girl’s crush.

Eye Candy

2Our men is blue are surely taking their fitness to a next level. They manage to take two runs when there is scope for only one, and their fielding is totally on point, mostly. They look good, play good and give out some real fitness goals to the rest of the world, and some real hard core crushes for the girls.

We are better Cheerleaders!

3No, not referring to the actual cheerleaders even though they are good at their job. But just look at the girls and ladies holding posters of their favorite cricket stars and shouting slogans with all their might. They just don’t care about how sweaty and oily their face looks, all they care for is to cheer for their team and do it with all their heart.

Emotional Drama..!

4Well it is true; girls feel the ups and downs of the game with the amount of  intensity no guy can. With an outburst of tears when things aren’t going well on the ground to kisses to the television screen, every emotion is doubled and delivered without any hesitation.  The involvement in the game is unbeatable and unmatchable.

SportWOMENship..!

5Well, not all women like cricket, this isn’t any breaking news, and the reason they would not know the head and tail of the game. (Not all women, a few) but even if women don’t understand all the math of this sport, they will sit down and watch it and get excited and give our comments like a pro, making them adorable cricket freaks.

Patriotic Best

6Women bleed blue and how! Oozing with the overwhelming desire of watching their country win women are at their patriotic best. Dressed in blue tees with the Tri-color painted on their faces all their heat beats and a wish for during a match is to see the team shine. Biting their nails, they sit at the edge of their seats to watch their country go a step further and win by all means.

All the lady luck …with team INDIA!

Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao,kcr

The TS government has decided to gift MLAs and MLCs iPods and iPhones on Tuesday when both Houses adopt the Appropriation Bill.

Finance minister Etela Rajender will also be organizing a big dinner for the legislators on Tuesday night. Earlier, too, in united AP, governments would lavish gifts on legislators.

The 120 MLAs and 40 MLCs (including ministers) will receive gift coupons from the finance ministry that are exchangeable for iPods and iPhones. A special budgetary allocation of around Rs 1.5 crore has been sanctioned by the finance ministry for this.

However sources said no such gifts were given last year. Meanwhile, legislative affairs minister T. Harish Rao hosted a dinner meeting at Grand Kakatiya Hotel on Monday night to appraise legislators on the second phase of Mission Kakatiya works.

The lavish gift presentations don’t just end with Salary hike and expensive electronic goods, the legislators have also pressed for plots and houses in Hyderabad, reports IBNLive. The reason that they cited was that they come from other cities.

On Tuesday morning, Telangana Assembly unanimously passed a bill to effect hike in salaries of the legislators. The hike would cost the state Rs 42.67 crore per annum.
